The Space:

Watch the ocean waves roll in from this gorgeously positioned hillside home in Oceanside, where you'll be treated to incredible views of the coastline and unforgettable nightly sunsets! Inside this charming space, you'll find an open living area with large windows, a well-appointed kitchen, and comfortable furnishings to make you feel at home. Kick back on the deck and soak in the view, light the private gas grill for a summer barbecue on the patio, and curl up on the couch as the fog rolls in in the evening.



This home is a short stroll from the heart of Oceanside, where you'll find several dining options and an access point to the beach. You'll also be just two miles north of Netarts and the beach at Happy Camp (where you can do a bit of crabbing right from the shore), and three miles south of the scenic Cape Meares Lighthouse. Tillamook is only nine miles inland, offering shopping, dining, and the famous Tillamook Creamery.

We loved the the comfortable beds, furniture, the art and unique details of this beach house. The location was perfect, as it was just a 5 minute walk to the beach.The areas that needed improvement were, the kitchen was poorly stocked for cooking. ( Ex: There we only two pots: a medium saucepan and large crab pot & no servng bowls).Like other reviews mentioned, the house was only surfaced clean. For instance, there was black mold in the corner of the upstairs bathroom and the faucet was covered in brown grime and smelled of mold. The house was in serious need of a good dusting, the barbecue was filthy and the outdoor table was covered in mold. Lastly, when we arrived at the beach house, at 3:55 pm, we walked into loud music playing and the cleaner sitting on the downstairs bed, looking at her phone. I asked if we could start bring in luggage, and her response was to give her five more minutes to put away & fold towels. After a 10 minute wait, she let us enter as she finished her work. Other issues: -We were provided one set of a hotel sized shampoo & conditioner for our five night stay for 10, and no body wash. After communicating with the management co.'s AI assist , the next day, they delivered just two more sets for the 3 days and one body wash. The liquid soap bottle in the upstairs bathroom was also empty. With the rising cost OR coast beach houses, the service and cleanliness should be up to par.

The home was nestled into a hillside, within just a few minutes walk down to the beach. It is a steep incline to get up and down, so it's good to be mindful when booking here. There are a couple of cafes also along the same short walk, which were cute and served yummy food and coffee. Be mindful of parking here, as well. Its tight for everyone living on this little hillside, and even more tight for two full-sized trucks, including a dually pickup. It was just enough space for us to park snuggly against the hillside, right in front of the property and it didn't pose any issue to vehicles continuing down the hill. The views of the ocean and beach were absolutely beautiful from the main floor, deck and upstairs bedroom. It was quite comfortable and homed our party of 4 adults and two infants very well. The only complaint I have is with the kitchen pans and knives. Most of the pans were not usable due to the non-stick coating being all scratched up and flaking off, which poses a health risk. Also, we were not able to locate steak knives and the chef's knives were extremely dull and hazardous to use. Overall, we would absolutely love to return, when the weather isn't so gloomy, in order to enjoy the area more.

The view from the living room, bedroom and deck cannot be beat. The home is comfortable with everything you need or want for a great visit to the Oregon coast.

Great property for families, we loved the location and home layout. Wish it had been a tad cleaner but it wasn't terrible...just not as clean as other VRBO properties I've stayed in.

The place was beautifully decorated with interesting things and art from around the world. The view of the ocean was amazing. Short walk to the beach with a cool tunnel. Fit our needs with family with kids. Highly recommended!

Family weekend

The property was in a pretty setting and the view was breathtaking .The house was a nice layout... 3 levels was nice... Some separation from family and noise. Loved the kitchen and long dining room table. The decor was different and carpets upstairs were severely stained.

Great Port In a Storm

We happen to time our vacation with the largest wild fires that Oregon has ever seen. As such, smoke permeated much of the air and our vacation. Thanks goodness we had such a nice place to stay. We really enjoyed the house, the vibe of the neighborhood, and the beach. The house was quiet, clean, and even though we arrived when the power was out, the housekeeper had the sheets clean, place vacuumed, and ready to go. We would love to come back again when we can breathe the lovely ocean air!

A great stay

We loved staying here. Yes, on first glance there are some spots that could be remedied with a deep clean or some investment in the property (the bathroom could use an upgrade investment to make the property that much more appealing) but overall, as we unpacked, we realized it is just a great house. Great kitchen, comfy beds, and of course the views and the deck, wow. Kitchen has everything you need except your own food! Also plenty of towels, beach towels, kites, you name it, you just make the 5 minute walk to the beach and enjoy. Had a great time, would return to Oceanside!

Family fair trip

There were 4 adults, 2 children and 1 infant. The home is set up perfectly for 2 families. Beautiful views of the beach and ocean. Deck off the upstairs is a wonderful place to relax. There are plenty of stairs into the property and it’s 3 levels in the home. You get your steps in. Parking is a little tricky but we worked it out with only 2 cars. We spent a day at the county fair. It was a wonderful family trip.

Refreshingly tasteful beach house

Of any mid-priced beach house we've rented, this was the best. Great views, great layout, well-equipped kitchen . . . But most of all great taste. No calabash sporting seafarer reliefs or faux nets and floats, no grandma print bedding, no sunset photos. Instead, balinese puppets, kachina dolls, weavings and even hand-carved columns. And they take dogs! Only downsides: the fireplace wasn't working and the 10 am checkout is kind of brutal. Vacasa offered late checkout for a price. Normal 11 am or noon would be more fitting to such a lovely place. Fabulous spot. We'll be back.
