This was our 2nd time staying at Maria's property in the Rio Mar resort community. It is very comfortable for a family of four. Looking forward to another return trip.

Very nice stay in Rio MarWe spent a week at this VRBO in Rio Mar and overall had a very nice stay. The location is excellent—safe, quiet, and well maintained—with convenient access to the Wyndham Rio Mar resort, beaches, and nearby dining. It was a great base for both relaxing and exploring the island.The unit was clean and well-equipped, and everything worked as expected. The furnishings are a bit older and the beds were comfortable enough but nothing exceptional. That said, the space was functional, comfortable, and met our needs well for a weeklong stay.Communication with the host was smooth, and check-in and check-out were easy.Overall, a solid and enjoyable rental in a great location, and we would happily return.

Comfortable and Spacious with view of El Yunque

My husband, adult daughter and i stayed here over Christmas break. The location was perfect for visiting San Juan or El Yunque as well as enjoying the convenience and beauty of the resort. We also rented the available golf cart which made getting around the resort fun and without parking fees. Wed stay here again .

A Very Nice Villa

The Property Mgr was very helpful in every aspect of renting the villa. The villa was very comfortable and the location was perfect. The availability of the golf cart was extremely important for getting to the beach and hotel restaurants. We rank this villa very high.

Wonderful Week

We had a great week in Puerto Rico. Our host was easy to contact and sent recommendations for us during our stay. The condominium was perfect for us and we really enjoyed the patio - it included a gas grill which we enjoyed (and was stocked with an extra propane tank).

Beautiful Villa

This property was fantastic! Very secure, clean and easy to find. If you stay here you will need the Golf Cart as the resort amenities are not close by for walking distance for the Casino, Beach, or restaurants. However Our host was extremely communicative, responsive, and informed about the Villa and the entire area! We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous property in Rio Mar

We had a wonderful stay at this villa. It was beautiful and spacious and the location was excellent. It was close to a number of beaches and the rain forest. It was clean and well appointed and the grounds of the complex were immaculate. It was also very safe with multiple security check points for entry. The host responded timely to all our communications. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful property!

The villa was clean, spacious and quiet, and offered easy access to the beach, pools, tennis courts, El Yunque, and plenty of restaurants and other activities on the island. Beautiful views of the golf course and mountains! The owner was super responsive to questions and provided us with plenty of suggestions for our trip. We were very sad to leave and hope to return some time soon. Highly recommend!

Peaceful retreat

My family and I stayed for a week and had the best time! We are 2 adults and 2 boys, ages 8 and 9. We rented the golf cart from Maria which worked out well. The pools at the resort are gorgeous and the peacefulness of the community in the evening is so relaxing. We were able to do several nearby excursions and the local food surrounding the resort was all excellent. We would definitely stay here again! The space was clean, modern, and very comfortable!

Great location

This was our annual trip with close friends. We were told at the last minute that the Villa no longer allowed Short Term Rentals. This created some anxiety for the trip. Once we got into the unit , it was clean, but needed some updates. Resort was beautiful. Beach was great. Two lovely golf courses and convenient to restaurants and shops.

Comfortable, Convenient Location

The RioMar resort is well known in Puerto Rico and it's location close to many outdoor activities and day-trip friendly to San Juan metro area made it a great place for our family who wanted to have a bit of both worlds. The beds were comfy, there was A/C, the view was spectacular, having access to multiple pools in the resort and a playground was helpful with kids. Owner was also responsive when questions arose. I liked to cook and wish it had a more stocked kitchen, but the basics were there.

Rio Mar dream location

Our family visited the Rio Mar beach area and had a wonderful stay in an amazing 2 bedroom condo. The extra space in the unit helped as we had 6 adults and one infant.. The views alone from the huge balcony makes me already desiring a return trip. Incredibly comfortable beds, tons of storage areas to get luggage out of the way and a well stocked kitchen.. take the golf cart to anywhere in the Wyndham property and you will not regret. You can spend your entire time on the resort and not regret, but if you decide to venture out there are plentiful locations to visit.. love this place!

Family Holiday vacation

Everything was perfect. Beds were comfortable and place was very clean. My only wish was for more bath towels. We were three adult females and showers were important. Only one towel each for the entire week so found myself doing laundry frequently to have clean towels. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

Clean, great place!

Our stay at the Villa was wonderful! Maria was a great host and communicated very well from the start. The grounds were beautiful and the home was very clean. We had everything we needed, including beach towels and chairs. The beach club pool was wonderful and had direct access to the beach. The pool area was clean and not crowded at all. The AC for the bedrooms worked very well. The outside porch was perfect, and is where we spent our evenings. Overall, the Villa was really great for our family of 4 and we would book again!

Great location and comfortable.

