The apartment was beautiful. Amazing views, central location, grocery store downstairs, and transit steps from the door. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay, just sad it ended so soon. Host communicated everything very well. I didn’t feel the need to wonder or question anything. We will definitely be booking this again when we return.

Very nice fully stocked apartment with convenience of grocery store and prime downtown location. Views are amazing. Owners communication is very responsive and detailed. Access to all amenities included. Doorman very helpful.

Family getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the penthouse. The views are incredible and the apartment was well-appointed with everything we needed. We did laundry halfway through our stay and went home with some clean clothes. My husband and I both enjoyed the soaking tub. The only downsides were that the bed and pillows were quite firm for us and the sauna wasn’t working properly during our visit. Traveling with a toddler can be a real challenge but the apartment helped greatly.

The location, view, and hosts are superb. Be cautious about a full size pickup or SUV fitting in the parking garage.

Great little get away

We stayed at this rental 10 years ago and liked it so much that we looked it up and stayed here again recently. Clean and well stocked. Quiet and friendly neighbors. Doorman was friendly and helpful. Great location for walking and ubering to many places. We hope to bring our kids next time and stay in one of the owners larger units.

Excellent condo in great central area with magnificent views

We'd never been to Chicago before, and wanted to spend 5 nights there in a central downtown area. This condo is beautiful, clean, has exceptional views of downtown and the lake, and is close to most downtown attractions. Well furnished and decorated. Highly recommended!

Quick trip but great facility

Our trip was to move our daughter to Chicago so didnt have time to use the amenities or kitchen. Clean with great views. Great location to be near everything. Only downside was daily panhandlers who could get aggressive. Would rent this again!

Perfect Stay in the City!

What a wonderful stay we had at the Grand Plaza penthouse! Jeri & James thought of all the details that make an VRBO feel like a home. Their instructions were very thorough, and when we did reach out, Jeri was very responsive throughout our stay.Calling this condo home during our trip to Chicago made it extra memorable! The views of the city were breathtaking and the location was more than we could have asked for. You will find travel to and from the airport a breeze with the Red Line a few steps away, so many amazing restaurants within a 10 minute walk, and an enjoyable stroll to both the River Walk and Michigan Avenue.Our stay at the Grand Plaza Penthouse coincided with one of Chicago’s summer heatwaves, however, having this unit to come back to after a day full of adventures and sightseeing refreshed us and made us forget about the temperatures outside. One night, we even chose to enjoy the city views from the balcony and ordered Lou’s deep dish pizza to the building. I could go on, but all of this is to say, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Plaza penthouse and would highly recommend!

Location, location, location!!!

Celebrating our 20th anniversary and our plan was to eat, drink and be merry. Our best friends stayed with us for two nights and we had three nights to ourselves. This property was in the perfect location for us. Everything we wanted was within a ten-block radius. Having a grocery store in the same building is super convenient too. Don't forget the view, AMAZING!

Perfect getaway

Booked this penthouse for a birthday getaway staycation with my hunny during Covid-19. It was so convenient having a jewel right next door. Definitely bragg to my co workers how amazing this place was and not to mention how beautiful the view was at night. I show them the pictures and they wanted to book right away. Will definitely recommend and will book here again on the 5207 floor.

Our third stay - we LOVE it!

We have now had 3 winter stays at this penthouse. Everything about it is perfect - amazing views, thoughtful and first-rate amenities, comfortable and elegant furnishings, SO clean, quiet, and ultra cozy with the gas fireplace. A perfect retreat after a day of chilly walking and site-seeing. Location couldn't be better. Red line stop next to building, 3 blocks from MI Ave. - Magnificent Mile, grocery next door, endless restaurant choices. Friendly doormen, great communication with owner.

Glass Apartment in the Sky

By far the best apt with very reasonable price. Owners communicate expectations & procedures clearly. Doorman wonderful as is amenities. Glass apt in the sky is beautiful, stocked with everything needed, and is located in the heart of downtown. Highly recommend!!!

Loved it!!!

This property was absolutely amazing! The views were impeccable. The close proximity to main attractions, the lake, river, and the Magnificent Mile was sublime. I would definitely rebook. Next time, I won’t have freshly dyed hair so that I won’t ruin your pillow cases. I appreciate your grace with handling that mishap as well.

Nice building,great location

This building has great amenities and great location. And the unit has great views. However there were a couple of things that were substandard for the price and quality of building and location: the unit has carpet throughout and it’s really dirty. Also the towels were cheap Walmart towels. Also note that the bed is a queen (which is how it’s advertised). But plenty of room for a king bed. And would be expected for a “penthouse”. Other than that we enjoyed the stay.

FABULOUS!!!! in every way!

Condo is more spacious than pictured, view from all rooms is excellent, and fireplace adds that special touch!.. PLUS, amenities on another floor within building include full gym/basketball practice area/pool table-TV room/library/outdoor track/outdoor pool/grills...Location SUPERB!! Many restaurants, and the convenience of having Whole Foods/Trader Joes within 3 blocks, and a Jewel Osco adjacent to the building! Walking distance to museums, shows, and seasonal events that Downtown Chicago offers---this unit and it's location makes for a truly wonderful experience! Look forward to returning!
