Owner was super accommodating in rebooking our visit when we had to cancel due to flooding! Very much appreciated. Condo was great, location amazing, ample parking. Unfortunately we would not stay again because no AC was uncomfortable.

Beautiful location and view

The condo was very nice, beautiful view and great location. There is an amazing restaurant on the 1st floor with a wonderful view of the Ocean. However, with no AC it was almost unbearable, that being said, we were there during hurricane Lala, it was very HOT and MUGGY. Normally I'm sure it would be tolerable. We were able to obtain 2 portable AC units; without them we wouldn't have been able to stay there. The owner was very responsive, which was great. Highly recommend during cooler months. We plan on going back.

We enjoyed the location of the condo. The view was spectacular. Far enough out of downtown Kihei, yet close enough to enjoy. Even though the weather was 80 degrees, there were plenty of fans in the condo to keep us cool enough and to sleep comfortably. The living room furniture was uncomfortable and the cookware needs upgrading. Other details could be addressed, but, overall, we had a great stay.

Amazing!!! very clean, everything we needed was there. The view was spectacular. We would absolutely stay there again. Everything was very well organized and checking in and checking out. All were super easy.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time here. The place was beautiful. There was a small miscommunication at check-in but the host was more than accommodating! 5 stars and would stay here again!

Just Amazing

The sunsets were great. We saw a turtle on the beach a couple mornings we were there. Close to a lot of great food and beaches. The owner let us have a late check out because our late flight didn’t interfere with anyone else checking in.

Clean, comfortable, convenient. Nice views. Easy elevator access. Well appointed kitchen. Helpful local concierge (via email). Perfect for four people.

Beautiful views

Having 2 bathrooms was easily one of the best features. Sounds weird…. But it was. Not having to take turns getting ready in the morning saved so much time. The unit was well equipped with towels, beach items and kitchen equipment. Would definitely recommend and return. There were a few minor issues, but the Evolve team was quick to respond and answer questions.

Great ending to our Hawaiian vacation.

Great location. Great amenities. Great views. Wonderful place. However needed a few minor fixes and cleaning. Lot of sand and beach toys in the second bedroom closet that had to be cleaned before we could un pack.

Beautiful condo

We love Menehune Shores, the location is perfect with ocean views and morning beach walks. This condo was also lovely. We listened to the ocean waves every night. It was about 85 degress F, so we definitely needed all the fans. Very comfortable unit. So great to have the beach chairs and a small cooler for guest use. We also appreciated the 4 chairs on the lanai so we could all enjoy the view.

8 night stay

Location to beach access and things to do met our expectations. The view from the room was spectacular from Sunrise to Sunset. The pool was great for our kiddos after long adventures or windy days. Having No AC, crazy winds and warm nights made sleeping a challenge. The contact person was quick to address all concerns and questions we had. We had a lovely vacationOabout the property.

Very nice Condo

The condo was excellent. We enjoyed it. On hot days it would be nice to have air conditioning. They have some fan towers but no central or window air conditioners. Other wise this is a great condo, well stocked, and centrally located in a very nice complex.

Place was nice but could use a little upgrade

The unit was nice however in need of an upgrade. Bathrooms definitely need a deep clean but in general it was equipped with all the basic needs and extra towels. Maybe they could add a blender! We mainly cooked there but were limited due to the lack of one. The property in general is nice with a good size pool and direct access to the beach. Our stay was pleasant.

Great Beach Access

This condo was the perfect intro to Maui for us. This was our first time on the island and we found this location to be really well located. 15ish minutes to the aquarium and a marina that we used for excursions. Plenty of nearby places to eat (you will drive but it’s only a few minutes) Great beach accessiblity, walk right out to it and the pool is gorgeous. This host is an excellent communicator and super easy to work with. My sister stayed in a different nearby condo building and once she saw ours, she was so much more impressed with the amenities. We did not bring our kids this trip but we saw plenty of families and would definitely recommend this location for guests of all ages

Disappointing

Resort was nice - unit was not. The unit needed a deep clean, new towels, new mattresses and maintenance. It was so bad, we made alternate arrangements at another location and ended up paying double for our stay. Mold in showers, dirty floors, electrical hazards, bodily stains on mattress. The outside property was well manicured and very well maintained - including the grills and pool chairs. The tidal pool outback is great for small children and seniors. The Indian restaurant on location was great. The room layout of the rental unit was nice.

Great condo, management out of contact

we really, really enjoyed our stay at this Beachside condo. I loved listening to the ocean waves every night and the children enjoyed the pool. the beach in front of the condo is enclosed by a rock wall that once formed a native Hawaiian fish pool, which makes the water calm and quiet right there. I went snorkeling right there, and saw schools of fish inside the pond, and many kinds of tropical fish as well as turtles on at the other side of the rock wall. the condo was pretty comfortable, with good beds. the only downside to our stay, and we had was a big sit down side, was that nobody in the communications chain is actually able to communicate. This condo is run by a network, owned by a private owner, and managed by somebody else.

No AC and extreme wind in the afternoon made this less than ideal

The unit itself is fairly run down (with the exception of the kitchen), and the location, while central to the island is in the middle of a wind tunnel - crazy wind starting early afternoon and lasting until sunset daily. Very hot and very dry part of the island. Also, couldn’t catch the building admin for a parking pass as they’re only around 9a-2p. This was on the spendier end of the spectrum, and not worth half of what we paid.

Dave, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -We are sorry to hear you were uncomfortable with the wind coming in; we believe that this does often help with the high temperatures during the day and the fact that there is no AC in the unit. Though we do have ceiling fans in each room and three electric fans in some of the closets, if you prefer to keep the doors and windows closed -We state that you're welcome to pick up a parking permit at the office between the hours of 9:00 A.M and 2:00 P.M in the check-in instructions. We're sorry if these hours inconvenienced you; we ask that future guests keep this in mind -We are constantly upgrading the unit with new furnishings and appliances. We recently (in the last seven months) invested a considerable amount into these aspects of the unit. We don't usually receive complaints about the interior of the home so we will not be considering any significant changes soon We appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve and help this homeowner provide guests with the 5-star service they are known for. We hope to host you again soon!

Awesome view

We come to Maui twice a year to see our grandkids and always stay at Menehune Shores. This unit needs lots of work. The bathrooms have been nicely remodeled but the remaining needs paint and the kitchen needs a lot of updating. The issues we had were that the rental company sent us check in information for in entirely different resort. The smoke detectors were alarming and did not work properly. Our contact person did not remedy the situation for us and the maintenance person eat Menehune said “that wasn’t his problem if it was something inside the unit, that is the owners responsible.” We still had a great time with our grandchildren and will always look for units available at Menehune because of the location.