Property was as described. Hosts were incredibly responsive. Unit was comfortable. Terrace was especially nice to sit on. Only challenge is the restrictions on guests (which the hosts were clear about from the start so there were no surprises). Being from PR, we have family there we would have liked to invite over but that was not possible. However, the resort itself had lots of options for meeting places or you could drive just a few miles to the kioskos of Luquillo.

Coming back home to Puerto Rico on vacation and finding a place like Maria’s is a heaven sent blessing, The convenience to all our usual spots, - Luquillo Beach, -El Yunque, -El Viejo San Juan Expressway 66 and Highway 3 make this the perfect family location for an unforgettable Puerto Rico trip. With 2 bedrooms and comfortable sleeping beds for 2 college girls this resort rental gave us everything we needed. Maria was always very committed to ensuring your stay is a memorable one, checking in you and just making she provides that family stay felling. If you have never rented at Rio Mar Beach Resort and Golf Club, your missing out !

family vacation spacious and comfortable

Maria was an amazing host- answers texts almost immediately. Went above and beyond making suggesting of local places to visit and eat. The condo was large and spacious with an outside balcony/patio with a view. Good security. The property is located on many acres of golf courses and other condo complexes. Use of the other pools was nice. We had a car so driving to the beach 2 minutes and was easy-free parking. 5 star!

Rio Mar Wyndham Resort/ Puerto Rico

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful property and home is very nice and fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. Be aware there is no air conditioning in main living space (kitchen and living room). We were there in January and with windows open it was pleasant inside. Great air conditioning in bedrooms. Be aware guests are not permitted to use hotel property pools but there are two nice pools available for your stay and one is right next to the beach. I would recommend this place for those who are wanting to go to El Yunque as it is so close and also very close to Fajardo to get to tours to islands and fun water adventures including bioluminescent bay. We had a great time.

Relaxing Experience/Beautiful location

The location and area are excellent, the condo was very comfortable and provided many of the amenities to make this an enjoyable visit and stay. There were however some limitations in terms of access to some of the community areas which we were not made aware of and this was surprising. It did affect our expectations of access to close parking to the beach and community pool areas. These areas are not accessible to guests unless escorted by the property owner. We have stayed in this community in previous years and there are new policies that should be transparent during the reservation process. Thank you.

Regarding the Beach Club parking the new policy regarding the beach club was implemented recently after the completion of the remodeling of the area at the end of August because the parking area is limited to a certain number of vehicles and priority is given to property owners. However , parking is allowed in front of the parking entrance on the grass, and it is a 2-minute walk away.

Beautiful villa in equally beautiful location

We rented this villa for a family vacation. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The until itself is beautiful and equipped with everything needed for a family. We cooked many of our meals and found the kitchen convenient and well equipped. We appreciated the ability to do laundry in the until, and the host generously supplied laundry soap. There is also the ability to rent a golf cart from the host for he week. We didn’t do this when booking because we thought we would check out the resort first and see if we needed it. Learn from us and go ahead and rent the golf cart. It makes getting around the resort infinitely easier and much more fun. All this to say I highly recommend this owner and the villa for a family vacation or just a couple getting away. It was everything we hoped it would be.

The place is spectacular to be relaxed, without the hustle and bustle of people or noise. We’re a family of 2 adults and two pre-teens. The beach is very close. If you go to the Beach Club, be aware of the schedules because the Sunday we went it was closed. The best thing about the place is the communication with the owner. When we got to the villa we found that the bathtubs were dirty with hair in the drain and toilet paper. So we contacted the owner to let her know, that part was very unpleasant. Just arrived from a day of exhausting travel and we found that we had to start cleaning the bathrooms when we arrived. The apartment also needs some repairs, for example, the air conditioning only works in the two bed rooms, but the villa looks like it has central air vents, but it does not work. And if you go in hot weather, the apartment is very hot. We let the owner know this, who informed us that these repairs will be made soon. Ceiling fans help a lot in ventilation but all windows should be open. It is very spacious and comfortable. We wanted to use the beach chair, but the two in the bags were full of sand, ripped and broken. We informed that to the owner. It has two parking lots, but one is for the golf cart, which is old and moldy, by the way, but it works. If you are going to be on the resort grounds longer than you are going to be away, it is best to rent it. There are two parking lots for visitors, but it depends if there is no one using it, but they do not allow visitors anyway. There is a swimming pool in the complex and it has a BBQ area. Please read all the rules and policies before renting so you know that visitors are not allowed. In general, the place is very comfortable for 4 people.

Communication with the guest was good and constant throughout the stay. Thank you for letting us know that one of the four beach chairs was broken and the drain in one of the bathrooms was clogged to report to the maintenance person. Unfortunately the guest did not read the Resort regulations and she believed that she could invite, let friends and family in and out and stay in the Villa, which is not allowed for security reasons. The rules must be followed and it is the owner's responsibility to do so. The people who can access the Villa are those identified in the reservation!!! Fortunately, this situation has not been experienced with other guests who have been able to appreciate the security, cleanliness and comfort of the Villa. The Beach Club is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm.
