Charmerende Cape Cottage i Chatham til den bedste pris, 2 minutter fra stranden!

We enjoyed having such an old and distinguished Cape family as yourselves, and we are delighted to say that Cape Codders often stay with us, too! We have tried to leave as much of the historical Cape aspect to the house as we can, while providing the essential conveniences for a cottage near the beach. As for the "weather", well, even THAT is special (but thankfully rare!)

It has been our pleasure to host many new guests and returning "friends" that we have made over the years. We wanted to create a "homey" atmosphere of hospitable Cape living, and with all the modern comforts that we have added, the house still maintains a bit of the "historical" character of the Cape in the 60's and 70's. Come join us!

Thanks Stephanie, the cottage has been in our family for three generations, and we try to improve add comforts for our guests every. Please come visit us again!

We enjoy providing the comforts and personal touches that have made our home the perfect get-away for our parent, grandparents, and our own kids. We have met so many great people and made new friends after more than 10 years of renting, and it's folk like you Lisa, and your family, that make the experience of being hosts so much fun, and it is very gratifying to hear how much our guests are enjoying a week near the Beach. We have all new mattresses and bedding this year, and a Queen bed is a great idea. Thanks for your comments!

Thanks Shevaughn! We look forward to seeing you again in the future. We have many visitors who have returned again and again. Glad you enjoyed your visit!

We delight in having so many new visitors every year, and are even happier that so many become "old friends" and return time after time. We recommend booking as far ahead as possible, and don't forget that we have discounted rates late Fall through early Spring!

Thanks, Marshall, September is our family's 60th year as owners of Forest Sands Cottage, and we are delighted to welcome so many guests from many of the 50 States, Canada, as well as new friends from Abroad. We try to add new features and improve our property with every passing season, while keeping the traditional character of our classic Cape. Best wishes!

Chris & Bill, it was a pleasure to welcome you and your family, and thanks for treating OUR family's place as if it was your very own. We want everyone to feel at home, and we look forward to having you again next year!

Thanks Susan, you're right! As Patti Page sang it: "If you're fond of sand dunes and salty air, quaint little villages here and there, you're sure to fall in love with old Cape Cod..."

Boats, boats, and more boats! Few people realize that Chatham is surrounded by water on three sides. We have local fishing and tuna charters galore, also Monomoy Island seal cruises, Whale cruises, and the local Fast Ferry that carries our guests to Nantucket Island in a little over an hour. Reservations are always recommended.

We always take pleasure in providing for our guests and anticipating their needs in making The Cape a unique experience. We keep the house in the charming way that our grandparents set it years ago, comfort and simplicity. We pride ourselves on owning our "Classic Cape", and we hope you'll come back again and again! Bikes are safe to be left out anywhere in Chatham, but we will provide cable bike locks for future shopping expeditions.

Thanks, we are so happy you came, but for our other guests a note about Pets. We are sorry but we can longer invite visitors with their pets due to housekeeping and allergy issues with some of our "annual returning" guests. We have had no "pet visitors" since 2013, but we hope you can arrange a vacation for them too, then stay with us and enjoy the fresh air!

We're happy to see old Cape friends come back year after year, and as many of our guests have a variety of needs, we've collected bikes, toys, and activities for sunny and rainy days, too!

Thanks Heather, it's great that over many years the Cape has been a favorite spot for you and your family. Come back soon, let's have cocktails on the Beach!
