'Shell i en håndtaske' Beachfront Condo med fuldt udstyret k��kken, Pool, 4 sovepladser

Enhed 304 er en simpel, veltalende og rummelig lejlighed, vi kalder "Shell i en håndbagage." Det blev helt ombygget fra top til tå i 2015 og har en dejlig ny fornemmelse af det. Liggende på øverste etage kan du se fragtflyvninger i horisonten, der migrerer på deres rederier og observere gråhvalerne tættere migrering som en del af deres parringsritual.

Nr. 304 Shell i en håndbagke sover fire på en helt ny queen size murphy seng i ocean suite og en anden queen size seng i det private soveværelse. Oceanfront suite er bred og åben med to afslappende stole, en loveseat og et fladskærms-tv med dvd-afspiller og et dvd-bibliotek. Køkkenet er fuldt udstyret med et køleskab med fuld størrelse, ovn og kogeplade, mikroovn og køkkentøj.

The good: The communication was great after I reserved the property which made me feel good about reserving online. The location was great for our needs as well which is a big part of why I chose it. The kitchen was well equipped if you need one and it had a full size fridge which was nice.The not so good: The property itself was just ok. I thought the pictures made it seem more updated than it actually was. The ceiling fan was completely covered in thick dust that made me think it was just a “ quick surface clean” kinda place which I don’t love. The floor had some sticky spots on it and the walls had stains. I was a bit disappointed in the fact that it wasn’t really that clean and was a 4pm check in time due to housekeeping. The location was good for our needs, but I would have liked a cleaner space to stay the night, not just for the cost but to feel comfortable sleeping in. We only stayed one night here.

Simple but adequate

Clean, close to city center, and all the basics that you need. My only issue during the stay was the living room TV - remote controls do not match equipment or the provided instructions. Management and I were not able to change the aspect ratio (picture cut off) and could not change input from cable to DVD.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Only issue was with TV in the main room. Remotes didn't match up with equipment or instructions.The picture on the TV didn't fit the screen either. one light on the Murphy bed was not working. This was the second year my brother and I have been to the to Sea Gypsy and most definitely will be back next year! Thanks so much!

We always enjoy our stay at the Sea Gypsy. A number of times for our anniversaries we have stayed in "Shore Thing" but it was booked this year. So this year we booked "Shell in a Handbasket". Kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. The living room couch and chairs are looking pretty worn and aren't very comfortable. Also the lighting in the living room was inadequate. Directions for the TV clickers are out of date and it was a bit frustrating. The bright side was we found under one of the bathroom cupboards a new floor lamp that hadn't been assembled yet so we put it together, found a couple light bulbs and it made all the difference!!

We will definitely stay at Sea Gypsy again! Nice and easy access to the beach and the unit was clean and comfy with an amazing view of the ocean. We also liked how we were left alone but the staff was helpful and friendly when we did talk to them.

Shell in a handbasket

We had a great time on the Oregon coast! Shell in a handbasket was beautifully done, with lots of room for sleeping. There were only two of us, but it would have worked for more. Very clean and cute!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel! Thank you! The hotel has ideal access to the beach and it was pretty quiet at night so we were able to rest very well! The staff is really nice but we think the hotel needs to be remodeled. The carpets in the room need to be replaced and we would have loved for the kitchen to have a dishwasher. Also the beds and all couches and sofas need to be replaced. The pool is nice but it needs to be cleaned more often. Thank you again!

Right on the beach

I had a very relaxing time at shell in a Handbasket and would absolutely stay again! It was very clean and the beds were comfortable!

We have stayed in this particular condo 6 times. It is clean, well-stocked with linens, cooking utensils, dishes. GORGEOUS view of the ocean right out the big window! Lots of rain this time but when the sunbreaks came, we hit the beach to walk. Nice people to deal with in the office.

The view + cleanliness, impeccable!

When we first arrived we walked into the smell of clean fresh air with a view that will make you not want to leave. Showers and everything were very clean. We noticed that the microwave is a bit finicky and may have to push button a few times before it’ll work. Amazing stay, we’ll definitely stay again!

Beautiful location to wish we hope to return

Absolutely lovely spot. Simple place with no fancy frills, but perfectly adequate for our needs and desires. We especially liked that the windows to the water were clean and could be opened wide to fully enjoy the view. The bathrooms were perfect and clean. Beds were fine. We had very noisy people walking to and from their lodging outside the bedroom and talking loudly on the phone at 3 am. This was the carelessness and rudeness of guests. We simply decided to sleep on the bed in the living room the next two nights and were not bothered in the least. Our only actual complaint is the state of the ceasy chairs and couch and some dishes. The furniture is so dirty we put blankets over them. Perhaps they are just stained and have been cleaned, but it looks like time for replacing them. Many dishes in the cupboards needed to be given a scrub before using. Clearly the previous guest was not a careful cleaner. All in all, we did have a beautiful few days! We hope to return at some point in the future! We might try a different unit just because of the furniture. It was not uncomfortable just unpleasant. Again, the view could not be beat and everything went smoothly!

