We have had it thoroughly inspected by multiple professionals. They confirmed that the septic system is functioning properly, and the smell is most likely due to the well water. The home is equipped with a water filter, and the odor typically dissipates when the downstairs windows are opened. We truly appreciate your comments and hope to host you again soon!

We’re sorry to hear about the bugs and pet hair you encountered. As the property is located directly on the river, occasional bugs can unfortunately make their way indoors despite our preventative efforts. Our housekeeping team completes a pre-arrival inspection before every stay, so it’s likely they entered after check-in. That said, we understand how this can be frustrating. Regarding the pet hair, while this is a pet-friendly home, it’s clear we missed the mark in this instance. We are addressing this with our housekeeping team right away. We do wish you had reached out during your stay, as we would have been more than happy to send someone over to take care of it promptly. Thank you as well for your comments about the stairs. This is the first time we’ve received feedback that they felt steep or slippery, but we appreciate you mentioning it as helpful insight for future guests. We also appreciate your note regarding the septic system. We’ve had multiple professionals assess this, and everything is functioning properly.
