This was a wonderful, perfect place for us to stay to visit my daughter at Word of Life Bible Institute! We just walked across the street!

We loved staying at the cabin - conveniently located for day trips to Lake George and Schroon Lake. It's so rare to find rentals with 2 king beds and they were nice and comfortable. It's a charming spot in the woods with fun vintage details.

We had a great time and truly enjoyed our stay. There was a mishap with the water, but the owner was super quick to respond and send someone out to look at it, unfortunately the morning we were leaving we had no water at all. The cabin is cute, cozy and beds were comfortable! Overall we enjoyed our stay and our hosts were great

Ski and Hiking Weekend

Incredibly reasonably priced stay at this lovely cabin located just minutes from great hiking trails and just 24 minutes from Gore Mountain. The King sized beds were very comfortable, lovely fireplace and spacious kitchen area. Owner sent us very helpful recommendations for places to visit and for where to find what we wanted to do. Would definitley visit again.

The property was described as it was listed. If you're looking to unplug for the week or weekend, this is the place for you. The neighbors are not too close although you can see them through the trees. My family and I enjoyed the old cabin feeling. It was a short 2-minute walk to the water with a small area to swim. Next time I will be bringing my boat to do some fishing. Erin was an incredible host that quickly responded and showed up to a small issue we ran into. She showed up to the property and quickly fixed the issue.

I really want to give this thoughtful host 5 Stars, but I just can’t. We had no issue with the home and furnishings being a bit dated, but there were some issues that need tending. First, the home has mice, which I understand a bit due to the location, but there were no traps or signs of mitigation. We ended up needing to keep our food in the car and there were still droppings on our last morning. The bunk beds are the oddest I have ever seen…a normal sized child would barely fit on the bottom bunk as there is almost no space between it and the top bunk. And definitely claustrophobic. Then the little things that are fine if you aren’t paying a cleaning fee…filthy blender and crockpot, toilet paper holder fell off the wall on first use, etc. I understand not having a dish washer means you get some of the cleanliness of the previous renters, but things should be checked. I feel terrible with this review because the place is spacious and the host left wonderfully thoughtful amenities and snacks. But sadly just not worth the money.

I am hesitant to write this because I know it will mean this beautiful cabin may be harder to book in the future! What an adorable, quintessential Adk Cabin. It is in wonderful condition and Erin has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The beds and linens were awesome. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook full meals. Cute little living room, spacious dining area. The outside patio is so cute and comfy and it’s where we spent most of our time. The location is very convenient and away from the busy village of Schroon lake, but close enough for easy visits or shopping. Walking distance to the river to sit or take a dunk to cool off and the public boat launch is right there as well. Erin has created a wonderful vintage adk escape! If you’re feeling nostalgic for days gone by and want a peaceful break, this is theplace!
