Ombygget top til bund i foråret 2014! Dette ekstra store Sea Gypsy Condo er en jordnær, havet junior suite med soveværelse og to fulde bade. Ved 825 kvadratfod, Betta Cove er den største enhed i stueetagen og byder på masser af plads til dig og din familie til at nyde havudsigten. Fuld størrelse pejs, trådløst internet, kabel-tv og dvd-afspillere i begge værelser; fuldt udstyret køkken med opvaskemaskine, spisebord og stole, og morgenmad bar med plads til 3. Du er bare ti skridt fra sandet eller den indendørs saltvandspool og sauna.

Vores Condo er lejet som en suite, som omfatter en separat soveværelse og to fulde bade. Smukt møbleret med pejs, fuldt udstyret køkken og alle de faciliteter. Lad dette være dit hjem væk fra hjemmet for en tid med afslapning og genforene os med familie og venner.

Havet er lige udenfor og giver en perfekt back drop for samtale, spil og gåture. Træd ud og nyde græsplæne umiddelbart uden din skydedør, eller kun få skridt til stranden. Lige på D-floden og en kort gåtur op på stranden til tidevandet puljer.

A Delightful Getaway

Very comfortable and well stocked. Comfortable beds. Loved being right on the ocean. Very clean. We enjoyed our stay and hope to stay here again.

Wonderful Experience!

Betta’s Cove was the perfect place for our get-away at the beach. Accommodations were super, with a fantastic view of the ocean! The weather wasn’t all that great, but we were happy to stay indoors in this homey atmosphere. Thank you for providing such a great place for R&R!!

The property was well maintained and had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. Views from the family room were awesome. We really enjoyed the 2 chaise loungers and the pillows/blankets. Very comfortable and suitable for all ages.

Amazing Place to Relax and Unwind

We decided to come to Lincoln City for the weekend to decompress and we definitely found the right place to do it. From the moment we walked into this beautiful condo I knew it was just your run of the mill room. Comfortable, Cozy and inviting, the view and access to the ocean blew us away... everything was perfect!! We will be back (hopefully soon)

Cozy and Comfortable

Thanks again Matt for changing our weekend to avoid the bad weather a couple of weekends ago. This was our second time staying at your cozy condo and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Perfect!

Our stay was too short, but very enjoyable. Our room was just perfect for myself, my mother and brother. My mom is not able too get around very well and it was so nice to have a separate bedroom and bath for her to use. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. The recliners were nice so that mom could put her feet up and look out at the ocean. Being able to just step right out the sliding glass door and take a couple steps to the beach was fantastic!! We will definitely stay there again. It was so spacious and had everything we needed. Thank you Matt!

Very Comfortable Condo

This condo was a nice "home away from home" for a short get-away and Christmas shopping venture with my 88 year old mom. If you are looking for lavish, this probably is not your place. We got exactly what we were looking for in a great ocean view, a nice swimming pool, comfortable personal space and a small but functional kitchen. The only draw back for me was I couldn't figure out how to make the shower work in either bathroom (and both mom and I are college educated :-). Overall, this condo was very relaxing for us and came at a really affordable price.

Great Stay

We had a great weekend at Betta's Cove. The condo is right on the beach and if the weather would have been nice it would have been perfect for the kids to play on the beach. The indoor pool and sauna was within 15 feet of the condo and was nice to keeps the kids entertained due to the bad weather. A few upgrades to the reclining chairs and the back bed would make this a must stay for sure. With the weather being as bad as it was, we spent a lot of time indoors. The reclining chairs are not really suited for taller people and were somewhat uncomfortable. Overall it was a great place for the price and we would stay again.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! You will be happy to know that we have upgraded our furniture and beds to include 2 large leather recliners, a leather sofa and 2 pillow top mattresses. We hope you will book now for summer vacation. Looks like it will be a beautiful summer at the beach this year.

Sea Gypsy condo great place to stay

The condo was exactly as described. Roomy, comfortable and 10 steps from the beach. We have never stayed in a place with such easy access to the beach. The condo was, as advertised fully stocked with all the necessary equipment, kitchenware, linens, dishes, appliances etc. We were pleasantly surprised to find it also stocked with spices and other food items that did not require refrigeration, great stuff. The pool and sauna were a wonderful bonus and easy to access. The beds were very comfortable as well. This was our first time here but I'm sure it won't be the last. The owner was exceptionally helpful and answered all our questions prior to arriving very quickly, he made us feel very welcome.

