The apartment Is Located at the 1st floor.At the Exit the building you are in the centre of the most popular area of the city for its characteristic qualities and history, rich with all types of restaurants, artisans, the famous Vivoli caffe and gelateria (the best in Florence) at 5 meters, butchers, bakers, small good stores, delicatessens, boutiques and all the treasures of the city. The apartment is close to museums, parking, bus stop, train etc. Piazza Santa Croce is famous for the it's reputation as one of Florence’s most beautiful Piazzas there is also the tombs of the famous artist Michelangelo and the poet Dante are in the church, behind which there are also beautiful gardens. The Piazza is surrounded by beautiful buildings dating back to the 12th Century, cafes and restaurants. It is a popular spot for the Florentines to relax in the sun on the stone benches and read a newspaper and for children to run chasing the pigeons across the Piazza.
The apartment has a living room with table and chairs, TV, radio, microwave, the kitchen fully equipped to cook, 4 burns, electric oven, fridge, disheswashing. There Is a little courty with a table and 2 chairs. There Are 2 bathrooms with shower, in one of them There Is the washing machine. There Is a bedroom with doublebed and a living room with table and armchairs.

Traditional Florentine appartment near Santa Croce

This is a spacious and quiet apartment, well equipped and extremely attractive. The owner, Maria Pia, is the perfect host. L'appartement est grand et bien situé, proche du centre de Florence mais un peu en retrait pour être au calme. Les 2 salles de bain se révèlent très utiles, et la clim est parfois nécessaire au moment des fortes chaleurs.

Santa Croce neighborhood

We wanted to stay closer to Santa Croce and a little off the beaten path. This apartment was lovely and convenient to several bus stops, as well as right around the corner from the piazza

A cozy and wonderful place.

The apartment was well decorated. The kitchen contained everything a chef could ask for. Spotless and well stocked. I would stay here again the next time I go to Florence.

A comfortable, central apartment

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in Maria's cosy apartment. It was extremely comfortable and was very well equipped. We would certainly recommend it. It is very secure and quiet and just one flight of stairs was not a problem, even with shopping. Markets and supermarkets are nearby as are many restaurants.

It is as described: large bedroom, two full baths, living room, dining area off the kitchen.

The owners could not have been nicer. Although our contacts were infrequent, they now seem like old friends. The apartment is well situated and most important sites are within ten or fifteen minutes on foot. A car in the town center would be an encumbrance. There is a supermarket close by, as well as a laundry and many good restaurants in the area. The train and bus stations are about a mile away. The big arts center is a bit farther than the train station. There is a washing machine in the apartment. The fridge has a small top freezer. I was alone, but appreciated the space. It would be perfect for a couple, and anyone who wants to explore Firenze in all directions. Things are not brand new, and the building is old, with some attendant problems. There is no elevator, but there is only one flight of stairs. If you want something absolutely pristine and new, stay at a hotel.

Lovely apartment in heart of Florence

This apartment was just perfect for us. Maria met us there and showed how everything worked and was so sweet. Very large apartment, Comfortable bed. Good WiFi. We loved how convenient it was to good restaurants and shopping. Perfectly clean with lots of nice touches. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Apartment in a Great Location

We loved this apartment! It is exactly as pictured. This is a spotless apartment with two bathrooms (both with a shower), 1 bedroom, and a sitting area with a pull-out sofa. Both rooms very good sizes. There were only two of us for most of the time (3 for 4 days) and it was the perfect size. I think it would work great for two couples or a small family! The kitchen had everything we needed to make any meal we wanted. Since we stayed for 3 weeks we cooked quite a bit, mostly breakfast, with no issues. There was a lot of room at the kitchen table for us. The location was perfect for us. About 15-20 minute walk to the train station, and very close to all attractions, but still very quiet at night so we didn't have any trouble sleeping. There is a nice grocery store just around the corner which was great. The air conditioning was perfect in the July heat! We used the washing machine a few times which was so nice to have. Maria was there to meet us when we arrived and showed us the features of the apartment. She is very kind and helpful - responded immediately before we left when we texted her about how to order a taxi for 4 am. If ever we are back we would stay here again. We definitely recommend this apartment!

Fantastic!

This apartment is perfect! The two bedrooms and baths are separate spaces, to allow privacy for two couples. The kitchen is well equipped and we loved making coffee and starting our day at the kitchen table. The location couldn't be better, close to the daily market and many great restaurants!! Tucked away in a real neighborhood but steps from Santa Croce. Maria Pia is lovely, responsive, and very professional. She thought of everything to make this apartment cozy and comfortable. We have stayed in 4 other apartments in Florence city center and this is by far our favorite!!

