Vores hus, 2 gader fra Central Park, har en stor stue / spisestue, et hyggeligt bibliotek og et fuldt udstyret køkken. Alle fire soveværelser åbner ind i haver. Vaskemaskine, værktøjer (internet, kabel, elektricitet, vand, gas), gartner to gange om ugen og stuepige tre gange om ugen er inkluderet. Tagterrassen har smuk udsigt over bjergene. Huset i en etage er smagfuldt indrettet i koloniale og maya-stilarter. Badeværelserne er nyrenoveret. Der er sikker indendørs parkering, selvom man ikke har brug for en bil, medmindre man går på udflugter ud af byen. Huset ligger kun få skridt fra gode restauranter, butikker og delikatesseforretninger.

The location was wonderful and would stay here again. It was not far from anything we wanted to do. I would have liked cotton sheets instead of polyester because polyester sheets makes me hot. The house needs more lighting in my opinion but the house was very spacious. The house says it has 4 bedrooms and it does but my family would not want to share a bathroom.there were 2 couples in the house and it worked great. One of the bathrooms had more water pressure than ours had and we had luke warm showers in the master. All this said, I would stay there again. The location, the property manager was wonderful, and the courtyard setting was great.

Beautiful Colonial House in the middle of town.

We loved our visit to Antigua, the house is a gem. The city is very tourist friendly with great restaurants and lots to see and do. We would love to come back and stay longer, the sooner the better.

Lovely colonial house

Beautiful location just minutes from Central Park!

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home that is spacious, comfortable, and perfectly located near the city center. The host was friendly and welcoming, and the house service was great. Highly recommend!

We stayed at this property in the heart of historic Antigua with dear friends in December of 2024 & again in December of 2025. There were 4 of us, but the property can easily sleep 7. The hacienda is just beautiful, with its expansive portal, lush gardens & rooftop views of Volcán de Agua & the surrounding cityscape. Situated little more than 2 blocks to Parque Central, Antigua’s massive central plaza with its beautiful trees, central fountain & loads of “local color”! The hacienda is located within short walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Antigua, numerous magnificent museums & of course amazing 16th-, 17th- & 18th-century ruins literally everywhere you look! Antigua is a photographers dream!! We never rent a car when in Antigua, because this property is so centrally located to everything we want to see & do. And if you do want to explore beyond the central part of the city, Uber is readily available, as well as private drivers to provide transportation for day-trips beyond the City. This charming, historical Colonial Spanish property is exactly as listed - no surprises and with a washer & “new” dryer, you can pack light for your vacation to one of Central America’s most beautiful cities! Both the property owner & the “local” property manager are wonderful & very accommodating. The housekeeper & gardener, who you will meet during your stay are lovely, as well! You won’t be disappointed!! You’re going to love this property!

Location, location, location

This gem of a home right in the center of Antigua, is close to many restaurants, beautiful colonial buildings and the stunning La Merced Church. It is also extremely quiet with a gorgeous main garden and two small ones. The beds were comfortable and there was excellent water pressure. House manager, Elma was wonderful as were Clara, the part-time housekeeper, and Felipe, the gardener.

Casa Chicap is a Treasure!

Our stay at Casa Chicap was magical. The pictures on the listing were beautiful, but it wasn't until I walked into the courtyard the first day that I realized what a gem we had found. There are wonderful restaurants, cafes and bakeries in the surrounding area. Everything is walkable and the location of the house can't be beat. We hope to return sooner than later! Thank you!

Beautiful historical home in the center of town

Gorgeous old hacienda style home, just two blocks from the main plaza. It felt like visiting g someone at their home. It’s a very old house, so don’t expect modern but it has everything and the gardens are just beautiful

Perfect house in Antigua

The house has the perfect location in Antigua to attend the Semana Santa festivities. Awesome views of the agua volcano on the perfectly manicured inside garden. Elma (house manager) was always available and made the process seem less. House was clean and Clarita (housekeeper) did an excellent job cleaning as well.

Beautiful classical colonial home

We loved our stay at Casa Chicap! The home is a beautiful old colonial style, with thoughtful decor and accents. With the age of the home, the kitchen is quite small and doesn’t have updated appliances, but no matter. We did notice some creepy crawlers, likely due to the indoor/outdoor living. We absolutely loved the central courtyard. Also, we stayed here to celebrate holidays and found it to be a wonderful location to visit all the spots around beautiful Antigua! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic colonial home.

Gorgeous traditional colonial home

Your jaw will drop when you enter. So beautiful. House manager (upon arrival and as needed), housekeeper (3x per week), and gardener (2x per week) were all great. We loved the home and the location and hope to return. Read the description of bathrooms carefully — our guests in the garden room used the half-bath in the garden and the full bath in the zaguán room, which was fortunately unoccupied and in any case would have a lot of street noise.

Colonial Spanish Hacienda in the Heart of Antigua

Fabulous historic Colonial Spanish hacienda little more than 2 blocks from the beautiful Parque Central. You’ll find this exceptional property exactly as advertised, from its spacious living areas to its comfortable portal and beautifully maintained courtyard and gardens in full bloom. We were a party of 4 (2 couples), but the property easily and comfortably accommodates at least 6 with its 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Walking distance to museums, historic churches, amazing ruins, exceptional restaurants, coffee shops & fun bars and breweries. Owner, Bobbie & property manager, Elma are readily available to answer questions & provide information. Check-in was a breeze. All of beautiful, historic Antigua is literally steps from this fabulous property! Already anticipating our stay at this beautiful property again next year!

