Superb location and a unique house in Carmel

The house is huge. Loads of space including a large living room with a piano and fire, a games room with large pool table, ping pong in the basement, and a very large garden (especially for Carmel). Also the pool has been recently redone and was welcome during our stay as the sun shone the whole week. The decor is “old fashioned” but quaint and fitting the Carmel old style and history of the house, We had one minor issue with the pool heating not being on and it took a couple of days until we could use it but the owner gave us some guest cards for Monterey Aquarium to make up for it and the issue was resolved as soon as they could The location of the house however is the standout for us. Right next to the quieter Carmel River Beach and you can see the ocean from the garden and hear the waves at night. We would definitely stay again !

Well equipped, great hosts

An extremely well equipped property, with super helpful hosts. The property is a half hour drive from the nearest amenities but if you shop before you arrive, you will find everything you need to self cater. Alternatively, it is around 30 minutes to King City, 45 to Carmel Valley. We loved the hiking in Arroyo Sec, Pinnacles NP and along the Big Sur, with the pool ideal at the end of the day.
