The property was amazing! The waterfront itself was incredible. The house was clean and comfortable. We would love to return. Checking in and out was seamless! Great experience

Cottage is very clean and well equipped with all items required for a comfortable stay. Beds are comfy and bed linens were nice. Exterior needs some work. Not all windows operated correctly, Deck was in disrepair and landscaping needed work, although grass was cut. Hot tub was nice but not the same tub or in the location shown on website. Missed having things like a patio table and umbrella.

Overall a lovely stay in a spectacular area. Although I've given a 5 star review...I have contacted the management of this property re some safety concerns and general repair. Thier responsiveness was timely, and have promised to attend to the noted issues.Looking forward to revisiting!

Blue Moon Waterfront w/ Hot Tub

The cottage is in a beautiful location with access to the waterfront. A ladder from the dock into the water would be helpful for swimming. The interior of the cottage was okay but you get a general sense that this is a property that could use some investment in maintenance/repair and yard work.

2 night stay

Great building, loved the outdoor jaccuzi. Not impressed with walkway to front door and amount of snow collected and shoveling required. Communucations not the quickest but accommodating

Regarding the snow accumulation, we do our best to manage winter conditions in a timely manner, but as this is a waterfront property in a winter climate, some snowfall is inevitable. We will take your comments into consideration for further improvements. However, we feel it’s important to note that your failure to make the required payment for your accommodation created challenges and, unfortunately, may have contributed to a retaliatory tone in your review. We encourage all guests to communicate openly and fulfill their obligations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

It seemed like the cottage was not ready to be open for the season yet. The house was not very clean (mouse droppings in kitchen cabinets for example) and several maintenance items were not addressed. A drawer was missing in the kitchen, one of the burners doesn't work on the cooktop, it's impossible to put the footrests down on the reclining sofas, the screen door was broken, etc. It was very difficult to cook a meal because there were only a few smallish pots and pans. There was a new hot tub, but it was not on the deck in front, but rather in the side yard right next to the neighbor's construction. Some of the outdoor furniture was broken or missing; no outdoor table to eat outside. For almost 500 a night, this house didn't meet my expectations. I told the property manager about the issues, but requested they not fix them during our stay. I don't go on vacation to supervise repairs to someone else's house. I can't recommend this property or Grey Bruce cottages.

Beautiful Cottage

Our family had a great stay at the Blue Moon Cottage. It's an older house that has been renovated, and some of the fixtures such as the stovetop are dated. However, the property was quiet, clean and overall appeared exactly as advertised. The location on Colpoy's Bay was beautiful and our kids enjoyed swimming, fishing and kayaking from the dock (we brought our own inflatable kayak). The house is in a quiet, affluent area, and the neighbors all seemed very pleasant. Overall it was a great experience. A couple of minor gripes we had were that the front hedges needed to be trimmed back as they were encroaching on the walkway and the hot tub looked a little cloudy when we first arrived. However, when we mentioned our concern about the water, the manager literally came out within minutes to adjust the chemicals. Check in and out were a breeze, and Grey Bruce Cottages promptly returned our security deposit after we left. We would definitely recommend this property and would be happy to stay here again.

Blue Moon Cottage review

Overall stay was good, cottage is a convinient location which is close from popular places like Sauble Beach & Tobermory. Great waterfront views. cottage is well-equipped with all amenities for a comfortable stay. Hot Tub is a super plus. Negatives would be the cottage is a bit dated, the exteriors were not very clean, cobwebs near doors and sitting areas outside the house. Wild creepers and plants are not trimmed.

Pros: There was ample seating in the livingroom, and great entertainment on the TV (there was a Roku). The bedrooms were of a reasonable size, and the two bathrooms were handy, along with the laundry. The kitchen had an adequate amount of cutlery, plates, pans etc.Exceptional views.Perfect locale.Cons: While we appreciated the option of a hot tub, it was clear when we first entered that the pH levels had not been tested recently or properly. Our legs started burning when we entered, and the burning sensation only went away after hosing ourselves down. We are former hot tub owners, and we are aware of the requirements of daily ph testing . That was our biggest concern, safety-wise. We also were concerned about the wonky step near the front door. We didn't like that there was no AC, particularly since it was the summer, but mostly because not all of the windows opened, (broken cranks) especially in the front portion of the cottage. The large sliding door was not usable due to a malfuntioning screen. Several times, the temperature reached 80. which made airflow next to impossible (particularly when cooking). We also noticed that many of the pieces of cutlery had stuck on food. Lastly, the most annoying issue was the ants, which were so numerous they climbed around the kitchen and even went into the fridge at one point. The smaller ants were biting us when we were on the couch. If I am being honest, there is an ant infestation. Our AI bot responses were inadequate at best.