Large home, well cared for and very central location

This is a BIG house. The living area alone is as big as an apartment. Plus the 4 bedrooms, kitchen, study, courtyard and all the other outdoor space... there is plenty of room. We had a lovely stay and would stay again when we want to be centrally located and have several people traveling together. The owner was quite helpful, as was the local property manager and housekeeper when needed. Beds were comfortable, the home was secure and the furnishings were lovely and classic. Thanks again for a great time!

home away from home

This is our second time staying with Roberta and we can't wait to come back next year. Everyone is extremely accommodating. helpful, kind, friendly, and they go above and beyond. The property is amazing. Location is perfect and close to everything. We love the authenticity of the house. It has so much character. This is truly a home away from home for us. The city lost power during our stay this time and Roberta and Elma went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. This is my most favorite VRBO I've ever stayed in. I highly recommend for its safety, location, and feeling of having your own home. We are already planning our next trip back.

One week stay

Location is awesome, house is large and virtually original, grounds and gardens are very nice. For 2 couples the house and arrangements were just fine. House could use some maintenance, some lights not working, fresh paint and minor repairs. Likely Due to age house had a musty odor. Most furnishings are antiques and very special. Comfortable as well. We had very hot days and more substantial fans or ceiling fans would have made a big difference for comfort. Overall cannot beat location and easy to deal with manager. House was well priced but I would not categorize it as luxury for reasons noted.

Dream house

We booked this house in early summer for a December stay, so we had a long time to dream about it. It was everything we had hoped for. A special benefit was that, although we planned the trip for only 4 family members, because that left us with an extra room in the house, our son also came down for the first weekend. Location, location! It is on a busy street, but not very noisy, it is a refuge. Being a couple blocks from the Parque Central was a real benefit, there's always something going on there and around there. It is very clean, it was a delight having Clara come to clean and she also did some laundry for us. We admired the photos showing the fires in the fireplaces, but when we arrived it didn't seem likely for us, since the weather was too mild. Then after a few days, the weather turned cooler and we spent a couple lovely evenings in the sala with a warm fire, playing games and watching NCAA Women's volleyball playoffs.

Central location, wonderful and charming house. attentive owner and managers

We had a great time in Antigua and felt right at home at Casa Chicap. The courtyard was absolutely beautiful - it was a nice place for my littles to run around in. It was so nice to have our meals right out on the breezeway by the courtyard. It was very spacious - enough room for our family of eight, and some overnight guests here and there during our 11-day stay. The location is so central, we were out and about just about every day. It is one block from the best bakery (Dona Luisa) so we had fresh bread daily, and less than a block from a convenient little store (Epicure) for produce, deli, and easy to cook meals. It is two blocks from the Central Park! The owner and managers were very attentive. Bobbie, the owner, gave me a lot of tips before we even got there. They answered questions about trips we wanted to take. Elma gave us a lot of tips when we got there. Bobbie and Irma quickly took care of small little problems we had in the beginning (a nest of bees that was exterminated and a hot water heater that went out during a storm). The house cleaner Veronica and gardener Miguel were both very sweet and helpful. We enjoyed living in Casa Chicap. Thank you Bobbie!

A truly "home away from home"

What can I say?.... This house in Antigua truly became “our home away from home.” Everything the owner said in the VRBO information about this house in Antigua is perfect. It was EVERYTHING a person or family or group could ask for… everything works well… the lights, the water heater, the stove, the refrigerator, the washing machine, the house telephone, the fountain, and more... the inner garden, the rooftop and its magnificent view of the volcano, and the able staff: the house manager - very kind, professional and able. WOW! … the house is the best! -- I can say this without a doubt since I have been going to Guatemala and to to Antigua for over 15 years. I'd like to highlight a few things (and there are many) that are so special to us: the garden, the fountain, and, of course, the hot water, the wifi, the rooftop, the plants and flowers, and the location --- its perfect!!! My friends who visited us (from the city) were so impressed - they are even interested in renting in the future. Again, what can I say --- it's a beautiful house with a perfect location. I hope that if I have a need in the future to stay longer again in Antigua that I will be able to return to Casa Chicap which became “our home” for 6 weeks. Thank you!

Sabbatical in paradise

We spent 3. 5 weeks at the house and had an unbelievable time from start to finish. Bobbie made sure information was available for every step of the way and from helping us arrange transport from the airport to the house to fine tuning needs while we were there - she was an unbelievable host from afar and Irma (realtor) helped with details on the fly. The house is crazy great - we have 3 kids -they all decided to stay in one room for most of the trip. The front room which is close to the road is a little noisy but we were blessed by some road construction in front of the house for 2 weeks - so there was limited traffic. The location was awesome for us - just 4 blocks from our the Christian Spanish Academy (which is an awesome language school) and 2 blocks from the square - easy to get anywhere (including market, coffee shops, restaurants and supermarket). Kitchen and bathrooms were great. Lemon tree was to die for (fresh juice) and the bananas were unbelievable. We used Old Town Outfitters routinely (with reference by Bobbie) - if you ride bikes - bring some clothes/shoes and prepare for great mountain biking. Miguel, Clara and Patrice were highlights of our stay - the kids loved working with Miguel and Clara and Patrice do a great job cleaning everything. Not enough time or space to include how great and peaceful this trip was for our family. Thanks to Bobbie! we hope to return soon! B.A.N.G.O. Jarman

Wonderful Experience

The house was an old colonial property, beautiful gardens, with a view of Fuego, the active volcano. There are many shops and good restaurants close by. Sergio, recommended by the owner, was an excellent chauffeur, and took us to sights outside the city.

Absolutely Beautiful!

I can’t tell you how much this trip meant to my family, especially my daughter, who was born in Guatemala. This was our first trip back after I adopted her, 17 years ago. Your home is an oasis. We will be back next year! The rest of my family was jealous so we’re bringing them too! Thank you again, Bobbi, for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. See you next summer!
