This was my 2nd time at sandpiper cove and I plan to keep coming back here. I love the feeling of security with the check gate. The place was nice and comfortable we had family coming and going with no issues about check in gate. Kids loved having the pool right behind us. Beach right across the street so we can come and go all day. The balcony was their favorite place to hang out in our downtime. Everything you want or need is basically right around the corner. Just love this place. We also celebrated my 16 y.o bday we had a great time.

Perfect place to stay for our family of 10 and amenities were great for both the kiddos and adults. Everything was exactly as described in the listing and checkin/out was a breeze! Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again in the future!

Spring break

We’ve been to sand Piper several times and love the area. This condo was nice and spacious. The cleanliness of the condo was ok. Very spacious and great location to the pool and beach.

Amazing stay an i loved the location

This was my first time using vrbo an ot was great, it was easy to get places. There was a dock close by so we used the water taxis which was a fun experience and affordable. Easy access to the beach an the location of the condo was right next to the pool that had 3 hot tubs. There was 5 pools on this property which was great if one was too crowded. I would definitely stay there again.. a bonus if its the same exact condo.

We’ve stayed at Sandpiper Cove for almost 10 years, this has been the worst property. It accommodated our family fine, space-wise, but lacked in several areas. The tub in the guest bathroom would not drain, bare minimum on supplies- we only had 2 rolls of toilet paper, no paper towels, blinds were broken in the living room and bedroom, all mattresses were terrible. The bunk bed in one of the guest bedrooms was so rickety no one could sleep up there because we thought it would fall. The fan in that same room was so wobbly, we couldn’t turn it on. The AC unit could barely keep up. The temperatures would be up to 79 during the day and then go down to 70 at night, even though the AC was set on 69. We’d be there during the day and it would almost be cooler outside. It needs updating, new mattresses and a deep clean. It was in a good location, but for 4500 it was terrible in a lot of areas.

We apologize for the issues you experienced with the guest bathroom drain, broken blinds, the bunk bed, ceiling fan, air conditioning performance, and the overall condition of the unit. This is not the experience we want our guests to have. Your comments have been shared with both our maintenance team and the owner so these concerns can be addressed. The tub drain, blinds, bunk bed, fan, and AC performance will all be inspected, and we've also recommended updates to the furnishings and mattresses, as well as a more thorough deep cleaning. Regarding the starter supplies, we provide an initial set of essentials, including toilet paper and paper towels, to help guests get settled upon arrival. For longer stays, additional supplies are the responsibility of the guest. We appreciate you recognizing the great location, and we're disappointed that the condition of the unit overshadowed your vacation. We value your loyalty to Sandpiper Cove over the past 10 years and hope you'll give us another opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in one of our other vacation rentals.

Winter break in Destin Florida

Nice place. Furniture a little beatup and old but for the most part usable. The floors of the condo turned our feet black...so shoes/slippers were necessary indoors. There are not enough towels for the 8 people we had much less the 10 that the condo can sleep. The pool and jacuzzi adjacent to the condo was in need of cleanining and filtration system was not working properly. The location is very convenient and beach access is a short walk. The resteraunt valet parking makes it difficult to navigate the narrow roads on the property and to park in some of the spaces. Over all the property is nice but not almost $500 a night nice.

Too Expensive!

This condos location was fantastic within Sandpiper Cove. The main problems with the condo itself are that the TVs didn’t all work or the internet. And when messaging the host to try and resolve the issue there was no response. So if you have any issues it’s very likely they won’t get resolved during your stay. This property was not worth the cost. I would look for another property within sandpiper cove.

A Great Time at a Great Place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family recently stayed at Sandpiper and have many great things to say. The location is just right. The beach is very close. It is a short drive to many of the areas biggest attractions. The traffic can be very heavy in sections of Destin, but driving around Sandpiper was usually very easy. The property was very beautiful and well maintained. The pools were nice. We didn’t use the tennis courts or par 3 golf, but the looked great and I’d want to try to make time for both. We did enjoy the newer Bocce Ball court.The only thing that was a little frustrating was not having some essentials at the unit we have normally seen, such as any cleaning supplies at all or a mop (the vacuum was also broken), hand soap, only two trash bags, etc. There wasn’t really any information we saw about any of that prior to our arrival. Also, the dryer in the unit probably needs to be updated. It took a really long time to dry a normal load of laundry. We would have to turn back the dryer multiple times.It would have been nice for all of the bedrooms to have a tv as well.

The beach access was an easy walk, although I am glad we brought a wagon for all of the stuff! We had a great time. Weather could’ve been better but we still enjoyed the beach. The unit we stayed was clean and not too far to walk to the beach, close to the main pool and hot tub and has plenty of room for our family. The master room bed was okay, it could definitely use an upgrade!..Also, beach service would be a nice amenity to include in this unit!

You cannot walk across the floor without shoes unless you like black bottomed feet! It could be a great condo but needs some extra care! You cannot expect renters to pay these prices for unmaintained property. The reservation process and check in/out was very professional and everyone was very helpful. I would stay at Sandpiper Cove again, just not in this unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: High marks for SCove office personnel! Very helpful. Appliances all very well maintained. Beds were perfect. AC worked very well. My only complaint was that the condo needs a very very deep cleaning. More than vacuum, mopping, and dusting. A lot of built up grime on sliding glass door handles to patios. Bar table and stools on patio were very grimy. They hadn't been washed down in years. Feet bottoms are blackened after walking on floor after a few hours. Dresser in kids room was in very poor shape. Couldn't close two drawers because it was so beat up. Bathtub drain for kids room wouldn't drain. I had to buy a cheap plastic snake to clear it of sand and hair. Screen on large window in living room was torn. It should have been replaced long ago. Looks like the owner doesn't want to put any maintenance into condo other than bare minimum. Other than these items the condo was excellent and I would recommend it if the deep cleaning and repairs are done.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Sandpiper Cove. We have been coming here for 10+ years. This unit is in a nice location and is laid out well. The jack and jill bathroom between bathrooms 2/3 is nice but a bit inconvenient during the day, having to go back through the rooms to access the restroom. Would be nice for an extra 1/2 bath in shared living area for during the day and also for our pull out couch sleeper at night (avoid having to come into a room to access the bathroom). But not a huge deal. But the biggest thing that I would recommend is that they update the kitchen with even the most basic cooking items. We thankfully bring a lot with us but there isn't even a baking sheet. Small appliances and stove are extremely dated as well. A few kitchen upgrades would really make the cooking experience a lot nicer. But we loved the location near the pool (and the deck) with just a short walk to the beach.
