Welcome to the Waikiki Banyan! The panoramic Diamond Head & OCEAN views from this 34th floor unit will leave you breathless. The spacious one (1) bedroom floor plan provides ample space for the family to spread out. There is one (1) king size bed and one (1) sleeper sofa that turns into a second sleeping option to accommodate four (4) guests. The unit also comes with a full kitchen for travelers on a budget looking to save money and cook their own meals. Other unit amenities include free secure parking, WIFI, and coin operated laundry is available on the 34th floor (same as the unit) for your convenience.

Guests have access to a variety of building amenities such as a shared heated pool, two (2) hot tubs, tennis court, basketball court, BBQ area, children's playground and twenty-four (24) hour security. The building also has the Banyan Breeze Coffee Shop and a Mini Mart

The Waikiki Banyan is in a central location of Waikiki. The building is positioned just off Kuhio Avenue which is the quieter side of Waikiki but just a block away from all the excitement of Kalakaua. We enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Banyan. The room was clean and the kitchen, bathroom, and beach amenities were provided. All the appliances worked well, including the air conditioning. We appreciated the free parking and lack of resort fees. We were able to walk to the beach and had easy access to restaurants in Waikiki and on Kapahulu. We look forward to staying here again.

We've been coming to the Waikiki Banyan for years. Its a great spot, with fabulous views! Free parking, walkability and consistency are all icing on the cake.

My overall stay was good. The main complaint is that I didn't receive the email with code to enter the room. Also, I forgot to let the owner know that the door was hard to open due to the screw loose of the area where the door closes by the door knob.The room was clean and it was walking distance from the beach, zoo, and ABC stores.

Didn’t have hand soap or extra roll of paper towel/toilet paper. It was a nice stay close to the beach. Very useful beach accessories that came in handy. The laundry room only was open until 10pm and cost 4 a load for washer or dryer payable by an app or quarters. Parking was tight, but was free. Most parking I saw was very expensive. Overall we had a good experience besides toiletries and laundry, but that was our fault with our schedule.

Great Place to Stay

This ended up being the perfect place to stay for our week in Hawaii! Great location and view, free secured parking, and the building itself was pretty quiet. You do hear the street noise surprisingly well for the 34th floor, but Waikiki is loud outside. I wouldn't say it impacted our sleep much.We didn't get the check-in email automatically, so I would recommend reaching out on that earlier than I did. Everything was resolved by the time we landed, but it added some anxiety to our flight. A big plus is there were no resort fees or anything added on like some listings I looked at. We would definitely stay again!

Great location but disappointed when we arrived with a clogged kitchen sink, dirty fridge door, and cupboard, gunky shower curtain liner and the garage gate key did not work. We tried the key from 1st floor all the way to 4th floor and it did not work. Luckily 4th floor wasn’t lock and we were able to get in. Front desk did not let us borrow their luggage trolley. We have to borrow shopping cart at the security office in exchange of ID.

The stay was just shy of 5 stars. I'd do 4.5 if it let me. The view was AMAZING. Seeing the sun rising over diamond head was breathtaking. The place was clean (and did NOT have strong smelling cleaning supplies or air fresheners, a BIG plus for me!!), and the property manager was very nice and helpful when we needed to get in touch. Also INCLUDED PARKING. I cannot overstate how helpful and stress-free this was. 4.5 out of five because the unit is a little more rough than the listing might lead you to believe. It was CLEAN, it was just older, and showed signs of that. A couple of the wall outlets where loose and falling out (still usable), the fridge exterior was stained and flaking (interior was spotless), and the shower showed more wear and tear then we expected. It was also a little further from the beach than the listing says. About a 10 min walk, rather than 5 minutes, and about 3-4 blocks from the beach, not 1. Still a great location, still a lovely stay, and still clean and great service. The listing just paints it to be a little nicer than it is, which isn't needed - its great in its true form, and having parking included is a HUGE boon. Would 100% book again.

We stayed here for 11 nights and over all the place met our needs. Free parking is the main reason we choose the Banyan. Location is great. Right down the road from the zoo, plenty of restaurants nearby. Beach is 2 blocks away. As far as this place there were only 2 beach towels when the room was booked for 4 people. Not that, that was a big deal we always bring our own beach towels anyways. I just thought that was odd. We didn’t use the kitchen much aside from the fridge and microwave. So I can’t speak on the stove or oven. Air conditioner and fan worked great. Beach amenities were great. Chairs and sand toys was all we used but there was boogie boards, life jackets, umbrellas, snorkel gear and even a wagon. Pool deck was nice. Bed was comfortable. Couch pulled out into a bed and that was comfortable as well. I guess 2 small kids could fit on the couch but definitely not 2 adults. My older son slept there and younger son in the king size bed with us. Over all cleanliness was my biggest concern. Fridge had something all over the outside of it. Not sure if it could be cleaned off or if it’s stuck on to the point of damage. The ceiling paint over the a/c was flaking and fell a little during our stay. Bathroom mirror had smudges all over and bathtub had hairs in it. I never contacted host as I just cleaned it myself. Because of that I was in my head about the cleanliness of everything else. BUT we never found any dirty sheets or dishes so that was good.

The Waikiki Banyan is the best spot if you want to stay near the beach but have your own kitchen for cooking. The free parking is one of the other amazing perks of this building.The unit itself was comfortable and had a lot of helpful provisions such as beach gear, cooking needs (oil, salt, etc) and sufficient dish/cookware.The management company host is incredibly responsive and did his best to promptly address some concerns upon check-in, namely that the quilt on the bed, which also serves as the blanket, had not been washed and smelled like sweat, as did the pillow shams. There was hair stuck to this part of the bedding as well, although the sheets themselves were clean. There also were not enough beach towels provided for our number of guests. The management host had the cleaning service return to the apartment and provide us with more Beach towels, as well as taking the bedding to be washed and dried that night and returned to us.The unit itself smelled strongly of bleach, because I think whoever is hired to do the cleaning uses straight bleach products. Ironically, though, when we had to wipe up some sand off the floor that first night, the paper towel was quite black so I don't think they are doing a thorough cleaning job, just using a lot of bleach so that it smells clean. I think that if the company hired a better cleaning service, and did a few small touch-ups or repairs around the unit it would be five stars for sure.

Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die Lage der Wohnung, die Größe und Ausstattung. Ideal um Honolulu und den Rest von Oahu zu erkunden. Parkplatz war auch ein riesen Vorteil. Etwas besser hätte die Sauberkeit sein können.

Super Lage. Es war alles da was man braucht! Wir hatten am Anfang Probleme mit der Toilette, das war etwas nervig! Es ist bei offenem Fenster schon recht laut, aber es war insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt!
