Det handler om stranden i dette lyse og luftige klassiske North Fork strandhytte, der både har en screenet veranda og et smukt baghavsdæk. Bare få skridt til en af de mest eftertragtede private bugtstrande på North Fork! Inden for få minutter til alt det nordlige gaffel har at tilbyde, herunder Love Lane og utallige vinmarker og shopping, men alligevel venter en verden af fred på en rolig, mousserende sandstrand, kun 500 meter væk. Nyd indendørs ~ udendørs ophold på sit bedste. Stue med hvælvede lofter og ovenlysvinduer har franske døre til stor afskærmet veranda. Screenet sovende veranda har massivt egetræ picnicbord med plads til 12 og et stort separat opholdsområde med stole og en udtræksdronning futon i tilfælde af at du gerne vil sove udendørs. Master soveværelse med glas skydedøre til cederdæk har kingsize-seng og master bad. Andet soveværelse har queensize-seng plus ekstra sovehems med dronningmadras (ældre børn elsker loftet). Bygekøkken har køleskab i fuld størrelse, kaffemaskine, mikroovn, opvaskemaskine og gaskomfur. Hovedhuset har wifi, LG alt i en vaskemaskine / tørretumbler, kabel-tv, vindue AC og er inden for få minutter fra alle lokale vingårde, shopping og Love Lane. Baghaven har solrig udendørs bruser, du ønsker at leve i komplet med sollys til aftenbrusere under stjernerne! Dæk har grill, spisebord, adirondack stole og dobbelt chaiselong. Som alle strandhuse er der nogle ekstra sovepladser, som f.eks. Udtræks-futons i stuen og verandaen, en dobbeltmadras under hver af senge i soveværelserne. I bil: Inden for et minut har du adgang til Starbucks, CVS, Waldbaums, en biograf og enhver anden bekvemmelighed, du måtte have brug for. Inden for 3 minutter har du inden for rækkevidde en af de mest charmerende baner på hele North Fork, Love Lane, og dens mest charmerende shoppes, herunder candy shoppe, osteshoppe & Lombardis specialbutik til mad og udbyder af fint kød. The property was definitely pet-friendly with a beautifully sized backyard. The entire space was very clean. The host is awesome and we were in constant communication during my stay. It is truly a comfy and cozy cottage.

This place was amazing. I had a medical procedure done in Glen Cove and needed to remain in the area for follow up. The beds and furniture were super comfortable, the kitchen had all the things we needed, it was just delightfully pretty and soothing, lovely quiet neighborhood, the morning walks to the beach with coffee was such a nice treat and Joy was super responsive. The area, the vineyards, markets, and community is 10/10 stunning, would absolutely love to stay here again someday!

This was our second year staying at the house and it was another wonderful week. The house is clean, has everything you need, and is convenient to everything. The beach is close and the water is calm for young children. The host is great; she is friendly and provides all information up front and is available if needed.

The house is lovely, well-equipped, and clean. LOVE the large front porch and the beach at the end of the road and the outdoor shower!! This is our second stay, and we hope to return. The only things to note are that the kitchen is quite small - it’s not a house for elaborate cooking (use the grill!!) and the second bedroom a bit tight. Great find in the North Fork.

Great vacation

My family stayed at this house for a week in July 2025. The house is very comfortable and very clean. The location is perfect- so close to the beach and Veterans Park is around the corner. So many restaurants and shopping nearby. We spent so many hours on the large screened porch. It sure makes it easy to enjoy the summer with no bugs. The owner, Joy, is so accommodating and helpful. We are looking forward to another vacation here. The Barters

Every detail has been well thought out for a stay “Out East” from beach chairs umbrella cooler kayaks vests bikes fire pit charcoal and propane grill hammock outdoor eating area lounge chairs outdoor shower etc. cottage is super clean . Screened porch is fantastic! Beach is very nice. I will stay again . Host is very communicative. Highly recommend.

We loved this place! The interior is completely redone. It is comfortable, spacious, and fun. The porch is so nice for sitting and relaxing. The big table is great. The kitchen is small but so well sticked and very functional. The backyard is nice and ourpups loved it. The "she-shed" is lovely and can be used for guests--although we didn't. There are bikes and beach equipment of all sorts. The beach is right there and so very nice. I had a lovely swim and the water was a nice temp with no shells or seaweed being the Bay. This is a great place for relaxing. Joy is also a great host--right there and so nice and helpful. We would love to come bakc and so would our two pups!

We were extremely disappointed in the home that we in fact, didn't stay for more than an hour. We wound up having to find another place to stay because the home was old and run down. It was not as described other than it being close to the bay beach. The showers were basically inserts and the property smelled damp, musty and moldy. There was leftover, half-eaten food in the refrigerator and the 2nd bedroom is barely a bedroom. The ktichen is ridiculously tight, the back yard deck is splintered and old and the she-shed smells like moldy socks. If you have allergies or are sensitive to smells, this is not the place to stay.

