Absolutely gorgeous property. Super clean and well kept. The host was extremely helpful through the entire stay. Can't recommend it enough. One small note if you are planning to stay here (unrelated to the property), make sure that you rent a Polaris, not a golf cart. It's up quite a steep/bumpy hill. Super easy with a Polaris. Thank you so much for having us!

This villa was amazing with views of the ocean from every room, and with the ability to watch whales in the ocean every day, sometimes multiple times a day. Bedding was clean along with the rest of the place. It felt very comfortable to stay there and it got cleaned every other day, which was great. The host communicated well and fixed the problems we brought to him.

Our group of two families with older teens had an amazing stay. This was our 5th time visiting Sayulita, and everyone agreed this was our favorite rental yet! The property is absolutely breathtaking. You truly never get tired of the view.Highlights included the incredible pool and being able to hear and see the ocean right from bed. We also loved the ocean breeze that flows through the house; it kept the property a few degrees cooler and more comfortable than being down in town. It was the perfect home base for our vacation! Communication with the host was easy and responses were always quick. Did I mention the pool and the view? WowNote: The location is not easily walkable from town, so we highly recommend renting a golf cart to get around

Sunsets!

Large open area overlooking the ocean, comfortable beds, a pool, and a fun town. Couldn’t ask for anything better. Had a lovely time with my family celebrating the holidays in Sayulita. Easy to communicate with the host and the house keeper. Would stay again!

Incredible stay with incredible view!

This is an incredible property. The view is absolutely gorgeous and its very comfortable. With a golf cart it’s easy to get up and down the mountain. The owner is super responsive and kind. We would stay here again in a second!

Breath-taking is an understatement

I was shocked by how shocked I was by the view. Walking in the front door was my favorite part of the trip! The house was so beautiful. I absolutely love the open air Vibrio!

Honestly a dream!

Absolutely stunning stay! From the moment you walk into the villa, you’re greeted with breathtaking open, airy ocean views that set the tone for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. The decor is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and everything was spotless and well-maintained. The beds were incredibly comfortable- everyone in our group slept great!Our host Cory went above and beyond, helping us arrange golf carts and transportation, and sharing amazing recommendations for local food and activities. The villa is in a quiet, peaceful area that still is a close golf cart ride to town, giving us the best of both worlds. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, highly recommend!

Set your expectations appropriately

The view/location is absolutely incredible. We had the housekeeper (Cecelia) cook two dinners for us and the meals were wonderful and reasonably priced. The location is challenging as it is at the top of a very steep cobble stone road (2/3 mile of up to 12 - 15% grade). The property needs maintenance work as nearly 1/2 of the lighting did not work, the external shower had 0 water pressure, and the dishwasher did not work. There was no one present/available to give us any info when we arrived and there was no written information available. This was the first time we stayed at a Vrbo so we did not know what to expect. The property owner was available via email, but an initial overview would have been helpful. We made do and enjoyed our stay, but as the title suggests, be prepared and aware when staying here.

I’ve always wanted to stay here and was very happy we did. This view was absolutely stunning. Terrace living at its finest. The house layout was amazing although the lower bedroom had only curtains for walls and bug mesh around the bed but by no means a deal breaker. Great living space with pool and a phenomenal view. It is a short walk to the beach especially if you take the short cut down the steps next to the house across the street. It is very steep however but fun and kept us in shape during our excursions to the beach and town to dine. Probably 120-150m elevation change over about 0.7km so be prepared. Flip flops were fine but maybe not for everyone. The cleaning lady and driver were awesome and I believe Rodrigo was trying to accommodate but a few things were not to our liking. Internet was not functioning and I couldn’t care less except I have teenagers who rely on it. It was a day or two. Also the pool pump had failed and the water was not fit to swim for two or three days. So the pool pump and internet we not functioning upon our arrival. Paying peak price for this, they really should be. Water supply would intermittently cut out in late afternoon and evening. After it was looked at it was surmised that the pump needed to recharge apparently. A small inconvenience that we worked around. I stayed in many places along the coast nearby and never encountered sewer gas so strong. Needs fixing! Not right. Great place just needing things to work before we get there.