Perfect! We will be back

Betta's Cove was the perfect condo for what we (two friends) had in mind. I hadn't realized it, but I had stayed in this unit in the past. I liked the condo then, but it is much fresher and more comfortable now. My friend has a medical condition where comfort is a priority. The seating for ocean viewing, movie watching and visiting was great and she said she slept better then usual on the bed in the bedroom. Although it is a "one person at a time" kitchen, we ate the majority of our meals in the condo and it definitely had everything we needed. The swimming pool was also a priority for us, we swam daily, and were fortunate to have the pool all to ourselves each time. It is one of the largest resort pool's we have found and enjoyed our time spent there. We both agreed that Betta's Cove is our favorite condo find so far. We will be back!

More than expected!

This cozy retreat was more that we expected, pictures just can't capture how great this place is. We stay on the Oregon Coast every year but this was a first time at the Sea Gyspy. We loved it! The little touches at Betta's Cove make you feel like you are staying at someone's home instead of a regular condo rental. The movie selection was awesome, the books, and thanks for saving my bacon with your assortment of spices in the kitchen(i forgot to bring any)...hubby is still raving over my hash browns! We loved the ever changing view of the ocean, the sea life, and enjoined the convenience of being centrally located to everything. The first night we arrived the sun was setting and as soon as we walked in and opened the curtains overlooking the ocean the room filled with the most beautiful light. We were chilly from beach combing all day and the shower in the back bedroom was so welcoming...great water pressure and plenty of hot water. It was a perfect evening! We stayed 5 days with no complaints and really who could complain in such a lovely cozy setting. Thank you for offering such a great place at an incredibly great price...we'll be back for sure!

Worst vacation ever!

Asked property owner many months in advance if he had replaced both beds in the unit and he guaranteed he had. . . But he did not. They are the same mattresses from last year, too soft to sleep on. Upon arrival, we opened the door and had black mold growing on the wall. It was late Sunday night and we had no other place to go. Next morning we called owner and he acknowledged he knew about the situation, he was just trying to get thru the summer schedule and then they would take care of it. Well, black mold is toxic. . . There is no well to it. We left after a couple of days for home. However, black mold just floats in the air and lands on everything waiting for a little moisture and then it starts growing. I truly hope we have not contaminated everything we took with us to the beach. I also hope none of us get deathly I'll from breathing it into our lungs. Bad call on the owners part. He tells me the unit is currently being fixed. Hard to trust since he has lost his reputation with us. This unit was alot of fun last year. Let's hope the black mold is being taken care of.

Dear Jacki, I was saddened to read such a poor review about our vacation condo at the beach. We love hearing stories of fun, comfortable stays and you’ll notice that we have a near 5-star rating from previous guests. So I am so disappointed and sorry to hear that your experience garnered the “worst vacation ever” status. I am particularly sad that you found my customer service so unsatisfactory. I had hoped that my near-constant, multiple-times-per-day attention to your various concerns throughout your stay would warrant a kinder response on the review, especially considering that we gave you a full refund for your *entire* stay after you stayed there for five days. Not to mention my offer on the night of your arrival to refund and immediately find you an alternate place to stay in Lincoln City, which you refused. I try very hard to resolve any issues that come up for our guests, and I’m sorry that we weren’t able to resolve your issues to your satisfaction. The mold situation, caused by an isolated water leak from an upstairs unit, was certainly unfortunate but not a health hazard. Unfortunately we can’t solve all problems overnight, and we had taken appropriate steps in the interim period before we could completely repair the wall. Regarding the bed: After your stay last year, we inspected the bed in the back bedroom and discovered that the box spring was, in fact, broken. We immediately replaced it with a brand new box spring and had numerous guests and family members sleep on the bed and commented that it was much improved and we considered the issue resolved. So when you asked if we had fixed the bed, I told you that we had, which is true. But, we’re all for making things even better at our condo, so we decided to purchase a brand new mattress and box spring and frame a few weeks ago. We want to be sure that everyone sleeps great during their stay, and we think this new bed is going to make our condo even more comfortable for future guests. Again, I apologize that your experience was not great. I hope you’ll consider amending your rating with VRBO, but if not, I hope that this response at least helps others to understand the situation a bit more. Betta Cove for a week in Lincoln City, Oregon

