Hi Karen, Thank you for your review of this property. We will definitely pass on your review and suggestion for upgrades to appropriate parties. I have never had a complaint about the showers screeching before so had you let us know we would have sent someone out to check on things right away. Nonetheless I am glad you had a great stay!

Thank you for your feedback, Eric. Although we inspect the properties we manage, we do rely on guest feedback regarding sleeping accommodations. As a result of your input the property owners have replaced the queen and both twin mattresses. Cleaning baseboards and plants are part of our deep clean which we can not do with back to back guests. We will certainly address the baseboards and plants when we have a break in guests. Hi Julie, So sorry you did not have a perfect stay. However, your rental agreement (which you signed), states that if there is something wrong with cleaning or any maintenance issue, that you are to contact property management immediately. We did not hear from you at all during your stay. We would have sent someone out right away. I personally have never stayed in a rental property that provided all of my toiletries and groceries. Your basic supplies were provided and you received an email 7 days prior to your check in telling you exactly what would be provided. No aluminum foil should not have been a surprise to you. Many vacation rentals require the guest to bring their own sheets and towels. Mattresses are like flowers, everyone has a favorite. Some people like a pillow top while others prefer a firmer mattress. You are the first to complain about the mattresses, but we will bring that to the owners’ attention. Thank you.

This guest called me the morning of her arrival stating she did not receive her check in instructions. I checked the vacation rental software and as scheduled, the instructions were emailed to her on July 18, 2020, 7 days prior to her check in. If she did not see them, she chose to wait until her check in day to contact me. Our rental agreement states that the guest contact us immediately to report any housekeeping issues. She emailed the day of check in at 9:34 pm reporting some minor deferred maintenance issues, but did not request repair of any of the items. She concluded that email “Just wanted to let you know about these issues so we wouldn’t be charged. Unless you feel like something is a danger, no need to address while we are here.” Well, there was nothing dangerous and we have been very sensitive to the fact that there is a pandemic and many guests do not want staff to enter the premises. 4 days into her stay she emails about a bag of sheets in the bedroom upstairs. She claimed they were dirty and now she is not convinced the king sheets in the master were clean. The storage bag and tupperware container (which belongs to the owner and are not used for guests have sheets in them). How does that all of a sudden make the house dirty? If the house was dirty why is she waiting until day 4 of her stay to tell us? We have a long series of emails with this guest where she says one thing but then contradicts herself or embellishes the negative conditions of the property after the fact. I will not bore any readers of this review with all the details, the multiple responses to her emails and the obvious contradictions in her thread, ad nauseum. This guest wanted to receive a refund of some sort “before” she wrote her review. She mentioned this in several emails. Bottom Line: this guest never asked for anything to be addressed during her stay which we would have been happy to do. She now embellishes the condition of the property a week after she checked out which clearly contradicted her first email. 2 prior guests have given the property 5 star reviews. Unfortunately, we have to deal with about 1-2% of our guests that are similar to her and are just looking for a way to get some cash back by threatening a bad review. We do not capitulate to extortion, so we told her to write her review and we would respond accordingly based on the chain of emails she had provided and this response. BEWARE Property managers we would not rent to this guest ever again.
