3 Howells Mere is a contemporary two-storey lakeside house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It accommodates four adults, one child on a Z-bed and one infant in a travel cot in the parents’ bedroom.

The property occupies a beautiful position overlooking a freshwater lake at Lower Mill Estate, an exclusive holiday development set within a 450-acre nature reserve with seven lakes. Floor-to-ceiling panoramic glazing makes the most of the uninterrupted lake views, while the surrounding Cotswold countryside provides a peaceful setting for a relaxing break.

One dog is welcome for an additional charge of £30, payable separately after booking. Please advise us of the dog’s breed, size and age.

A Z-bed is available for one child for an additional charge of £30, payable separately after booking.

A travel cot measuring W63 x L95 x H50cm is available for £15. A fitted bottom sheet is provided, but a quilt and pillow are not supplied for health and safety reasons. A highchair is available free of charge. Please let us know in advance if any of these items are required.

Ground Floor

The master bedroom is a beautifully presented double room with a television, wardrobe, bedside table and desk. It has direct access to a lakeside deck with a child-safe glass balustrade. The en-suite bathroom includes a bath with shower screen, underfloor heating, heated towel rail and shaving socket.

The second bedroom is also furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables. The Z-bed is stored inside the wardrobe. Full-height doors lead directly onto the lakeside deck, which offers uninterrupted views across the water.
A separate family bathroom includes a corner shower, heated towel rail and shaving socket.

First Floor
The fully equipped kitchen has clean, contemporary styling and includes a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, double oven, fridge, hob, hob kettle, coffee machine and Breville hot-water dispenser. Coffee beans are not provided.

The bright, open-plan living and dining area features full-height glazing and far-reaching lake views. The round dining table seats four, with an additional occasional table for two.

A large corner sofa and footstool create a comfortable space in which to relax beside the log burner. Logs are not supplied. The living area also includes a large LCD television and DAB radio.

Full-length patio doors open onto a spacious balcony with a hanging chair and outdoor dining for four, providing a wonderful setting for meals overlooking the lake.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Leisure and Wellness Facilities

Guests have complimentary access to the Leisure and Wellness Club, which includes a heated indoor pool, seasonal heated outdoor pool, eco pool, sauna, steam room, gym, library and reading area. Luxury spa treatments are available at an additional cost.

The gym is available without advance booking on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no time limit, although capacity is restricted to 10 people. Opening times vary seasonally.

Swimming sessions must normally be booked online 24 hours in advance. Each property may book one one-hour session per day, choosing either the indoor or outdoor pool, subject to availability and seasonal opening times. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their session reallocated. During low season, advance booking is not required on Fridays, during high season, Friday sessions must be booked as usual.

Guests may also use the heated Mill Village outdoor pool, which is open from 8:00am until dusk throughout the year and does not require booking. Heated to approximately 30°C, it is located within easy walking distance of the property and has shower facilities. The pool is unsupervised, and guests swim at their own risk.

On-site Facilities and Activities

Lower Mill Estate has an on-site restaurant, seasonal shop, tennis courts, football pitch and nature walks. A private chef may also be arranged.

Additional activities may include paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, cycling, scooter hire, tennis, soft play, yoga and seasonal children’s activities. Activities are provided by independent third parties, subject to availability and charged separately. Please contact us for further information.

The property is within a short drive of several traditional Cotswold villages offering a good selection of shops, restaurants and local attractions.

A guaranteed late checkout of up to 4:00pm is available on Sundays at no additional cost.
