This property was in a wonderful neighborhood, not far from the main hustle and bustle of Isle of Palms. Because it was dog friendly, it checked a lot of boxes for us! The first floor apartment was very comfortable, especially the living room furniture! The WiFi worked well for what we needed. Island Realty was very helpful and responsive and highly organized for our check-in. This is our first time staying there and we will look for it in the future as well!

A solid “B”

We rented this house because of its proximity to Breach Inlet between IOP and Sullivan’s Island. Here, it did not disappoint! Where it was lacking is in outside upkeep (the grass/weeds were 10inches high when we arrived) and there were sandbags around the front porch to prevent water from pooling there. The advice I would give if staying at this property is “don’t rent the ground floor.” The family above us literally sounded as if they were stomping around all week. All that said, I would give the property and process a solid “B.”

Quick weekend getaway

We enjoyed our quick weekend getaway. The rental is located on the southern side of the island, away from the crowds. The walk was very short to the beach. The neighbors are friendly. We were on the first level, which worked out wonderfully for our dog. We were provided plenty of towels and blankets. The bathroom was very small, but efficient. Check in was a first for me—going to a rental office, but it was quick and painless and right on the way. The tv is older and we could not stream to it. The beds were decent. WiFi was good. There is a lot of background noise from the upstairs neighbors. We could hear their footsteps loudly. Not a big deal for a short stay, but be aware.

Great little getaway

Worked out perfect for our little trip to visit family. We were able to spend the day at the bench and enjoy downtown. It was so close to everything! We will definitely be renting again when we visit family.

Family Beach vacation

The house was perfect for our group of 6. It was truly pet friendly, owners even had a leash and emergency pet hospital info. It is a warm welcoming home. The walk to the beach was a quick walk and the neighborhood was safe and quiet.

Great location a few things to fix

Loved the location however the king size bed was hard and the people that rented the upstairs talked loudly Friday night till 2 am and Saturday night until 4 am.

Cute little place, very close to a great stretch of beach. We had a maintenance problem, but they came and fixed it right away. Only wish the property was equipped with beach towels -they are too bulky to bring a long on the plane.

Great Beach Stay

Get Away

I brought my parents and dog to visit the island again. Home was in a good location. There may be a short in the wiring for the home, the dinning room lights would go real bright and then off again.

Wonderful property in a GREAT location

Our stay here was great. Well stocked kitchen, beds were good and the living space was homey and comfortable. The updates made here really made the place feel nice. We also loved the one-street walk to the beach as well as a 20 min drive into downtown Charleston. We were in the bottom unit of this 2 unit place, and we were not terribly bothered by anyone above us. But, if you're easily annoyed with others' normal living noise, just know that you will hear people above you. We loved being able to have a place like this and bring our small, older dog. He really grew to love the VERY dog friendly beach. Overall, we had a great time on our spring break trip this year!

I feel for $1150 for 3 nights. It should look better. Also the grill was just gross and very old. The place is very clean but just needs a make over. Put a TV in the master bedroom.

Not worth the money

A dead rat was left at the front door to welcome us. The location is good but the AC was poor and you could could every word of the neighbours upstairs. Would not stay again and do not recommend. WiFi is horrible. Required rebooting multiple times. We did not have consistent access throughout our trip. Bathroom water pressure is HORRIBLE. and kitchen was very ill equipped. Stay elsewhere!

Beware of bad properties

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house needs to be renovated. The kitchen floors are spongy and soft beneath the linoleum. This house has a terrible roach infestation probably related to the structural issues per my contractor boyfriend who was with me. The overall finish and cleanliness of the place was on par with Motel 6. I was embarrassed that I rented this property and it put a damper on our little vacation. Disgusting. The property manager was slow to call back, the rental place was hard to reach by phone. In the end I never even got to speak with someone. I've rented with them before and been satisfied, but make sure you get a good property.

Bites, etc.

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was nice; however, the master bed had bugs in it as I had bites all over me. Not sure if it was bed bugs or fleas. Recommend spraying and replacing the mattresses. Secondly, the parking needs to be marked or on the rental papers. I parked at the back to let my mother walk on level concrete to go in and was RUDELY attack by the other renters when they arrived to the point she was almost yelling at me to move my vehicle. My 72 yr old mother with a broken arm and bad back needed something level to walk in. The parking spot in the front does not have a walk way, only unlevel ground. Island Realty needs to get with the home owners to have a proper walkway put in AND advise all renters of the parking to avoid mean and rude people. I’ve stayed with Island Tealty for over 15 years. This is the second poor stay. Not sure what has changed or making money is more of a priority than the people, but it needs to be fixed. I question whether this review will be addressed in the proper manner. I hope these items are addressed as it isn’t pleasant to have bites all over. Would not recommend this property until the bugs are eliminated.
