Great stay! Very accurate listing, Google maps lead us straight up to the door. Property owner was very responsive. Will definitely be back in the future!
This is a good spot to stay if you’re trying to get a little off the beaten path. It’s a quiet area and the house is great. We enjoyed some of the amenities like the bonfire pit and the pool table. The rooms were nice and beds comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
Worked with me leading up to our stay. Gave a reasonable refund when number of guests and length of got smaller.

Pros/cons
No AC! It was extremely hot in the upstairs. They have 1 window unit but the owner didn’t have it on prior to our arrival. No check in/check out instructions. Had to walk to the owners for WiFi password. The owners live right next door and one of their family was staying in the other side of the rental (it’s a split home). But the house worked for us. It is definitely in the middle of nowhere which was awesome for our activities, but not much privacy from the owners or neighbors.
It was perfect for our get away. Thankfully the television was there but signal was weak. Thankful for Wi-fi for phone service. A little bit of a jog off the main road.
The property was deep in the woods and very clean, it was a little difficult to find because my cell phone connection was spotty (VERIZON) but once we got there it was very nice. we rented the left half of the house and someone else rented the right side. they were very nice people. It is a perfect place to relax and go 4 wheeling the trails were amazing well groomed and not a lot of people riding up there. The owners live right next door which was nice if i had any questions or needed anything i could ask, but never came over while we were there, i did wave to them once. I loved this place an plan on renting it again. 2 thumbs up if you just want to get away for a few days.
This property is off the beaten the path. The 6 mile drive off the highway on dirt roads was a little scary at first, but quickly became enjoyable due to the scenery and wildlife. We got to see a porcupine on one of our drives! The house is very well-appointed and the hosts were very nice people. The neighbors across the street too. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed grilling out and listening to the night sounds. We heard a Barrred owl. The sky is very dark at night with no light pollution, and there is a fantastic lake 6 miles away that has a wonderful beach, and a bike path around the lake. We would absolutely stay again. It was perfect for our family and our doggie!
This property seemed like a great deal without a far distance to our location over the weekend as we would have to make several trips to and from. Instead it was listed wrong and much further than they state on their page. The 7 mile drive to things "close by" is a 25+ minute drive and most of it is closed by 9pm. Also it's over an 1 1/2 hours to mackinaw when they say a quick 45 minutes. They had outlets hanging half off the walls, the coffee pot was never cleaned and had bugs living in it. The floors had dog hair from a previous renter all over them, the furniture was falling apart (literally wood and screws hanging out) and the faucet in the bathtub comes off the wall when trying to take a shower. The neighbor's of the duplex had 2 dogs that they would walk on our half of the yard early in the mornings and they would bark nonstop and wake our infants up extremely early. And all of that being said, the owner wont even come talk to you or respond to your messages if you have a problem but will quickly be rude to you instead. It may be an amazing price but trust me, you will definitely prefer paying a little more for a nicer place and closer location!
Oh dont forget, they dont have wifi readily available and no AC....
We really enjoyed our stay it was nice and peaceful with no distractions and my daughter saw a black bear walk through the back yard witch was a bonus.
Great place to stay! Very comfortable bedrooms upstairs, downstairs laid out well. Great to have a pool table. Landlady & landlord very helpful. Nice trails very close. We walked our German Shepherd daily on them. There were deer in the back yard. We heard the coyotes yipping at night. Restaurants close by: great burgers at the EL-BO Inn in Atlanta. The extra cheese veggie pizza at Wood Winds in Onaway was a winner! We went sightseeing and Mackinac was a good day trip, and we stopped at some fun beaches along Lake Huron. We enjoyed our trip!
My wife and I stopped here in the middle of our 2 week camping trip for a short dose of modern amenities (laundry, shower, etc). This was a perfect stop for us and our dog. The location is easier to find if you receive directions directly from the host. Not sure where google maps would have taken us. The house is located on an unimproved road. The road was well maintained and not rutted so there should be no issues regardless of vehicle. If you have ATVs this is the place you want to be. Ample parking for trailers and trucks and immediate access to hundreds of miles of trails. Excellent experience!
Hosts were so accommodating and considerate to assure we had what we needed and were comfortable for our stay. More spacious than expected. Had everything we needed for stay but toiletries, food and clothes basically. Nice open yard carved into a wooded, secluded area with few neighbors. All county dirt roads to get back to the home; beautiful drive. As expected, in such a wooded area, no service and spotty wifi. Prepare ahead with written directions just in case. So, you can enjoy sight seeing in the area. Thank you for allowing us to stay.
Great place to relax and unwind. No cell phone service, so be prepared to actually talk and spend time with family/friends/significant others. Boyfriend and I even talked about coming back to stay for a longer time period.
Great people! The atv/sxs trails are so close and convenient, no trailoring involved. U jump on the vehicle and ride right to the trail. Cabin was cost and the beds were great and clean. Also if u wanna see elk, drive right down 622 :))
