Trullo Falco er en traditionel puglian sten karakteristisk trullo / villa, der har sin egen private pool og er blevet omhyggeligt renoveret til vores egne krævende standarder. Vi valgte at bruge lokale håndværkerbyggere til at bevare de oprindelige gamle trullo-funktioner, men vi ville også tilføje alle de moderne bekvemmeligheder, du ville forvente af et luksuriøst feriehus. Det tilbyder nu 3 soveværelser hver med eget privat badeværelse, kalksten gulvfliser overalt, generøse indendørs boligareal og ekstern madlavning, spisestue og opholdssteder for at nyde det bedste af udendørs levende.
Trullo Falco har en fantastisk høj beliggenhed i bakkerne over Fasano i den lille landsby Laureto. Udsigten fra terrasserne, poolen og haverne, der omgiver huset, er simpelthen fantastisk. Det er inden for rækkevidde af de stilfulde bakketoppene i Valle d'Itria, såsom Locorotondo, Cisternino og Alberrobello, og kun 10 minutter fra Adriaterhavets strande.
Alle 3 værelses suiter (Peregrine, Saker og Gyr) er meget individuelle og er beliggende ud for den generøst store hovedboliger, hvoraf to har deres egen indre korridor og giver et yderligere niveau af privatliv. Den største panoramaterrasse, der ligger straks fra hovedboligen og køkkenet, fører direkte til et eksternt madlavningsområde med pizzaovn og er indrettet til mindeværdige middage under Puglian-stjernerne. Poolen på 8m x 4m ligger lige under hovedterrasserne foran huset og har en sikkerhedsport, der gør den perfekt til familier og børn. Spredt omkring grunde blandt oliven, figner, kirsebær og citrus træer, er en række bænke og stole tilbyder en bred vifte af idylliske steder at slappe af, læse, nyde forfriskninger eller bare tage den storslåede udsigt.

Internt er de bløde møbler af høj standard, da ejerne har en stærk flair for indretning.

Vi har gået den ekstra mile med ting som sengetøj i egyptisk bomuld og hukommelseskummadrasser i hvert soveværelse og selvfølgelig gratis WI-FI til rådighed i hele huset samt et SMART-tv, der giver adgang til tusindvis af verdensomspændende tv-kanaler, herunder alle britiske kanaler plus NETFLIX.

Eksternt er der en nybygget pool plus omfattende udendørs madlavning faciliteter, herunder en ny træ fyret Pizza ovn, mad prep område, vask plus BBQ. Hvem vil lave mad inde i de varme sommermåneder!

Villaen er perfekt beliggende enten for familier eller grupper på op til 6 personer, der er kun 5 minutters kørsel fra Zoo safari & Acqua-parken, for golfspillere er SAN Domenica verdensklasse golfbane kun 20 minutter væk og for vandrere er der en omfattende liste over fabelagtige godt markerede vandreture i nærheden og selvfølgelig for enhver smag er der de nærliggende strande for de dovne dage ved stranden og krystalblå havet kun 20 minutter væk.

Thank you Jon and Laura for a wonderful week in your amazing villa! The home is beautifully decorated with unique furnishings and attention to detail that made us feel right at home. This is truly the best rental I’ve ever stayed in! The location was perfectly situated between all the unique towns in the area. Our hosts provided detailed information on each town and importantly where to park. A glass of local wine and beautiful sunsets every night sitting by the pool was spectacular. One of the highlights was booking the in villa dinning. Great food and service from the Chef.

Exceptional Pugliese vacation house

The house and surroundings were beautiful - a perfect place for our family of 3 couples to spend a special vacation for a week. The hosts, Laura and Jon were responsive and welcoming and wonderful to work with in arranging things beforehand. The property shows their love of it and their thoughtful care.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful villa!

We had a wonderful stay at this great villa, beautiful inside and outside. Well furbished, with everything you need, great beds, and plenty of room for 6 adults. Very friendly and helpful owners. Outdoor kitchen is great, we had a very nice pizza dinner prepared by professional pizza chefs. Great location, fantastic view, close to all major sights and landmarks. Highly recommended!

