It is a nice big house with a private back yard. Just a few minute walk to the beach on beautiful Hope Bay. Numerous hiking options nearby. We had a wonderful time!

It was perfect for our family and elderly mother from England So good to have her on the ground level with bedroom and bathroom It was nice and clean and tidy all round Location was lovely we visited Lions head on Saturday for a day on the beach Hope bay beach was nice but a littleSmall and got crowded pretty quick But the water was much warmer here than in Lions head we had a lovely swim yesterday afternoon me and my nephew .Sunday we took a drive to Tobermory where we have gone several times over the years . And was crazy busy everywhere . Thanks again to our host Chris

Great location, close to nice beach excellent for small children. Proximity to Bruce Trail allowed for great hiking. Open concept main floor nice for family gatherings

Wonderful Stay In Hope Bay

We had a fantastic time in Hope Bay. As soon as we arrived, it felt like home. The residence was perfect for a relaxing stay with a nearby beach to chill at. It is also centrally located on the peninsula which allowed us to travel around and see the many sights on the Bruce. 5 Stars!

Lovely summer getaway with family

A lovely spot in Hope Bay with a quick and easy walk to the water and store with ice cream! Cottage is clean and well equipped, offering front and back porch space to hang out in sun or shade.

Nice place for geat holidays

The place was quiet but closed to beaches(sauble beach 30min) and nice trail (grotto 45min). The house is well adapted for family and the host provides a lot of useful information and was really responsive. There is a small beach on the bay very closed to the house with nice sunrise.

Perfect Family Vacation

This was our second year staying at this lovely home in the most beautiful spot in Ontario - IMO. The small private beach is perfect for my under 10yr old grandchildren, and me if I'm honest. The back yard of the property is the perfect size for setting up a game of ladder ball or a game of catch or roasting marshmallows over the fire. The host is fantastic. We have decided to make this trip annually for as long as it's available❤️

Great location/relaxing atmosphere

Wonderfully appointed vacation home that can accommodate large groups. Excellent chef's kitchen that allows several to assist in its space. Spacious backyard that can accommodate cornhole boards and badminton net. Ample parking for several cars and large storage shed for any beach chairs/umbrella you bring. Rear deck is expansive allowing large groups to sit outdoors. Overall great spot that just needs a few touch-ups here and there.

Exactly what we wanted!

Great Home perfect for a family, we were 4adults and two kids. The Back yard was perfect for setting up games like ladderball and Cornhole (which we brought) and playing with the grandkids. The Beach was close enough even for the 2 year old to walk and both kids (6&2) LOVED it there. White sand beach, clear shallow water, Perfect! Quiet location but not more than 15 min drive for essentials. We would, and probably will stay here again.

Strings Across the Sky

Once again we the home suited our needs as a team of musicians. We were close to Cape Croker where we were teaching fiddle and guitar music to the students.

Comfortable and adequate for our purpose.

Spacious for 4 adults to have private time. Kitchen was excellent for 3 people cooking their own meals. Suggestions to make the stay even more comfortable - add large mirrors in master bedroom and ensuite; add mats on the cold ensuite floor: add one or two comfortable chairs in the dining/sitting room and in the upstairs living room; add hooks at the front and side door for coats; add a small table in the master bedroom for personal stuff; add a dresser in the master bedroom for clothes.

Rejuvenated for work

This the second time that we have stayed at your house while we were teaching fiddle and guitar music for Strings Across the Sky at Cape Croker. We were able to relax and to re-energize in the evenings and night for the work of the next day. We are hoping for warmer weather when we will come back in May. Thanks.

Amazing place for a great price

My family of 7 stayed here for 4 nights. The place itself is amazing, lots of space, very cozy and very comfortably slept 7 with extra blankets for those who wanted to sleep on the couch instead of share a bed with a sibling. The beach that is 2 minutes away is probably the best one around with it’s crystal clear water and the kids can play with little to no danger since the water is knee high for the first 25 yards and very slowly deepens as you walk out further. Otherwise it is located close to all the major attractions in the area. Communications with the owner were also easy, and answers were always very timely. I would come back here without hesitation, and would recommend the place to anyone.

Pretty cottage nice owner

Tucked away in the heart of Tobermory, this cottage felt like the perfect escape for our week long getaway. It’s modern, fully equipped with everything you could need—a gorgeous kitchen, air conditioning, soft towels, backyard grill. The upstairs living room was our favorite spot, where we spent cozy nights cuddled up, watching movies and just enjoying the quiet neighborhood. Honestly, this is the cleanest cottage we’ve ever stayed in. The owner really thought of everything—there were plenty of toiletries, fresh bedding, linens, and even little extras that made the place feel so welcoming. It’s rare to find that kind of attention to detail. The backyard was probably my personal favorite. It is absolutely breathtaking at night, with a sky full of stars. It made you dream of simpler times. It was well stocked with firewood for the stay by our thoughtful host. Every evening, we gathered around the campfire, making s’mores underneath the blanket of stars. It was such a peaceful way to end the day. And we can’t sing enough praise about the host. They were so gracious, even making an exception to their no-pets rule so we could bring our little dog. Great communication throughout, even reached out when we left a phone behind If you’re thinking about staying here, do it. You won’t regret it. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Wonderful Stay

Had a great time in Hope Bay. Starting with the cottage. Very good and clean with all the things you need for your stay. I didn't care much for the bed. It wasnt very comfortable and the pillows were not great. My brother and law felt the same for his bedroom. I also found on the upstairs very warm on a couple of nights. That said, there were a lot of fans and ceiling fans you can use to keep the upstairs cool. The yard needed a cut as there was a lot of rain before we arrived. I messaged Chris about it and they were prompt to respond, but their landscaper didn't show up until Thursday so good thing we didn't wait. All good, the boys and i cut it relatively quick with the available mower in the shed. We enjoyed sitting on the patio for dinner (nice shade at dinner time) and campfires at night. All in all, the upsides certainly out weighed a couple small issues for me. The area itself is amazing. Lots of options for biking, hiking and the beach was incredible. The beach was like something from the Caribbean with the soft sands that went on forever. The water was very cool, but you get used to it and the children seemed to shrug it off. It is very shallow so very safe for little ones. Sauble is a 30 minute drive if you don't mind the crowds for warmer water... The location is great also as its not too far to Tobermory for sightseeing, or Wiarton, or Lion's Head for groceries more hiking or for treating yourself to a nice restaurant.

It was my family’s first time visiting the Bruce Peninsula and we were not sure what to expect. The location of the cottage was great and just steps away from Hope Bay Beach. The property itself was very well maintained and comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone.

This is our 4th year back to this property in Hope Bay. We are a family of 6 (Grandparents, parents Kids) and we love the backyard, and the lovely little beach just a few minutes walk from the house.

Nice place

We had a great time. It was easy to go anywhere. It’s next to the Bruce trail, there’s a nice little beach down the street, 15 minutes drive to lion’s head and a 45 min drive to Tobermory. This house is very comfortable, it has everything you need!

Would go again!

Lovely cottage with lots of space. Large rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of living area and a private back yard. Excellent hiking nearby on the Bruce Trail. A short walk to the water and a short drive to Lion's Head.
