Great Place Great Host

We had a wonderful stay at such a nicely equipped and decorated cabin. Jennifer has done a great job with the place and she went out of her way to make our stay perfect! I certainly recommend this to anyone visiting Madison.

Felt like home

When staying here I felt like I was at home and didn't want to leave when my stay was up. The wood cabin esque and smell of the wood when walking into the front door was amazing. I highly recommend and would stay here again.

Perfectly cozy!

There is nothing about this cabin in the city that we would change. It was unique, fun and very comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer and highly recommend to anyone considering this rental.

A little city a little country

What a great cabin! All of the big city amenities and then home to a cabin. So clean and private! We loved it and will be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in Madison. You can’t beat it.

Perfect urban “camping” experience in a beautiful neighborhood in a wonderful city. You will love the cabin and Madison ... unless you’re a dyspeptic troll, of course.

Perfect couples getaway

We loved our weekend at the cabin. Everything was above and beyond our expectations. It is close enough to town and also close to lakes and a nice trail to explore with our pup. Woke up to a friendly deer in the woods checking us out. We hope to come back again next summer. Thank you Jennifer for being a great host!

beautiful craftsmanship!

The cabin is beautifully done and very comfortable. Its nice that you are right in the city, yet don't feel like it. Nice area where you feel safe. Cabin has everything you would need. The fire pit outside is a nice touch. If you are coming to the city but still want your own space, and enjoy cabins and fires, its perfect. I enjoyed it.

Charming cabin!

Stellar craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Quiet location but close-in to Madison’s east side. A branch of the Willy St. Food Coop and other stores and restaurants are a short drive away. Jennifer was quite helpful, with flexibility around early check-in time since the cabin was ready (and the option for late check-out too). Everything you might need for a cozy get-away (but bring your own hair dryer if you’ll need one). We look forward to staying here again! Thanks, Jennifer!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and the best part is you are planning a second trip! I have to credit the Amish we work with and my husband for the design and unique craftsmanship. I noted you said the hair dryer is missing, so I'll go pick one up today! Thanks again for coming, for being awesome guests and we are glad to be a small part of your travel fun! Jennifer & Jeff

Snowy weekend

Luckily we had rented the City-Cabin for our snowy April weekend. Staring out at the spring forsythia blooming in yards covered in snow, while we were snug in the cabin made us shake our heads at Wisconsin weather. The cabin is spacious and clean. 2 tvs made everyone happy, plus all the utensils and appliances available if cooking was on the agenda. The shower was hot and the towels were soft. Absolutely met all our needs!

This was a fun, comfortable cabin in a lovely neighborhood with a great location in Madison. The dining table easily shared meals with my office desk, and I never had an issue with connectivity for webinars and Zoom calls. I loved being so close to Willy's Co-op and the Sunday Farmers Market, as well as some of the main roads to happy places like Perennial Yoga in the Garver Feed Mill, restaurants, and shopping. We spent much time at the three closest of Dane County Parks with off-leash trails within 6, 12, and 23 minutes (permit required), and also hiked at Governor Nelson and Devils Lake State Parks. The biggest treat was having Lake View Hill Park right out the front door. The kitchen satisfied a picky chef, and my only longing was to have more than just a few days to enjoy the heated floors - because it was warmer than usual for this time of year!A month well spent.

Perfect getaway spot!

Jennifer made our check in SO easy! The place was perfect for our mini getaway during Xmas break! The cabin was so clean and had everything we could possibly need! My 11 year old daughter LOVED the loft space and the location is right by a forest and offered a cute trail for us to walk our dog! The cabin is close to downtown, but feels like you're far away in the mountains! Thank you Jennifer - we plan to come back!

Do yourself a favor...

The City Cabin is a fantastic hidden gem right on Madison's north side. It provides a cozy and comfortable place to settle in for a night or a longer stay. All of the amenities, personal touches and decorations, and friendly and helpful property managers made my stay absolutely perfect. I would recommend this fabulous cabin for anyone who is looking to have their own space, especially if you love nature and feeling completely tucked away in a beautiful wooded setting. Do yourself a favor and enjoy City Cabin; I know I plan to the next time I am in Madison.

I could live here forever!

Such a charming and comfortable cabin in a neighborhood and surroundings that are serene and peaceful. Deer, a turkey family... all passed through and a nature preserve/hike right around the corner/out the back door. It was so close to family and friends and all that downtown Madison had to offer... Capitol, museums, state street, swans and eagle viewing on lake mendota...5+

A long weekend in Madison

The property was great and a fun respite. It is close to a great park and trail system that we enjoyed using and it is a quick drive into the heart of Madison. It had a lot of charm and we would definitely stay there again!
