Holiday rentals near Shooting Star Ski Lift

Long weekend with friends and our beloved old dog. We were anxious to get back to Vermont and this home was just what we needed. Close to the activities we like, cross country skiing, great book store, cute shops. Accommodations were above what we expected. Dan could not be a better host. We will be back!

We stayed at Jeremy’s place for 2 nights this October. OMG, this place is amazing. All the home comforts you could wish for, big comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen and larder, breakfast goodies included and lovely and clean. The deck with view of the pond and mountains was a huge bonus, lovely and private - total bliss. This is a definite 5 star rating , cannot recommended highly enough . We stayed as a family of four for a couple of nights in August 2019. The cottage is in a beautiful location, very quiet and right opposite the river. We swam in the river (it is shallow but not warm even in summer) every day, although it does require climbing down some rocks to get to the water. Many times we saw locals and visitors go down the river in kayaks and rubber rings or inflatables. There is a good Country Store very close and Manchester, with the larger selection of shops and restaurants is about 10-15 minutes away. The beds were very comfortable, with a very large bed in the main bedroom and the bedroom downstairs having two good size beds (one of which is a pullout which raises). There is no TV service provided and the wi-fi worked but was slow, so this is not a place for high-tech entertainment, but one to relax at and be 'in the country'. It is very well stocked and is obviously enjoyed as a vacation home by the owner. Anyone with children should be aware that the property is decorated in a quite old style, with lots of antiques and mirrors which may not suit everyone. Also two of the bedrooms do not have doors, which again may not suit everyone.
