Gorgeous view & super friendly hosts. The Treehouse had everything we needed, we felt very welcomed, and would stay again! We were even treated to some local fruit & saw some whale activity! Highly recommend.

Amazing property! Exceeded all expectations. Only suggestion would be to have more comfortable seating spots in the living area. Otherwise, we couldn't believe how lucky we were to be staying in such an exquisite place!

Host is very responsive and accommodating. The grounds are meticulous - idyllic setting. We had everything we needed! Bed and pillows were comfortable. Deck and ocean view were lovely. Parking is easy. Felt secure. Safe area that we felt comfortable walking about. WiFi good enough for business work.

Breath-taking vacation home experience

We love everything about this lovely and welcoming property - Tree House on the Cliffs. We enjoyed every second staying here. Our family vacation wrapped up with perfect morning Sunrise and yesterday sunset. Front and back garden are just Gorgeous!! Best vacation home yet!

Beautiful Views in a peaceful location

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The views from the deck were amazing, especially for sunrise. It was clean, well appointed and in a very quiet setting. We only got to spend one night here, but wouldnt hesitate to book here again. The property manager was very responsive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home while visiting our son who lives on the island, and it was especially meaningful that he could stay with us during our time there. The home is very comfortable, welcoming, and provided everything we needed to relax and enjoy our visit.The view is truly incredible — the kind that draws you in each morning and makes it difficult to leave. It created a peaceful backdrop for our entire stay.We left feeling grateful for our time here and would happily return. If you value comfort, tranquility, and a spectacular view, this home is a wonderful choice.

Great guesthouse

We had the best time at this perfect guesthouse. Right on the ocean (it rained a lot!) and had everything we needed. The only thing I would change would be staying for longer! Quick responses and very friendly managers! I also loved the book of info! Thank you!

The perfect Hawaiian oasis near Hilo

Loved our 5 day stay at the Oceanfront “Treehouse” at Hakalau cliffs, an excellent Hawaiian retreat with the sound of the surf and wind in the palm trees. A great location directly overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I got up early every morning to watch the sun rise and was rewarded to watch several baby whales swimming in front of the property. The house was clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. They quickly responded to our needs.

Wow! What a View! What a House!

When we drove through the gates of this estate, we were gobsmacked; the grounds were plush and immaculate. When we opened the door to the house we were greeted by that MOST STUNNING eastern view of the Pacific Ocean. The house was perfectly supplied and we enjoyed the treats the owners left for us. They thoughtfully had a bound book available introducing themselves and our host, along with suggestions of restaurants and activities to do around the area and near Hilo.We enjoyed the many colorful birds, watched the wild boar family with a baby in the fenced adjacent property, and mused at the bright green chameleons playing peekaboo on the deck. Our stay was the perfect Hawaiian experience. We are tremendously thankful - you helped make our anniversary trip a very memorable one! Mahalo!

We had a lovely two-night stay at the Treehouse. The view of the ocean from the lanai is extraordinary. At night we fell asleep to the soothing sounds of the rainforest and the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked, which let us cook our own breakfasts and comfortably enjoy takeout for dinners. A restful, beautiful place we'd happily recommend!A couple of helpful reminders. The property is a good 25 minute drive from Hilo on a winding, one-lane highway that can be stressful to drive in the dark and in the rain. The property is not air-conditioned but does benefit from ocean breeze, depending on the time of day, and has ceiling fans plus a standing fan you can move around.

What a beautiful home and property with the most picturesque gardens and view! The home was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The hosts are friendly with excellent communication. Since it is about a 20 minute drive to Hilo for food, we took advantage of the kitchen and made some simple meals made at home. Loved having a washer/dryer in the unit. If you are looking to get away from crowds and truly enjoy the beauty that Hawaii has to offer, this is the perfect place.