Gorgeous house but poor management

La Paz is a gorgeous property! The views are amazing. The beds and linens were very comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen much, but it seemed well appointed with appliances. By in large, everything was fairly clean. The major disadvantage of this property was the property management. I communicated with Cory that we would check in at noon. When we arrived at the house no one was there. We waited about 45 minutes for the housekeeper to arrive to check us into the house. I then speak to the owner on the phone who apologizes and explains that the house isn’t clean and that she needs three hours to prepare the house. We decide to go down to the beach on the golf cart. (The house sits atop a very steep hill and a walk to the beach would require at least 30 minutes.) Surprise, there is no golf cart at the house! Cory claims via my email request that we have to wait until 3pm for the cart to be delivered. We wait around until 3:30 and the cart never appears. While we are out later that night two carts are delivered to our garage without any keys. So the next morning we are still left with no transportation. I also was disappointed that the ad indicated there was a washing machine at the property. The housekeeper would not allow me to use the washer for two loads of laundry. She said I need to get permission from the owner. Cory was no longer responding to me at this point. Problems always occur. As a property manager, it is how you handle the problems that counts. We felt his ad wasn’t a true representation of the amenities.

I am so sorry that you had less than 5 star experience. A Casa Paz Welcome Letter, which was sent to you on Feb 26, 2018. At the top of the page, and in our rental agreement, it clearly states our check in time is 4 pm and our check-out is 12 noon. As a courtesy, I allowed for the early check-in. Unfortunately, as I explained to you on the phone, there was an error on our part with regard to scheduling. As I understand, the house ultimately was ready for you around 4pm. The letter clearly explains the golf cart policy and states very clearly that your golf cart will be delivered about 1 hour after check-in. According to the golf cart representative, you were not willing to return to the house on the day of check-in from the beach in order to sign your paperwork and recieve the keys to the golf cart. I agree that the events that occurred on the day of your check-in were nothing short of chaotic, but in the end I feel we delivered the house and the golf carts at an acceptable hour. Yes, we do have laundry facilities, and we keep those locked up because of too much abuse by previous renters and a lot of wasted water, which is also addressed in the Welcome Lettter. You do have the option of hiring our housekeeper to do your laundry for you at a very affordable price. Mistakes do happen, and that is exactly what happened on the day of your arrival. For that we apologize. At the end of the day, all we can do is put our best foot forward, and I truly feel everybody on our team tried to remedy your bad experience in the best way we could.

Impressed with Casa Paz, spectacular views, wonderful hosts, Rodrigo and Cecilia Thank you. My family and friends will remember this trip for ever. Even the special nature surprises like the unique bugs, thunderstorms, rain and all its wonder is exactly what I was looking for. If you a not a nature lover this house might be too open for you. Maybe add 1 more AC in the 2nd floor to accommodate the extreme heat in Summer months. I loved it !

Spectacular views!

The pictures of the property do not do this property justice. The views of the ocean from the main living space were spectacular! The drive up the hill is no joke; highly recommend a golf cart. However, I walked into town every morning, and walked back up the hill...it's totally doable if you walk/hike regularly. The openness of the property is really amazing...so many birds singing at different times of the day! It is the most beautiful property I've rented through VRBO.

Incredible location in paradise!

What and incredible property to spend a holiday in, we loved the indoor outdoor area! The view is unbelievable, the house is quiet, immaculate, and has everything you need for a quiet afternoon or an wild fiesta! We held a big birthday party with a live band and there was room for everyone to enjoy the space. The pool is refreshing and clean and the location is amazing, only 10-15 minutes to town if you take a golf cart. Highly recommended to get a golf cart as the hills are VERY steep! Cory is a fantastic host who always replys quickly to our every need and Cecelia the housekeeper is very nice and efficient too. Casa Paz is a 10 out of 10 - we will definitely be back! Sayulita is a perfect town

Amazing views!

Casa Paz was wonderful! It was great to go into town during the day and come back to the serenity of the house in the evening. The sunsets were beautiful! The house is at the top of a very steep and winding hill so renting a golf cart was the way to go. The property manager, Cory, was wonderful to work with and answered any questions promptly. He even set up our transportation and golf cart rental. He recommended a great restaurant which turned out to be our favorite place to eat! The house was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at Casa Paz again!

Casa Paz was absolutely magical!! The view is the best in all of Sayulita!

Everything about this place is amazing! It has plenty of space. We watched the whales while enjoying the pool. It’s not far from town and taxis are cheap to get back up. Cory is also very helpful!!

A very cool location with the nicest owner!

We really enjoyed staying at Cory´s property. I rarely had such a view in my life as the house is up the hill with direct view to the Pacific ocean. There are four bedrooms. One is an open room spectacular! The house has a small infinity pool and open dining room. there is lots of space. Just be aware you are up in the mountains so you have to drive up and down so make sure you have a (golf) car available. The owner Cory is very fast with replies if you need help. He was very kind in terms of check -in and out to us as we came in with an early flight but flight back was afternoon He also helped with every question we had! Thanks Cory you have a new friend in Germany! If I ever be in the region again I will surely stay at this place! It is amazing!
