Leder efter paradis? Her er det på El Matador! Skal være den mest eftertragtede familieferie på Emerald Coast. En afsondret ejerlejlighed beliggende mellem de smukke hvide klitter og den glitrende Emerald Waters i Mexicogolfen.

El Matador er virkelig en badeby. Kun to miles ned Santa Rosa Blvd i slutningen af øen finder du os - afsondret, men stadig kun få minutter til alle de bekvemmeligheder, Destin og Fort Walton Beach har at byde på. Kun seks miles ned Hwy. 98 kan du nyde Destin - "The Worlds Luckiest Fishing Village" - charter en privat tur eller tag børnene ud på en gruppebåd og få aftensmad. Mens i Destin nyder fine restauranter, shopping og golf på nogle af de bedste golfbaner i Panhandle of Florida. Svære at tro, at du måske har brug for en fridag fra stranden, men hvis du tager familien til Big Kahunas Water Park i centrum af gamle Destin. Meget mere end bare en vandland ... det er en sjov dag!

Tilbage på El Matador nyd de store græsarealer mellem vores bygninger lige lige til familie sjov og spil. Med to puljer passer hans og hendes boblebad og saunaer lige for dine trætte muskler efter et spil tennis på en af vores domstole eller i vores fitnesscenter. Vi er placeret i slutningen af Okaloosa Island en lille barriere ø mellem Fort Walton Beach og Destin. Dette gated community med tretten miles af uudviklede strande mod vest er sikker på, at du længes efter at vende tilbage.

This room is not beachfront but you do have 3 different views of the ocean. So that was nice. It is a short simply walk to the beach and the pool, less than 5 mins. This is located on the second floor. The room was clean but outdated. It was great for us we didn’t mind. There are no cleaning supplies at this property. They leave you a few trash bags and 2 packets to use in the dishwasher. No dish soap, paper towels, broom, Etc. There are a few cooking items, plates, cups. Big refrigerator. The 2 twin beds were comfortable, however the king bed wasn’t the best, but served its purpose and we got a decent nights rest each night. Again for the price we were okay with this. We will be staying again! Big shout out to Alabama Richey!

We had a short stay but we enjoyed it very much! It was our first time down there! It was beautiful each day! And the room was dated but worked out just fine for us!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: El Matador is a very nice, and quite complex. Just so happen this stay the whirlpool/sauna area and restrooms included were out for 3-4 days of my seven day stay. Unit 122 is very much outdated: The carpet was dirty and moldie, broken drawers in the refrigerator, No ceiling fans, description on the website is very MISLEADING. I called the office several times and asked about this particular unit. Mold/rust around the shower; shower in the extra bathroom is entirely too small for an adult. Master bedroom bed is “like” sleeping on the floor. Several light bulbs were out. Obviously, nobody inspected this unit, if they would have they should have caught the light bulb on the patio/balcony was put and several in the guest bathroom was out. The chairs were corroding from salt water erosion. All the beach supplies were outdated. The paint on the patio door was peeling. Don’t plan to ever rent this one again. Sad because my family and I have been vacationing in Fort Walton-El Matador for 25 plus years and we are planning to move to another location in 2027. Very Disappointed!!!

Very nice quiet area with beautiful beach. Unit was very clean but could use some updating. The complex was very clean and well kept as well as very spacious green space.

My birthday trip

The property was fine i requested beachfront an it wasnt. The kitchen was poorly stocked with utensils an cookware. The property was nice the beach was beautiful it was a nice little walk to the beach which im not use to. I would recommend it

Unit 122 Needs updating!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 122 needs updating. The carpet need to be taken up and removed and replaced with Tile. The master bedroom mattress has a huge dip in the middle and need to be replaced .The master bedroom toilet would not flush completely. I had to call to report the issue we had to set up a date and time for a plumber to come out. He wasn’t able to fix because they would have to turn the water off of the whole building. This plumber appointment altered my plans for that. There was black spots on the door from the shower area. Over all the unit 122 I would give 2 out of 3. The refrigerator was great and cold. This condo is at the end of the strip.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been visiting the Destin/FWB area and using AJ Hollis for several years. They are great to book through. We have stayed at the el matador condos previously. They are older buildings, but in the past rooms were kept in decent/excellent condition. This unit unfortunately was not and is far past time for a renovation. Below is a list of issues we discovered in our 7 day stay there.Badly worn/gouged/dirty tile flooring. Kitchen counter top is not anchored to cabinets beside the oven. The bar countertop is not supported and sags badly. I wouldn't lean on it (its that bad)Oven takes 30-45 min to preheat (verified 2x when using for frozen pizza).Faulty electrical outlets. The receptacles are badly worn or not proper size/code for modern day plugs and whatever you plug in simply falls halfway or all the way out of the receptacle. Not just an annoying inconvenience, but also a serious fire/safety hazard. This wasn't one outlet either, it was nearly all of them.Badly damaged dining table chairs. Patio furniture is also badly rusted/bad condition.AC unit runs constantly like it will not maintain the temp. Also the entire unit has a musty/mildew? smell to it. By the end of the week everyone in our family had sore throats/sinus issues.The master bathtub has been repaired several times for cracks with large silicone repairs. The shower head doesn't work properly. No drain stopper either.No central lighting or ceiling fans (just lamps).Pros: Nice TVs in bedrooms and living rooms. We only had to spend 7 days there. I would not keep my family in this unit again. Pick carefully or avoid el matador is my advice and lesson from this trip.

We were not in a building right next to the beach, but it wasn't much of a walk at all, just across the parking lot. Family friendly place. Not a crowded beach. Very nice employees working the entrances when you got there. When I had a question before arriving the people answering the phones at Alicia Hollis were polite and helpful. Love to come back!!

We have stayed on 1st floors and they were in better condition. It was disappointing to have to call for third TV in 2nd bedroom, but a TV was installed on the second day.I have always RECOMMENED other families but will not recommend that UNIT 122

A few tips: stop at reality for keys and meal plan around a skillet

Excellent location and beautiful views! This property had a couple things that we expected and didn’t have. A vacuum or dustpan (broom but no dust pan), a set of pots and pans, and silverware. We didn’t check the cabinets before we made our first grocery run and became inventive with the one skillet and the one fork. We also weren’t aware that the check-in location was a different “office” than the property “office.” There were a few things that I would have cleaned but overall this is a great property! The views and location made up for the MINOR inconveniences of key pickup and unstocked kitchen.
