Our 3rd visit to Crete. This is a lovely, air-conditioned apartment, set in a quiet traditional village in a beautiful part of Crete. The views from the patio are stunning. The facilities provided within the apartment, and outside, were all we needed for our 9 night stay. The bed is very comfortable and the pool is everything it looks, maintained at a constant 30 Deg C. Within 30 minutes travel is the lovely seaside resort of Kalyves. There are many golden, sandy, beaches within easy reach. Chania airport and city are about 30 minutes drive as is a Lidl store. There are local shops and chemists within a few minutes drive. I advise hiring a car, in order to get the best from your stay. The hosts, Kathie and Chris are lovely people! They are extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The advice that they gave us on the local area was really helpful. Thank you both, so much, for everything! Lovely apartment with great terrace overlooking the Venetian harbour. There is a spiral staircase leading to the terrace which is quite challenging for those with mobility problems, but worth the effort. The apartment is very well equipped and there was cleaning and linen change halfway through the week. Air conditioning is very efficient which was very welcome as the weather was very hot. I loved being so close to the harbour, watching all the activity, and the Old Town with its little narrow streets and tempting shops was just round the corner. I wish I was still there!

I've just returned from Crete after staying in the villa for a week. It had everything we needed and a few extras too, such as bottled water, fruit, homemade raki, herbs, spices, coffee, tea, honey etc. The outdoor area was great for lounging around, but the beach was even better, with a few sun loungers exclusive to the owner's properties. The views were spectacular. Checking in was a simple process and Alex gave us a tour of the property on arrival. The owner was very welcoming and kind to us during our stay. We often saw him around the area. We stayed here in the quieter season (October onwards) so the temperature was perfect (25 Celcius) and the area was much more peaceful. I highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful base with spectacular views and facilities. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and memorable.

Fantastic location for a stress free holiday for those who prefer not to drive whilst on holiday. A lovely quiet, safe neighbourhood within a few minutes walk of historical buildings, a huge variety of charming shops (including city shopping). The food was amazing, so much variety and very high quality with very memorable views and settings by the beautiful Venetian harbour. A couple of beaches close by and plenty of opportunity to have walks by the sea. So many cafes and restaurants to have a drink/lunch and laze away the afternoon. We enjoyed a charming carriage ride around Chania, as a huge animal lover it was lovely to see how well the horses are cared for by their proud owners and we wanted to support this. Our house felt like home for our 1 week stay, immaculately clean, brilliant use of space and beautiful interior decor. Maria and her husband were so helpful and a very tasty home cooked meal was much appreciated after a long day travelling. Brilliant !!

We had a lovely few days in this apartment. It is located in a very quiet alley in old town but within a few minutes walk of the bustling streets around the harbour. Nicole was excellent in communications online, giving us all the information we needed and Manoussos was a fantastic host on site. His relaxed, friendly manor and expert local knowledge really added to our trip. He couldn't have been more helpful, pointing us towards lots of things around the town that we wouldn't have noticed otherwise and helping us get the most out of our trip. The apartment has everything you need and expect with a lovely relaxed style. The table outside the door is a nice little bonus on a warm evening. There is a fantastic restaurant "The Well of the Turk" only 30 seconds walk away. We had a great meal there after arriving tired and hungry on our first night. The aparatment and hosts get five stars all round from us, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We had a wonderful time at Kera Green Villa. It is a beautiful, spacious villa that is well located and well equipped. On top of that, we enjoyed great contact with Vasiliki and her family. We highly recommend the villa and hope ourselves to stay again it the future. For the location: the walk into Kalyves was less than 1 km and took us just under 15 minutes (up a relatively steep track and down a steep backstreet on the other side). Almyrida was a little further. The villa is located in a quiet area, with only the distance sound of the waves and the family’s poultry clucking. There is very little road noise and no dogs barking (something we heard in another property we rented in Crete in the past). Finally on the location, it is a very short walk to the sea to swim (rocky beach). So top marks for location! For the villa: The photos are representative and we loved it! Despite good restaurants within walking distance in Kalyves and Almyrida, we spent several evenings in the property as the kitchen was well equipped and the views from the top floor where the dining area and lounge are good. We also connected our Netflix account to the TV to watch a film or two. There are also table and chairs by the pool so we had lunch there – the pool and bedrooms on the ground floor are connected to the kitchen/dining/lounge upstairs by an outdoors staircase. The pool is surrounded by olive trees, and pretty private with a deep side and a shallow side for children. The rental cost includes a cleaning fee: and indeed the property was regularly cleaned to a good standard, and the sheets and towels changed if you like. Vasiliki has prepared an excellent booklet of what you can see and do on Crete. We like being by the sea, so did easy day trips to Falassarna, Loutro (via Chora Skafia), Marathi and Stavros on the Akrotiri (we liked the beaches here – 40 minute drive), Chania, Rethymno, Balos Bay (from Kissamos). We’d visited Paleochora and Elafonisi last time but could have done these again in a day as well. Finally, Vasiliki and her family members were very hospital and helpful. They were close by so readily available (for example regularly checking the pool water quality) yet were discreet and gave us our privacy. A big thank you Vasiliki!

Really close to the airport but also to Chania. Very easy to walk the short cut to Sternes for those without a car. Also easy to walk to 2 beaches and explore the countryside around Sternes. The view is very special, taking in the sea and the spectacular white mountains. We enjoyed a relaxing retreat with no TV, radio, computer or phone distractions and felt wonderfully relaxed. There is a vegetable garden just beside the house. Alexandra supplied us with really useful information before our holiday. Elsa was our host at the property upon arrival. The hospitality throughout our stay was outstanding, far more than ever could be expected. By the end of our week we felt like we had been staying with a good friend. This makes it a particularly special place. We would like to thank them both for enhancing our holiday.

The property was well decorated and very clean with good access to local bakeries and supermarkets. Maria was a lovely host who was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this property.
