Wonderful stay!

Song Bird Lodge was wonderful! Very cozy, beautiful views, great outdoor deck areas, and fun for the kids! We loved it and hope to return!

We especially loved all the comfy outdoor spaces, giving everyone room to spread out, enjoy the amazing views, take in the sun, relax in the shade, and relish our time together. We also had fun the downstairs game rooom, where our grandson beat everyone at air hockey! The house was very clean & well-stocked with everything we needed. The access was easy & it was just minutes to Waynesville, restaurants, the BRP, hiking, and all our favorite things to do. This was our second stay at Bird Song Lodge & we look forward to returning soon!

Lovely Cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 2nd Thanksgiving we have stayed for a week at this cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful and well decorated. Last year it was pretty clean but this year we definitely had issues of overall cleanliness- there was mold in all the showers, frequent foul odor smells, and we dealt with numerous pests (spiders, wasps, roach/beetles, ladybugs galore). There were cobwebs all around the rooms. The cleaning and pest control really need to be stepped back up- we didnt encounter any of this last year. However, the home is beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed- the fireplace is fantastic and the neighbor with the playground was perfect for our family! We would definitely consider staying again if the above issues were resolved

Once lovely cabin now full of creepy taxidermy and dusty decor

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have always enjoyed this cabin. Now, it is full of cheesy, dusty decorations and taxidermied animals. It wreaked of mothballs when we arrived. There was a rotting jackelope head in the garage that someone had placed in a bucket of mothballs. The Christmas decorations were still up. The deck and furniture were covered in pollen. There was a large grease spill in the oven. The grill knobs caught on fire when we used the grill! There are two windows that will not close. The bath mats were dirty. Overall, it just felt like no one cared this time.

These things will be addressed, unfortunately, the property will be out of the rental program after October and things have been moved in per owners decoration they want. We are glad no one was hurt during the gas grill incident, our maintenance team did go out and bought a new one to replace for your use. Overall we hope you enjoyed the community and your vacation.

It snowed the day before but smoky mountain retreat made every effort to ensure that we could get up and down the mountain to our destination. Wonderful experience with both rental company and house.

There was easy access into the house for the elderly and handicapped. We all (from ages 6 to 91) appreciated all the amenities and had fun playing all the games. Perfect Weekend at Positive View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We met four of our family members in Maggie Valley for Fathers Day weekend. The house is warm and inviting with very comfortable beds. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. We spent all day Sunday playing downstairs in the game room. Part of our family went whitewater rafting and the others toured the Biltmore. However we spent most of weekend on deck enjoying that stunning mountain view. Sunsets were breathtaking also looked at the night sky with the telescope and stayed up late talking. Made memories last a lifetime.

Truly Beautiful!!

This is positively the nicest place we have ever stayed (and we do this trip one or two times per year)! The view was stunning, the cabin so very comfortable and inviting! We will definitely be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a spectacular home! With a view that is absolutely stunning. The home is decorated beautifully with a cozy canin feel. All king beds a plus with comfortable mattresses. We wished they had televisions in the bedrooms. I feel the property may rent better with them. The game/tv room downstairs was full of fun activity items...pool table, darts, air hockey, basketball game set. The cabin was spotless, everthing in working order. The house will not ever disappoint! Do yourself a favor and stay here. 30 minutes to Cherokee and 30 minutes to Asheville and 10 minutes from cute historic Waynesville.

Big bedrooms and spacious decks for sitting out and enjoying the view. Lots of entertainment options for nights at home. Wonderful to be able to turn off the a/c and enjoy the fresh air all week. Rental Office staff very responsive to a couple of minor issues that were quickly resolved.

It was super clean and had tons of games to play for our family when we were just hanging around the cabin during a lazy day. Air Hockey, Foosball, Billiards, Darts a card table and a really fun competitive basketball game. Normal, minor maintenance issues were handled timely when they came up.
