Catch and release fly fishing only with a Colorado State fishing license.
Do not fish beyond the section of river between the two fences that define our property—the community is very sensitive to fishing rights and maintaining the river’s gold medal status.
No events or parties.
No smoking or vaping indoors.
No more than 15 people and 6 vehicles at any time on the property.

As intrepid travelers ourselves, we love hosting other travelers. We particularly enjoy sharing our family's love and knowledge of Colorado. As Colorado mom and pop shop, we pride ourselves on offering unique, experiential vacation lodging. Our family believes the Colorado River Dome, Terra Cottage at the Earthly Oasis, and our lakeside garden suite in Broomfield are each magical in their own unique ways. Bailey is an hour to Denver, Breckenridge and the Dream Stream. Without the hassle of I70, it makes the mountains easier and more enjoyable. The US285 corridor is gorgeous and less trafficked
Bailey and Park County have always been friendly, outdoorsy, and unpretentious. In the nearly 15 years since we purchased the River Dome, the community has evolved. The Aspen Peak Winery moved to town, adding fine wine, dining and live music to Bailey. Two Dad's started offering riverside pizza and craft beer. Good pizza!!
Bailey has a couple of coffee shops, ice cream, Chinese, BBQ, a brewery, fly fishing shop and guiding service, dispensary, and, of course, our infamous hot dog stand.
**2 Dads Eatery and Taproom** in Bailey, CO, and we can't recommend it enough! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for families and friends alike. Their menu is diverse, featuring handcrafted burgers, sandwiches, salads, and daily specials that cater to all tastes. The taproom boasts an impressive selection of local craft beers, wine, and cocktails, making it a great spot to unwind. They also host live music events and community activities, adding to the vibrant ambiance.
5. **Mad Jack's Mountain Brewery**: This brewery has a fantastic selection of food and beverages. It's perfect for hanging out with friends and enjoying some local brews.
**China Village Chinese Restaurant**: This place is a gem for authentic Chinese cuisine. The stir fry, noodle dishes, and fried rice were all delicious, and the outdoor seating was a nice touch.
**Cutthroat Cafe**: A cozy, family-run cafe that offers a variety of breakfast options, salads, and burgers. The friendly service and tasty food made it a memorable experience.
**285 Pete's Pies**: If you're a pizza lover, this is the place to be. Their flavorful pies and friendly atmosphere are top-notch.
**Knotty Pine**: An ice cream shop that also serves burgers and snacks. It's a great spot to grab a treat and enjoy the local vibe.

Freshly renovated in 2024, the Colorado River Dome offers inspired and energy efficient architecture with designer, luxury and local touches. Expansive, open concept living room allows for seamless flow between kitchen, dining room, and living room. The River Dome has two main floor bedrooms and bathrooms. Accessed via spiral stairs, Expansive room for families and small groups.
Before buying the dome in 2010, we passed it hundreds of times on our way to adventures around the state and region. Every time we passed we'd imagine the sound of the North Fork of the South Platte streaming through the backyard and what it looked like on the inside. When the property came up for sale by the original owners and builders, we were the first in line to check it out. It was love at first sight. At the time, we were dedicated urbanites. We lived and worked in downtown Denver.. Our original plan was to make it a second home. Within months we abandoned that idea and moved in full time. The magic of hummingbirds in the summer, an easy commute to Denver, Breckenridge and the Dream Stream, along with fantastic leg burning trails to run in our backyard ... it was amazing and for the years we lived there, we rolled in it like a dog in wet grass.
