The North Captiva Point House blev bygget af Barnacle Phil og hans kone Roberta Kinsey i 1981. En ægte klassisk Florida Beach House, det har stort værelse med fuldt udstyret køkken, separat 'bunk house' og brede porches på alle sider. Stående på en privat halvø ved indgangen til Safety Harbor, giver hver retning en fantastisk udsigt over havnen, Pine Island Sound, Captiva Pass og videre. Udsigt mod øst tilbyder den stigende sol eller måne i betagende udsigter. Hvide sandstrande skørt knappestrækningen og havdrupen lund, der omgiver huset. En privat, beskyttet dybhavsbank giver både en sikker kaj. Udestående fiskeri, fugle og svømning er en given. I nattens stadig kan dolphin høres 'vejrtrækning' som de runder på punktet på jagt efter mullet, snapper og anden mad.

Our family had an amazing stay at this cute little house. It was perfect for us. We will be rebooking and coming back again! Adore the point house and feel it's the best house on the island if you are looking for some peace and quiet and privacy.

Absolutely breathtaking! I couldn’t get enough of the views. Sunrises were beautiful and to watch the storms rolling across the water was definitely a sight to see! The house had everything you needed and was super relaxing! We will definitely be back! The host was also super responsive which makes this home even better! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Great place to stay and the fishing was phenomenal. Only problem that me and my family had were that there wasnt a grill for us to use. Also we weren't prepared about there not being much convenience on that island at all but we'll know better for next time!!!

Best place to stay on Charlotte Harbor

This place is just awesome. The dock is perfect. It’s nicely decorated. It’s well equipped & has everything you need. I over packed. You don’t need to bring much!

Private Point

Our stay with family here was wonderful. The home is beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. The 360 degree water views were amazing, the beach was huge and private. Our boys loved the “separate” bunk/kids house and my husband greatly appreciated the deep water dock for the boat. We will definitely be back.

Despite the devastation from the hurricane the house was in order. Fully stocked. Clean. Secluded with dolphins and manatees right out the window. Can’t wait to return!

So relaxing!

Thank you for sharing your property with us! We had magnificent views—- including a full double rainbow 😍 the space was comfortable and clean and perfect for a long weekend getaway. We were able to easily access our boat to spend time on Cayo costa, lunch on cabbage key and a dip in the pool at the N. Captiva club. We didn’t need to use the bunk house, but would be perfect if we brought the kids! Thank you!!

Love!

This is our absolute favorite trip yearly! From before renovations to now. You get NO better views than this house. Ashton is a absolute dream to work with and you feel like you’ve got your own tiny piece of home while staying. Fishing is great, house is amazing. Nothing more you can ask for!!

We had booked this property for 5 days in March, 2017. We had a family illness/death and had to cancel our reservation within a few weeks of our planned arrival. Rebecca was very accommodating and gave us a generous refund under the circumstances.

Amazing Property!!!

I'm in love with this property!!! The views in every direction are beautiful. I loved the wrap around porches. The house itself could use some updates but I would stay here again and again even with out the updates. The beds in the main house were soft & comfy. We stayed for a few days with our 3 young kids & our lab and my oldest said this was her all time favorite vacay she's ever been on. (She's been on alot of vacations). Amanda was the lady that checked us in, and she was super friendly and laid back. Thanks for an amazing vacation, can't wait to come back!

Great Location

The property has wonderful views from the wrap around deck and having a dock for our boat was definitely a plus. I would say that not having an actual bedroom and somewhere to hang your clothes was a little inconvenient. Just know that this property does not offer a golf cart and the rentals were too pricey. I didn't notice that when I booked it. Other than that we had a good time.

Idyllic Location!

Beautiful location, beautiful island! Had a great experience, owner's uncle met us upon arrival to make sure we were all set! Owner was very poor at answering my questions and communicating leading up to trip so I was a little nervous upon arrival, but everything worked out great! It should also be noted that this isn't really two bedrooms, it has two beds in the livingroom area and then a second bedroom that is completely unattached to main building. We were travelling with small children, so I think it's important to know what to expect as far as sleeping arrangements. Worked out fine for us though. Would definitely come again!!

Most unique and amazing experience

This home is without a doubt the most unique place my family has ever vacationed in. A boat is a must!! It was well worth the extra effort to bring our boat down. We were surrounded by water and beautiful views no matter where we looked. I told my friends we rented our own island!! It is easy to stay secluded or go exploring by land or sea to find a fun little restaurant or a hidden ice cream shop to surprise the kids with. My kids and husband loved the fishing and I got to enjoy some quiet time on that wonderful deck/porch. This home gives you a feeling of what old Florida was like... I really loved it and we cannot wait to go back!!

AMAZING!!!!

Amazing is not even a big enough word to describe the experience we had at the Point House on North Captiva. Breathtaking, relaxing, wonderful, simply put . . . perfect. There was a hurricane looming in the distance but we decided to chance it and hope for the best. We talked to Rebecca and she was amazing to work with and ready to be accommodating at every turn of events. Not only can I not say enough about this property but I can’t say enough kind words about her!!! Our vacation was more than we could have ever expected and our children loved every moment. We absolutely can’t wait to go back!!! Highly, highly recommend this experience to anyone!!! If I could have given everything 20 stars I absolutely would have because 5 just isn’t enough! Thank you Rebecca for everything you did to make our vacation so wonderful and for all of your help in the midst of a possible hurricane. I can say without a doubt you are truly an awesome person! Best place we’ve ever vacationed by far!!!

Point House

We enjoyed the stay at Point House. While there are limiting things about this property, It is exactly what was needed. !sometimes the limits arent bad at all. The property was clean and as described. We will be back! Fantastic dock and access, This is a boaters PLACE!

Amazing Beach House

Love this place! One of a kind beach house with amazing views. Ashton is a fantastic property manager who assisted our every need and answered all our questions promptly. Great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of this island.

Perfect!

The Point House exceeded our expectations in all ways. It was spotless, great kitchen, fabulous beds and pillows. But the deck was the best! To be surrounded by water was a dream, watching the boats go by was fun… but the best part was seeing and hearing the dolphins!!! I cannot wait to get back!

Beautiful and relaxing. The lock box to get the key was impossible to open. Tons of boat traffic

Fun nice, the remodel is great. You should inform people that it is so close to the harbor boat traffic. Some of the boats blast very loud music and they pass 20 feet from the house.

Paradise found!

OMG, this place is a dream come true. Every glance at every angle offers a panoramic view of dolphins and manatees frolicking in their natural habitat. It’s like living in a Natural Geographic documentary in a wonderfully appointed beach cottage. We booked our next vacation at this gem before we even left our first trip…. I almost don’t want to brag any more about this place so it doesn’t sell out…. Enjoy the island and don’t forget to reserve a golf cart with Sun and Fun!