Fantastic place to stay

We stayed here in September 2024 as a group of 4 adults plus our baby son. Trullo Falco was an exceptional place to stay. Everything in the property has been designed to ensure maximum comfort and enjoyment (such as fully stocked kitchen, numerous outside seating areas, three ensuite bathrooms). Jon and Laura were fantastic hosts who were always responsive whenever we had questions or requests. We would thoroughly recommend staying at Trullo Falco and are already talking about when we can go back!

Perfection!

Our stay here was the highlight of our 3 week vacation. John and Laura could not have been more hospitable. They gave wonderful suggestions for dinner, the beach and olive oil tasting. The house was beautifully furnished, comfortable and extremely clean. I highly recommend their villa. Thanks for a memorable week!

We had the most fantastic stay at this stunning trullo and truly could not have chosen a better place to spend the week of our wedding. The location was perfect, with easy access to all the local sightseeing spots and charming nearby towns.The trullo itself was exceptionally well equipped — every detail had clearly been thoughtfully considered. We especially appreciated touches like the laundry basket tucked away in the cupboards and the excellent washing machine. The pool was beautifully maintained, wonderfully refreshing during a particularly hot week, and quickly became one of our favourite places to relax.Some of our highlights included watching the breathtaking sunsets from the many seating areas around the property, making full use of the outdoor kitchen, and experiencing the warmth and responsiveness of the incredibly welcoming hosts, who made our stay feel truly special.Our only regret was running out of time to use the outdoor pizza oven — but that simply gives us another reason to return, which we absolutely plan to do.A genuine 10/10 experience. We will be recommending this beautiful place to all our friends and family.

Perfect blend of sunshine, location, amenities and comfort!

The house, patios and pool were ideal for our friend group to spend a week catching up, exploring towns, visiting the seaside, and soaking up the culture and sun. The large space meant that we weren't on top of each other and could relax and then enjoy meals, cocktails and the pool together. The house is within an hour drive to so many of the places we had on our list and the kind hosts added a helpful list of special local restaurants and places to visit! The home cooked meal available on our first night fed us for days! Delightful!

FANTASTIC!!!!!!

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at Trullo Falco and we couldn't recommend it more! The property is extremely clean, beautifully decorated and well appointed. Jon and Laura are fabulous hosts and we truly enjoyed meeting them. We highly recommend scheduling a dinner and pizza with Lucretia. She is lovely and her food is delicious. We also recommend pasta making at nearby Casale Ruggerio and wine tasting at I Pastini. Polignano a Mare is also a must see - rent a boat! Such a great experience from beginning to end. Thanks again Laura and Jon!!!

Very nice house in Puglia

The four of us stayed at Trullo from June 15th to 22nd, 2024. The house was indeed very nice, even better than the pictures on VRBO. Upon arrival, everything was spotless and fully functional. The house has been completely renovated with great attention to detail and is truly stunning. The hosts were very nice and helpful, offering suggestions on things to do in the region and recommending beaches to visit. There is also a guide to the charming villages around the house, which we visited during our stay. The weather was hot, so we made good use of the patio and the swimming pool. Although the pool is not heated, it was warm due to the high temperatures of 36 to 38°C and sunny skies.

A Superb and Well Positioned Trulli in Puglia

What a superb Trulli! With a 180 degree south facing terrace and views over the Itria Valley, this property is outstanding in every aspect. What better way to spend an evening with fabulous sunsets from the terrace, pool and BBQ. The large pool also enjoys the same idyllic views across the valley. The interior is spacious, cool and beautifully furnished, with comfortable beds and contemporary bathrooms. There is a well-equipped kitchen with more than you would ever need on any holiday! This property is well positioned for exploring the Puglia region, and is in close proximity to Alberobella, Martina Franca, Locorotondo, with Ostuni and Lecce within easy travelling distance (train access also very good). Jon & Laura are extremely kind & helpful hosts, giving lots of thought to their incoming guests. They are easily contactable for help and advise on the local area - nothing is too much trouble

Trullo Falco is a gem!

