Lukas was a lovely host, very welcoming. Parking was easy. The property was really beautiful and quiet. Good for adults and children. Strong internet connection too. I highly recommend this spot.

Perfect stop over

My niece and I stayed here and had a lovely night. Hosts were gracious and helpful with recommendations. Beautiful view and gardens.

Cozy and comfortable

The views at night are amazing, cozy atmosphere and a safe neighborhood. Would definitely stay again. Good deal for the price.

Friday Night in the Hills

Great property, great amenities, and wonderful views! We really enjoyed our stay, and Lukas was very accommodating.

Photos are completely misleading. Hot tub is just an inflatable hot tub that’s on this sketchy haphazard porch that was definitely unsafe- tripping, unsanitary situation. The entire property was overgrown, unusable. Cobwebs, cat poop? Spiders. Dead leaves all over. The “main” room looked nothing like the photo. The shack room was hot musty and unsanitary due to the doors that are unsealed and don’t fully close/seal. We didn’t stay, we opted to spend additional monies to obtain a clean, restful Marriott hotel nearby. Host didn't reply when we notified them that we were leaving and not staying due to the inhospitable conditions.

When you messaged us on Friday night, you shared that you were relocating to be closer to your event, and no cleanliness or property issues were mentioned so we had no opportunity to assist during your stay. Our listing description and 70 photos accurately depict our 250 sq. ft. hand-built rustic garden cabin, studio suite, and outdoor hot tub. We always encourage guests to review the full description and photos to ensure our indoor/outdoor garden setting is the right fit.

Charming cabin within good distance of everything

So charming! The studio bed was very comofrtable and the cabin part was soooo cozy. The garden is beautiful and the view of the city at night was breathtaking. Would absolutely stay here again.

Lovely, quirky little place

I only stayed for a quick overnight, so can't speak to the neighborhood. But the space was all I needed, and the hosts made check-in super easy. Parking right in front was super nice, and the view from the detached cabin was peaceful.

Cute and Convenient

I was only there for one evening. I wanted to be close to the Oakland airport for my Monday mid morning flight to avoid traffic. It’s a perfect place for that. No need to get on the freeway and just a short 4-5 mile drive down the hill. Very pretty area too. Oh and the water pressure for the shower was awesome and heats up quick. Thank you again for a very convenient and peaceful stay! I will stay again when in the area.

The space is exactly as advertised. Bring sandals to go between the loft and the studio and to get out to the hot tub!The views from the hot tub were top notch. The studio doesn't have its own heating element and we found it a bit cold so we slept in the loft, but if you're going to need both keep that in mind. There isn't a dedicated spot to dry dishes either so know that. Overall we loved the location, the host was nice and communicated well with us. Thank you!

unpleasant living condition

There is only one bathroom. Other two members of our group have to pass through our bedroom to use the bathroom. Our bed makes noise during use and there is unpleasant smell near bed area.

Hi Changqiang, The listing clearly states 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and no kitchen. When this info was confirmed, you later started to mention there being a smell late at night and asked for refund. We care for your feedback and refund was issued immediately even though we found no smell in the room. We understand if the place is not as per your expectations and hence the refund for our guests’s convenience. It’s unfortunate that you do not provide the full story here.

The two rooms we stayed at were great, providing both me and my friends space and privacy. The cabin with loft was such a lovely space to be in and relax. We all really appreciated the hot tub to relax in at the end of a long day and the view was so gorgeous. It was easy to communicate with Lukas and he was very accommodating to our needs. It was simple enough to have our dog with us and used a side panel fence to separate areas between the front and backyards. To use the bathroom you do have to go through the other bedroom which was ok for our situation. I would recommend the mattress be updated for the room attached to the bathroom. Parking was easy on the street and the neighborhood felt very safe, quiet and peaceful. My friends and I would definitely love to return to this spot in the future.

Absolutely stunning view, both day and night. Lucky to have gotten this spot during lovely weather so it was so clear that Salesforce Tower could be seen across the bay and we checked in right before sunset and watched the sun go down. Lukas was very nice and responsive and had the hot tub ready for us after check in. The garden was a lovely hang out spot for our pack of 4 and we enjoyed a soak and some wine while taking in the view and guessing. The cabin has a large window on the ground floor and loft to see the view. Both rooms were clean with coffee maker, fridge, bonus snacks, and some toiletries. Location is about a 15 minute Uber away from Jack London Square and the arena/coliseum area. You do have to go through the "front" of the house to get to both rooms in the backyard but is otherwise private and the rooms are literally three steps apart. Our entire group agreed that we would definitely stay here again.

Confusing

We wanted to love this property but it was all a bit confusing. Guests have to walk past the main house to get to the rental and the owners were in the house watching us. It made us feel like we had no privacy. Then we found that cabin does not have a bathroom, so you have to go into the other property to use the bathroom. This was fine but confusing. Overall the property could be a Bohemian gem but the garden was overgrown and unkempt which was uninviting. However, the neighborhood was good and the view is beautiful it's just not exactly what we pictured.

Comfortable stay overall but felt unkept. The hot tub was the best part for us, they had it heated up for us when we got there and it had great views over the city. It is pet friendly and our dog enjoyed the backyard. It is a shared backyard with the owners front yard and their pets were outside often as well. But very nice. The rustic cabin was adorable and just like the pictures, but had cobwebs in every windowsill and the sliding door does not close all the way. The garden is overgrown and littered with dead leafs and acorns. And the guest suite room was unwelcoming with the unfinished wallpaper peeling off the walls. I’m low maintenance so I am not unhappy about this stay, but if I had friends or family with me, I probably would have felt different. Could have been a 10/10 if the property was taken care of better.