Everything promised and more

This property was better outfitted than my own home. Every possible need and want was anticipated and accommodated by the host, Joy. Life jackets, hot water kettle, coffee maker, abundant towels, games, beach wagon, beach umbrellas, a roomba, books, grill filled with fuel, bikes…everything a family could want to hang out at the house as well as the nearby beach. Super clean with great air conditioning.It was a wonderful stay!

Perfect beach cottage

Quaint and quiet beach cottage that was perfect for our few days of some R&R. The cottage has everything you need for a perfect vacation, lots of amenities and spotless! We thoroughly enjoyed getting up in the morning and walking to the beach which rarely had anyone else there.The front porch was a great place to just hang out. The cottage is ideally located to restaurants, groceries and of course, lots of wineries.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

The house is very sweet, nicely decorated, and very clean. It is located on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood, just a short walk to the beach. Although this did not affect our stay at all, sadly the cottage next door appears to be abandoned.As is clear in the photos, one bedroom is quite small. We didn't mind the cozy quarters as we were only in Mattituck for a couple of nights. The large front screen porch and back yard are wonderful spaces. We loved the location--close to the ferry and Love Lane. We enjoyed exploring the North Fork area.The homeowner was very helpful, responsive, and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house and location !

Great little property

So cute and well stocked with expendables and outdoor recreational toys. Can only imagine how great that would be in the warmer months! That and the HUGE screened front porch would be amazing for summer visit! We used to live in the area and traveled to visit family for Christmas. Fenced yard was perfect for our pups.

Wonderful North Fork Beach Cottage

My wife and I and our adult daughter, along with her pet dog, shared this rental for a week's vacation in early fall. This cottage is in a quiet neighborhood in Mattituck, which is a great base for exploring all the North Fork has to offer. It's a short walk to a private, sandy neighborhood beach on Peconic Bay. A 2-person kayak and a stand-up paddleboard are kept at the beach and available for use with this rental. Bikes, beach chairs and beach towels are also provided. There are wineries galore offering tastings all along the North Fork, and many farm stands offering locally grown produce. The cottage is close to grocery stores and restaurants, and The Magic Fountain, a shop featuring homemade ice cream flavors, is just at the top of the road. The cottage has two bedrooms and a large living-dining area, along with two updated bathrooms with smallish showers and a larger outdoor shower on the back deck. The kitchen is galley-style, long and narrow but well-stocked with all the necessary modern appliances. There is a huge screened-in porch with a large wooden table with bench seating, and couches and chairs as well. The deck out back is spacious with a table for outdoor dining and a gas grill. There are a pair of lounge chairs on the deck and a large hammock and fire pit in the back yard behind the deck. We enjoyed our stay here and appreciated all the amenities it had to offer. Very comfortable, nicely decorated and highly recommended!

Great End of Summer stay!!

Loved the home and location along with all the convenient amenities. Great to enjoy my childhood hometown area and the gorgeouse beaches with local friends. So relaxing and enjoyable!! Joy was a great host.

Perfect Beach Cottage

My family and I had a great stay at this beach cottage. It was clean and comfortable. It was nice that everything was provided (sheets, towels, beach gear) as my car was already packed to the brim with stuff for my 2 kids. The private beach was so close and perfect- especially for my 2 year old who is normally afraid of ocean water. Check-in was a breeze and Joy is so responsive- even before my stay started. My family and I hope to visit again soon.

Awesome spot and great host!

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Walking distance to beach and easy walk up for local food and groceries. Host was easy to communicate with and very responsive!

My dad bought this property in 1968 after a summer rental nearby. Being a school teacher in Southern Westchester with 5 children, he needed a place to bring his brood in the summer. Luckily a friend told him about the beaches and farms (potato farms back then) on the North Fork. I've been spending my summers here ever since. A few years after he passed, my husband and I bought the house so we could keep it in the family and I'm so glad we did! The best times of course are when my siblings, and now our children, can be reunited here in the summer, but I am almost as happy when I know another family is having just as wonderful a time experiencing this magical area and all that it has to offer.

Mattituck is right next door to Cutchogue, the sunniest sector in New York State. I cannot tell you how many times over the years, we have had sunny days at the beach while it was overcast elsewhere on the Fork. It is truly perfectly positioned, nearby to all, yet a world away. The beach is particularly splendid for children! The Bay is not rocky or cold like the Sound beaches, it is shallow and mild, and the sand is soft.

The main benefit of the house is the private association beach. It is just so close and so glorious. We have spent so much time through the years fishing, clamming, swimming, and simply relaxing on its sand. Our beach is also private and we get to enjoy it as such. Usually we bring the firepit down to the beach after dinner for s'mores and vino under the stars. On hot nights we'll even swim again. It is truly an idyllic summer ritual! Another benefit is the tremendous screened porch. It is ideal for napping and meals. And the beautiful outdoor shower, no matter what time of day or night, you will always prefer it to an indoor shower! We spend most of the time on the porch or on the deck when we are home, but mostly we are at the beach. There is also an enormous playground right around the corner at Veteran's Beach, and there is a tennis court two blocks over. The Mattituck yacht club is also right around the corner if you're inspired to sail a bit during your stay. In addition, one cannot overstate the benefit of having a truly exceptional ice cream parlor at the top of one's block!