This unit only sleeps 4 people in two queen beds. If someone wishes to sleep on the couch or in a recliner chair, then I guess it could sleep 6 but two people would not be very comfortable. The back bedroom needs a new bed badly. Both people sleeping on that bed will roll to the center and squish to the box spring. The other bed isn't much better. Beyond the beds, the unit appears to be new and has that new rug and paint smell. Everything is well organized except there is no place to put the food you bring except in the refrigerator. We also had issues with the supplies that were posted that said they would be there such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dishwasher soap - all the essentials needed several times during the day. The cleaning people finally delivered these items on Wednesday evening which gave us two days to actually enjoy the unit without wondering where we were going to get it since this unit does not use the same cleaning people as the rest of the condo's. On the evening of the last night, we discovered there was another cupboard under the counter containing the popcorn popper and the hand mixer. It did have two boogie boards and four lawn chairs plus a card table and some chairs to use outside if you so desire as well as tv trays. The counters and furniture are all done very nicely, I love the yellow quilt on the back bedroom bed. All towels are supplied although they did have some stains on them. There is a pool right behind the unit and the beach is almost as close as you can get to the sand. Great place for people with small children to play in the "D River" which is very shallow and quite warm this time of year. There is a kite festival in the spring and fall. This year the fall kite festival is in October. The owner is most gracious and you can tell that he really cares about your opinion. Two TV's hooked to cable, a CD player, many pans all missing their lids, toaster, microwave, oven, 4 burner stove, dishwasher, two bathrooms with tubs and showers and toilets and sinks, towels, dishtowels, and card table with chairs, lawn chairs, two sand toys, two boogie boards. Missing the washer/dryer. The beach is so humid and then when you shower every day and play in the ocean and swimming pool, it brings lots of wet clothing and towels that never seem to get dry. They do have heat lamps with great fans but doesn't seem to get the towels dry over night. The location is wonderful though and everything is clean and new.

Hi Jackie- thanks for posting all this great info! And sorry for the issues with supplies - I think we've fixed that for future guests. This fall we'll take a look at some of these other things (the bed, the pan lids, etc.) and try to improve that. Thanks for the feedback on all. Also, I've just updated our VRBO listing to reflect that the unit only sleeps 4 people. I had previously said that there were beds for 4 and 6 was the "maximum occupancy" but VRBO displays that as having beds for 6, which is confusing. Kids can sleep in sleeping bags or an air mattress but it's tough to fit 6 adults sleeping in there. Anyway, hope you'll consider coming back in the future. Take care! Thanks, Matt

THE VIEW

Stayed here for 10 nights. We loved everything about this property. From the amazing views to the nice extra touches (tissues, cups in bathroom, closet full of extras if needed, coffee, great spice cabinet) in the condo which are very much appreciated. The swimming pool was nice and warm, used it most every day. Owners were fantastic to work with. I also appreciate the affordability, with everything being so high in price it's great to still be able to afford a vacation home. Hopefully you can keep it that way. The only small suggestion I would make is to replace shower rods with half moon rods, so shower curtain doesn't stick to your body. Will definitely return, Thank you for a great vacation!

Great spot right on the beach

This is a lovely condo right on the beach. Can’t beat the beach access. The condo is well appointed and has comfortable seating for a small family like ours. Loved the fake fireplace and cozy chairs. The only reason I did not give this property five stars is the kitchen items were not as complete as I’m used to in a unit with a kitchen and the bed in the main room is way too soft. It’s also noisy at times because the outer bedroom is near the pool entrance. Owner can’t control that, but you should know if you have children that room can be loud if they sleep there. Otherwise it’s outstanding. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay

We were in Lincoln City about 4 years ago and stayed at the Sea Gypsy. The remodeling that has happened is fantastic!

We liked sitting in the comfy recliners and watching the ocean - very relaxing. People above were not very considerate of other guests. Someone in the immediate area was playing load music until 2:30 AM. Otherwise its a great condo and I would stay again minus the noise.

Condo as advertised

The condo was as advertised, very well equipped with all the necessities, plus more, and clean. Would have much preferred a real fireplace, but the electric one was as advertised; for ambiance only, no heat.

Beautiful Location

This property is amazing. It’s clean and right on the beach. It’s as advertised and the family did a great job of being open to receive communication if needed.

My grandparents were owners at the Sea Gypsy since the day it was built in 1971. When I was a kid, they purchased unit 108, which became our default family vacation spot. I have so many great memories of our family trips to Lincoln City, from huge family reunions to quick weekend getaways from our home in Portland. We spent countless hours digging in the sand, playing on the rocks, and eating steamer clams at Kyllo's. My grandparents would often stay the entire month of January at the condo, enjoying the winter stormy weather of the Oregon Coast.

This condo is really a "home away from home" for our family. We've tried to make it cozy and happy for our guests and for our family. You can't beat the location, only a few steps down to the sand from the front door. And on those stormy Lincoln City days, it's a great place to bundle up inside and spend time together. We love this place and we hope you will too.
