Super clean and inviting space for my family of 4. We were greeted by a doe and her fawn and the beautiful foliage. Awesome home with all the amenities we could ask for. The kids enjoyed all the toys and books that were already there while we enjoyed the comfortable and open spaces around the property. Will be looking to visit again in the fall.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property for a short family getaway. The property is clean and has so many thoughtful details to make for a magical stay, especially for families with children. While we visited the water park and Luray Caverns we truly could have never left the cabin and had just as an entertaining stay. This is definitely a property our family would visit again!

This house was in an excellent location, very clean, with a decently stocked kitchen. It is especially well suited for younger kids. We stayed with our (very tall) teens and family friends with teens over New Years and it worked well for a few nights, with a couple of them sleeping on couches in the basement.

Epic Trip

We had a great time staying at this comfy mountain house, was such a peaceful location, and easy access to the adventure park and waterpark. Will definitely stay here again, my family had a great time!! Made tons of memories.

Beautiful Woods Retreat nestled in Massaunutten Resort

Couldn't ask for a better spot! close to the slopes and plenty of space for your group to spread out. Check in was super easy and owner provides a list of all home information. Check out was straight forward and home comes with all the essentials. Looking forward to staying here again!

Loved our getaway!

Tucked away at the top of the mountain is this beautiful chalet. So well kept, clean and well-stocked. This home has it all. What a great way to spend a family weekend!

Would come again!

This house is perfectly set up for babies and toddlers. The toy nook upstairs and playroom (with air hockey table) were big hits- we had a 7 month old and two three year olds. It’s super close to the water park and ski slope, so you won’t run out of things to do on a family vacation.

Great for families with small kids!

We had a small stay with terrible weather, but the owners are right that there are a TON of toys for the kids and we didn't have any complaints. The best part is the basement with the toys is separate from the bedrooms, so the kids can play without having to wake up all the adults.

My family has a wonderful vacation and this house was part of the great experience. It was clean and beautiful. The owners were communicative and we had all the information we needed on the printouts they provided. We would stay again!

Excellent Stay- Highly Recommend

For Kids II is perfect for a family getaway. We stayed here with family friends (4 adults and 2 children <5 in total) and this place was perfect! Centrally located to all the mountain activites and made it easy to get from all the various activities. The property itself has plenty to entertain the kids, so there is no need to pack all the extra toys! We will be back!

Took a short trip with the kids to spend the day at the water park, stayed two nights and couldn’t have been happier with this rental. The kids had a blast at the house and were very well occupied in our down time relaxing after a long day in the water!

Fantastic second visit

This was our family’s second time staying in this home while visiting Shenandoah, Massanutten, and other sites in the area! The home is very clean, nicely appointed, and has had some nice updates. The “high ropes” course in the yard is tons of fun for the kids. The location is fantastic and very quiet. The VRBO site and description are accurate. We would stay again!

My family of 5 stayed here for a week and had the most wonderful time! The location was easy to find. We appreciated that it was in a wooded area, yet not far from the activities we wanted to do while in Massanutten. The flat driveway was noted - travelers in the winter snow and ice may want this house solely for that reason, as we saw some homes in this area on massive hills. My 3 young sons had the time of their lives splashing at Massanutten Water Park and climbing rocks in Shenandoah National Park. The kid-friendly house matched our needs very well: my children thoroughly enjoyed playing with the many toys and games and reading the books in the house. I actually didn't mind the vacation meal prep duties in that modern kitchen that had everything I needed. When my husband or I had work to do, it almost didn't feel like work, sitting in the beautiful living room with exposed wooden beams, huge windows, and sky lights. Relaxing on the screened-in porch was a highlight for all of us. Our hosts, Matt and Katie, were always thoughtful, thorough, and time-conscious in their communication with me. I thought it was awesome how they seemed to consider every detail a guest might need and put that information in an easy guide. I don't know if other hosts do that but this guide was extremely helpful to me because it included everything I needed to know about the property, as well as a plethora of fantastic ideas for what to do while in the area. We really enjoyed our time here.