A fabulous stay in this lovely house! It could not have been more comfortable and well equipped. 3 lovely bedrooms all very private. The house is super stylish but simple and comfortable. Spacious communal area offering comfy sofas and a large dining area. Lots of outdoor space offering stunning views. A variety of seating areas - both shaded & sunny - around the pool and amongst the very extensive and surrounding gardens all beautifully landscaped and planted by Jon. In early June these were a beautiful mix of wild fragrant flowers. Jon & Laura are perfect hosts. Living nearby they are ‘on call’ and very friendly but also very conscious of our privacy. We must also mention Lucretzia and her supply of delicious Italian meals. She is such fun! A great location in a relatively rural area yet minutes from a great cafe and a short drive to a well stocked supermarket. Also well placed for local sightseeing. Short drives to the many pretty historic towns & various vineyards. We recommend the e-bike tour with lunch for a great day out. We cannot recommend Trullo Falco more highly. We look forward to returning soon!

Perfect Puglia!

Trullo Falco is a beautiful, very private villa situated at the top of a small valley near Fasano. The area is a short drive from the sea and surrounded by beautiful Puglian towns and villages. There's even a small theme park, Fasanoland, a 15 minute drive away. We finally gave in to the 14 year old and were delighted to discover that there were no queues first thing in the morning and we were in and out in a couple of hours - parental Brownie points all round! With 3 large ensuite double rooms, the villa was spacious and incredibly well equipped with absolutely everything we needed. The outside space was perfect. The dining area, pool and fantastic outdoor kitchen (BBQ, pizza oven, hob AND a fridge!) are all conveniently near to each other while a separate outdoor lounge area was perfect for relaxing with a drink in the evening. There are lots of different, secluded spaces in the garden where you can split off into smaller groups to sit if you wish. The views from the villa are fantastic. Every evening we watched stunning sunsets across the valley either from the terrace or even better, from the pool! Throughout the process, Jon and Laura were available with information about the villa and were in contact the day before check in with directions and tips to help us on the journey. The whole family (including a 14 and 17 year old) had a fantastic holiday and we thoroughly recommend Trullo Falco.

Fantastic house

Dieses Haus ist mit so viel Liebe zum Detail im Innen- und Aussenbereich gestaltet, dass es eine große Freude war, eine Woche darin zu verbringen. Wir haben es sehr genossen und Apulien erkundet.

Puglia stay

Lovely property with fantastic pool, terraces and views over the valley. Comfortable inside space for relaxing of an evening and well equipped if you want to occasionally eat at home. A beautiful renovation with original features and new touches elegantly combined. Some interesting towns and beaches in easy reach, we would especially recommend Matera for a day trip and Alberebello with its trullis’ for an evening wander and glass of the local wine. Thanks to our kind hosts for a great stay.

Trullo Falco

We had a lovely holiday in Puglia and stay at Trullo Falco. The villa is decorated beautifully throughout, and the outside areas are too. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen area, pizza oven and grill (though we could have done with a bit more wood for the oven) We loved the pool area and the different loungers and seat options around the gardens. Lovely terraces to sit at and we enjoyed breakfast at the outdoor dining table every day and the beautiful sunsets at night. We had a few niggles, but Jon and Laura were always on hand to try and sort any problems out. The guide they leave is extremely helpful and their advice on what’s app and in person too, was of great help. they are lovely people and hosts. The villa is situated in a good location for visiting many of the pretty and architecturally pleasing towns and villages. Though you do need a car to explore and eat out really. I was surprised when we arrived that it is in close proximity to other houses and villas, as it didn’t appear to be in the pictures-but it is designed in a way, so you are not overlooked by anyone and you feel in total privacy, which was perfect for us as a family. We would definitely recommend a stay at Trullo Falco and a holiday in Puglia.

Wonderful stay at Trullo Falco

We spent two weeks at Trullo Falco and had a fabulous family holiday. The Villa is in a great location, about 7 mins from beautiful Locorotondo and within 20 mins of picturesque towns, beaches, and a great water park, all an easy drive away. The Villa itself has everything for a great stay, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. We spent most of our time in the fabulous pool deck area. Jon and Laura were great hosts, providing very helpful information, useful in helping us plan our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend

We stayed at this beautiful villa with a family of 6 adults and one baby, and had a perfect stay! The location is perfect to explore the stunning local towns, and the villa is gorgeous with everything you could possibly need. The hosts Laura and Jon were wonderful and always there to help with anything we might need! Would definitely recommend and hope to go back again ourselves.