Perfect Place!

10 steps to ocean! We have stayed at Sea Gypsy several times. Best place ever. She'll in a Handbasket was perfect! Just one thing. The bed pillows need changed. Atrocious! Love Lincoln City.

We love the Sea Gypsy so much, this is our third year going there. We can't think of any other beach gig that is so lovely, so accommodating, so quiet, and such a great location. Everything is close by in the cute little town. Kyllo's is right next store which couldn't be better!

Great room

The condo was exactly what my family needed! Very clean and the view was amazing! We loved hearing the ocean waves in the evenings. The building itself felt a bit old and the balcony felt a little unstable in areas but nothing that would prevent me from renting again.

The beach …

This property was exactly how it was pictured on vrbo. Had a little issue with the hot water - not hot enough. Wish there had been an elevator but we got good workouts. First time in the area and the beaches are beautiful - the wind, not so much. Would definitely come back to the Sea Gypsy and Shell in a Handbasket again.

Condo is fine. Mgmt took the score down

Condo is dated for sure, but very adequate. Having 2 bathrooms was great! A lamp & clock didn't work. We told them. They did not make any attempt to fix them. Don't get me wrong. The condo, #304, was clean & well stocked. The check-in people ( before they had our money) were very nice, cheerful and polite. Your contract requires you to wash, dry & put away your dishes before you leave, which is fine. However, the morning of the 10th there was no hot water. No hot shower & I had to heat water on the range to wash the dishes. When we (& other guests) asked for a partial refund, or an allowance on another stay, mgmt absolutely refused. Said 'there was plenty of hot water' when they checked. There was none ever that morning! Said the water was off for 'a minimal amount of time. ' It was never on at all. Said they weren't responsible for the boilers. When asked who we could talk to, claimed they didn't know. We paid a lot of money for the conveniences of a condo. If we wanted cold showers & to wash our dishes in cold water, we could have camped on the beach! Even after the inconvenience of no hot water we might possibly have stayed another time if they had had any respect, or concern for customer service. But once they had our money they did not show any respect for any of us--we were not the only people who had an issue with having no hot water--and they took no responsibility. We were just tough out of luck. We do not recommend them for that reason. And if they put some honey-sweet response below here for us to call them, etc. Don't believe it. We went into their office IN PERSON & wasted our valuable time. If they want to make it right, they have our billing info & can adjust it without talking. They know this review is true.

Love the Sea Gypsy!!!

This was the perfect rental for our family!! Right on the beach, lovely salt water pool, well-appointed kitchen. We’ll be back for sure!!

On the Beach

The SeaGypsy is right on the beach with a great view and beach access. This is our second stay at the SeaGypsy. You can really hear your neighbors through thin walls, always bring earplugs for a good night sleep. Unit 304 has great wifi, and everything you need for good beach vacation. The unit could use a few updates: new mattress for murphy bed (mattress topper made the bed tolerable), carpet repair, and new furniture. Unit 304 is just not as updated and kitchen is not as well stocked as the previous unit we stayed in.

Our stay at Unit 304

We have stayed in this unit around 6 times or so and LOVE the view and the CLEAN windows! It is maintained well and has most of anything a person would need. The ONLY problem with this unit is the TV. We wanted to watch a movie one evening from the selection in the basket but were unable to get the DVD to work in the front room. We tried to follow the instructions in the unit booklet but still didn't work. The instructions do not have the coinciding names on the any of the 3 controllers so didn't make sense how get the DVR to work. We did try to call the office and ask if anyone there could walk us through it but no answer, it was around 7:30 PM. In regards to the parking lot, we did notice people drive in their cars, park and get out fully dressed for the beach, making it a little more difficult finding a parking space. Perhaps, it would be an idea, that once you use the code and enter your room, that there would be a placard to place in your car, showing that you indeed belong in that parking lot. Don't know if this would cause problems for you in dealing with the public but just thought we would throw that suggestion in there for consideration. Other than those 2 minor problems, we really enjoy our stay at Sea Gypsy Rentals!!!! PS. We happen to hit the PERFECT week, sunny, very warm temperatures and little wind!!!!!! Ron & Sherry
