From the minute I walked in to this little spot I absolutely loved it. It was perfect for walking or riding a scooter to the Phoenix Convention Center every day. The listing was accurate that it is in an urban area, but knowing that going in was all I needed to be prepared. I give everything about this property 5 stars (location, easy to find, quiet neighbors, responsive and accommodating host, amenities nearby), except the sleeping conditions I give a 1 or 2 stars out of 5 - so that's how I got to my 3 stars overall.While I am VERY grateful the air conditioner was working (it was 115 degrees everyday I was there), it was not ideal that it stayed on literally 24/7 and was EXTREMELY loud and never cooled the room off probably more than 73 degrees. Additionally, the blinds and curtains in the bedroom were not adequate to block out the light from the street or the sun as it was rising at 5am. Yes, I am extremely particular about my sleeping conditions. At home I sleep at 68 degrees, the room blacked out & a quiet fan going. Cool, quiet, and dark. This place didn't have any of those things going for it. However, if that's what you're used to at home then I think you'll love staying here. The bed was not lumpy. The pillows and bedding were great. Truly everything about this property was 5 stars except for the loud, hot, and bright sleeping conditions. I did share my concerns with the host and they said they'd check the AC and improve the curtains.

Clean space

The apartment was clean and nice but living room was warm no central air. After the ac was on for awhile it was nice inside.

Cute; handy location

Good place to stay for short people. May be claustrophobic for those over 6’+. Had everything we needed for a weekend in the city.

Unit change

The day I was due to arrived, I was notified my original rental unit was not avialable. I was disappointed as when selecting a rental property the decision is made on the posted pictures and I was looking forward to being in the cute unit I choose. However the property manager shifted me to another unit. The new unit was a disappointment, mainly due to my hoping to have my original choice. The complementary bottle of wine helped. That being said, the unit was adequate for my needs, it was close to the convention center where I was attending a 3 day conference. There is a cute coffee house across the street and several easy access restuarants, all within walking distance. The down side of the unit was the toilet running off and on during my stay (reported to the prop. manager).The other issue was I traveling and staying alone, the area was a bit dicey at night, the street the house is on could use some street lights. However I did feel safe in the unit.

Connie, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am glad to hear you had the opportunity to enjoy some of the local restaurants and the coffee shop. It is unfortunate that you were disappointed in the unit we upgraded you to. The unit you stayed in is $30 more a night and when we offered you the opportunity to upgrade we did send you the VRBO listing of the newly proposed unit and your response was: "Yes- I'm okay with the switch". We were not aware of the running toilet until you mentioned it the last day of your stay which didn't allow us an opportunity to have that remedied before you left. It is unfortunate that you felt it was not in the best neighborhood. We are deliberately clear in our description of the area, provide a map and take measures to ensure that guests read and understand where they will be staying.