Un séjour de rêve !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Florence, une ville magnifique. L'appartement est idéalement situé pour visiter la ville dans de bonnes conditions. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par les propriétaires. L'appartement est très propre et très confortable avec tout ce qu'il faut pour être bien installé. Appartement très bien situé, à deux pas de l'église Santa Croce. Superette à 5 minutes. Parking avec parcmètre à 10 minutes à pieds, pour décharger les valises car entre 08h et 20h on ne peut pas rouler dans la ville. Il y a le parking "Parterre" à 35 minutes à pieds ou accessible en bus où on peut laisser son véhicule pour 10 euros le 1e jour, 15 euros le 2e et 20 euros le 3e; c'est le moins cher! Il y a plein de petits restaurants sympas autour de la place Santa Croce. l'appartement est très bien équipé, avec une machine à laver le linge; il y a une petite terrasse où on peut déjeuner à l'ombre. les propriétaires sont super accueillants et monsieur se débrouille en anglais. Ils sont de bon conseil. L'appartement correspond tout à fait à la description et est impeccablement propre. Si vous voulez visiter beaucoup de musées et d'églises + le parc Boboli, il faut acheter la Firenze Card à 72 euros pour 72 h à partir de la première validation; on s'y retrouve pour les prix, mais surtout, on évite des files parfois interminables. Si on revient à Florence, on retourne dans le même appartement! On peut y loger à 4, plus un fauteuil convertible pour une personne dans l'une des chambres. Attention, pour les personnes moins valides, il y a environ 20 marches d'escalier pour atteindre l'appartement.

GREAT FLAT, GREAT LOCATION

The first photo, with the Klimt print, got my attention. My correspondence with Maria Pia made me feel I'd made a good choice, as did my meeting her. Walkable from the train station. Simple yet appealing decor, flat very well-maintained. She was there to meet me, helped with my too heavy suitcase up the one flight, showed me around the flat, made some sightseeing suggestions and pointed them out on the map. And, she was flexible with my checking out a bit later than the 10:00 a.m. checkout. Great flat, especially with its having two full baths -- would be a great place for friends, a family, or two couples. Very near many of the main attractions, including the Duomo and Santa Croce (wasn't aware until I went there just how near it is to the latter ... and do walk along Borge Allegria and enter through the back, by way of the leather school -- an added bonus -- which also sells entry to the church), and not much further to others (Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio). Theatre nearby with different entertainments (I so enjoyed seeing "The Sound of Music" in Italian-!). And, being vegan, was most glad to find that the flat is very near two such restaurants -- Miso di Riso and Universo Vegano -- as well as a market with a small vegan section. I would definitely recommend this flat to family and friends, and would return when next returning to Firenze. Grazie!, Maria Pia.

Great location

Maria Pia went out of her way to help us when we were checking out, including buying us bus tickets when taxis were unavailable. The apartment was perfect for us, one couple plus a friend,. Italy trip with a life long friend

Great location as close to everything but not in an area of lots of tourists. Be aware that the apartment is on the third floor and no elevator. It was spacious and had everything the two of us needed. Walking distance to all the fabulous sites of Florence. Maria, our contact there, was at the apartment when we arrived by taxi from the train station. She explained everything to us and also was gracious enough to call a taxi for us on the morning we left Florence. No telephone in the apartment but WiFi was available. We were close to Santa Croce and visited that wonderful place along with so many others. Restaurants galore and supermarkets close by so eating was never a problem. Some noise at night but that can be expected in cities. Photos accurately reflected the apartment so plenty of room for two or more.

Nice apartment and great location!

We stayed in this apartment in May 2014 and had a wonderful time there. The location is excellent, only steps from the Santa Croce, but still far enough that there was little noise at night. No more than a 5 minute walk to the Duomo, 10 to the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Vecchio. The best part is that while you are still in the old centre of Florence, you are in the slightly less touristy part. The dining options in the immediate vicinity of the apartment, and also just across the Arno, were spectacular. My wife, two young children (6 and 8) and I were able to walk everywhere. We even were able to walk to the stadio Artemio Franchi for a Fiorentina game! The location of this apartment can't be beat. The apartment itself is large, comfortable and clean. And the layout, with the bedrooms on either side of the apartment, allows for a lot of privacy. Finally, Maria was a fantastic host. She met us at the apartment and thoroughly explained all aspects of it. She was also available by txt or email at any time if we needed her. All in all, it was a fantastic base to explore Florence. Thank you very much, Maria!!!

Great location, very comfortable

My friend and I stayed in the Borgo Allegri apartment (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is excellent -- quite close to the Sant' Ambrogio market and the Conad supermarket, and easy walking distance into the center of town. Lots of good restaurants nearby, too. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. It's on the first floor (2nd floor American), which was nice. I highly recommend it.

Excellent apartment in Florence!

We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at the Borgo Allegri apartment. It is in an excellent location with respect to tourist attractions, supermarket, restaurants, etc. The apartment is clean, beautifully decorated, and very well maintained. The owner, Maria Pia was very friendly and accommodating and very helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again and to recommend it to our friends. Abbiamo passato un bel soggiorno nell'appartamento Borgo Allegri. L'appartamento è pulito, ben arredato, e ben mantenuto, è vicino le attrazioni turistiche, il supermercato, e ristoranti.