Unparalleled

Trullo Falco is second to none. The pictures are spectacular, but the home and grounds are even better in person. Jon and Laura have considered every detail to make this place both comfortable and beautiful - from the furnishings to the bed linens to the well-stocked kitchen and landscaping (oh my-it’s unreal!). We didn’t want to leave. We took advantage of the extra services offered, and Lucrezia prepared two divine meals for us; what a treat. The home is centrally located for exploring, and Jon and Laura are wonderful hosts. The best VRBO we’ve ever rented, and we won’t think twice about returning.

Einfach perfekt!

Ein wunderschön gelegenes, stilvoll eingerichtetes Urlaubsrefugium und ideal gelegen, um die schönsten Orte in Apulien zu erkunden. In echt wirkt die Anlage sogar noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Jon und Laura waren perfekte Vermieter und sehr hilfsbereit.

September week at Trullo Falco

This is a delightful trullo in the rolling hills of Puglia with great views across a valley of olive groves. Jon and Laura are fabulous hosts who met us on arrival and showed us around the beautiful property and gave us invaluable advice on the best places to see and eat our in the area. They had also sent us excellent information in advance and stayed in touch up to arrival. The house and gardens are beautifully designed and maintained and make for a really relaxing and enjoyable place to enjoy Puglia. It is ideally located near to places of interest. Jon and Laura could not have been more helpful throughout our very enjoyable stay.

Soggiorno tra mare e cultura

Il trullo è stato sapientemente ristrutturato nel rispetto della natura circostante. Risulta dotato di ogni comfort e curato in tutti gli aspetti. Trullo Falco is owned and run by Jon Gourlay and Laura Lapadula (husband and wife team). Both from Scotland, they met when Laura was nursing and Jon was a gardener at the local hospital. They both share a love of nature, and being outdoors particularly when the sun is shining with Jessie their Border Collie. Laura’s interests include restoring old items of furniture and interior design (which is evident around the Trullo), whilst Jon is a keen gardener, falconer and owner of Sisco his Harris Hawk.

We initially bought the Trullo as a holiday home and future retirement option for ourselves in 2008. It was in a real mess at the time but we saw its potential and in particular, its peaceful setting, elevated views and great proximity to the local hilltop towns and beaches sold it to us.
However, the attraction for buying in Puglia extended beyond the house. Laura’s father is Italian and from this region. As a child she travelled every summer from Scotland to Italy with her parents and 3 sisters (by car!) and has warm memories of spending family summer holidays there. She is therefore very familiar with the local area and customs.
In the years that followed we used local tradesmen to carry out essential works on the house to make it comfortable for us to stay in and also started some restoration work to reveal the true beauty of the building such as revealing the original stone both inside and outside the Trullo and attached “Lamia” rooms (originally used for keeping cattle).
We came out on holiday as often as we could, but on each occasion, we found it more and more difficult to leave. We use the term “holiday” loosely, as on each visit we spent cleaning up after various stages of work had been completed, and working on our garden and land which had become overgrown with years of no-one living there, as well as olive and fruit trees that desperately needed pruning and brought back to life. But to us it was still a holiday as it somehow brought us both back to nature, something that we are both passionate about.
It was then we realised and made the decision to plan for a permanent move to Puglia. Our Trullo provided us with an opportunity of making this happen, so we contacted a local architect in 2015 to develop our Trullo as a luxury holiday rental.

This villa is beautifully curated and decorated inside as well as outside. Internally, vaulted and conical ceilings feature, typical of traditional trullo architecture and there is a cool mix of contemporary and vintage decorative furnishings that dress up the organic, low-key interior in neutral tones of sand, bone and white. Textiles and furniture tend toward the natural and tactile, with stone, wood, and fibres as the dominant elements.
Externally, the multiple living spaces also set this home apart, providing ample selection of zones for sunning, reading, resting or entertaining. In particular the fully equipped external stone kitchen which overlooks the pool and breathtaking elevated views is a real show-stopper, particularly at sunset
