PRIVATE ESTATE ON PINK SAND BCH WITH PRIVATE POOL, WALK TO REST./BAR.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Owl's Roost!  You'll be glad to know that the owner has purchased new beach chairs : )  Come back soon.

We are so happy that you enjoyed our private retreat in paradise! We love it also!!

Thank you so much for your 2nd stay at Owl’s Roost!  We love it too!  We were there a week or 2 before you arrived.  We actually used the old, rusted lawn chairs because my husband had just had surgery and couldn’t sit in the short beach chairs (there are 6that are in the Trash Bin that was next to the old chairs).  We sat on the beach and commented that we should get the higher chairs and in fact, just asked the property manager to pick some up!  So you will have beach chairs for your next visit!   I’m sorry about the umbrella and the chaise lounge chairs, but most guests don’t realize how quickly the tides come up and how close to the stairs the water can get.  Some loungers have be left too close to the water and the ocean took them.  Almost the same with the umbrella.  There are very nice lounge chairs by the pool and are very comfortable!  I thank you for your time at Owl’s Roost!  Joy

Thank you Harrold for your fantastic review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed our piece of paradise! It is so very beautiful….Joy

We are so sorry about the beach access. It washed away in a storm. We have built a flight of stairs, so the beach access is back to normal now. We wish you had contacted us regarding the other issues. As you can see from our many five-star reviews, we have not had complaints about cleanliness before, but we would have been happy to send the housekeeper back in to clean for you. The property manager could have easily addressed the dishwasher and TV issues. The dishwasher apparently had something stuck in it, but it works fine. The TVs all work, but as noted in the welcome letter, you need to bring your own firestick. We have Starlink Wi-Fi, which is the best on the island. Regarding the master bedroom wall, a new AC unit had to be installed quickly. We now have the paint selected to repair the sheetrock. We agree with you that carpeting is not desirable on an island. We are in the process of replacing all the carpeting with natural stone.

We are delighted that you enjoyed Owl's Roost, but very sorry that you had so much trouble at ELH. We bring about 10000 people a year to the island through ELH, and most don't report a bad experience, so I don't think you'll always find it that way. Also, they are planning to upgrade the airport, so hopefully that will happen soon. American Airlines begins flights into GHB airport in February, so that will be another option.

We are very sorry to read this, and also puzzled. As you know, we acknowledged to you that the cleaners did not complete their work for your check in. However, when we proposed sending them back to complete the job, you texted, “No it's ok. I did a little cleaning yesterday and will again today. The bathrooms were mostly my issue.” And you also said, “This property is absolutely gorgeous!!!” We exchanged multiple messages with you on this topic, so we don’t understand your comment about a lack of responsiveness. Please see our many other five star reviews!
