Wonderful, hospitable stay in beautiful location

Pura Vida is a beautiful villa, with gorgeous surroundings and views. What made our stay were the personal touches from Catherine and her family - from her delightful homemade limoncello to the beautiful lavender sachet she gifted us. We would absolutely love to return and stay for longer!

Wonderful, relaxing stay

We experienced just the holiday we were looking for at this beautiful villa, hosted by Catherine and Don: a week of relaxation as a family, enjoying the beautiful pool and spectacular view, with occasional outings into the village and to the coast. The villa was spotless, equipped with everything we needed, and the welcome from the hosts was genuine and warm, with helpful tips on the area. We would love to return.

Mountains and sea

Located a. Couple of kilometres outside the medieval village of Tourrette-surr-Loup and 30 minutes from Nice, it’s beautiful location is ideal for keen walkers and hikers.

Wonderful house

We spend a wonderful week in this house overlooking the sea and the mountains from the terasse. The city is full of good restaurants within walking distance. A perfekt place for roadbiking in the mountains.

Excellent vacation

Thank you Catherine and Don for the wonderful days in your villa. We really enjoyed the beautiful clean house and pool, nice view and your hospitality. We had everything needed and got your great support while having challenges with our car. Absolutely recommended for families, using their vacation in a safe environment with absolute privacy.

An absolutely stunning vacation home! The location is simply perfect, surrounded by breathtaking nature. The interior is stylish and cozy at the same time. The ideal place to relax and experience unforgettable moments. We were especially impressed by the beautiful pool and the fantastic ocean view. Furthermore, the host of the vacation home was incredibly kind and helpful – we can highly recommend her. We would love to come back to this villa in South France one day. Highly recommended!

Very nice holidays

We stayed for one week in Catherin's and Don's beautiful house and we enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and comfortable. It has a great view over the landscape and to the sea. The house is only five minutes away from Tourette sur Loup, which is a very nice old town with nice bars and restaurants. Catherine and Don are so friendly and helpful. They are great hosts. Amazing time at Pura Vida in Tourrettes-sur-Loup

Wow what an amazing property! Everything on the listing is accurate, and the owners Catherine and Don were a joy -- very responsive, friendly, accommodating, and helpful in telling us about the surrounding area. Location is tough to beat, especially if you're looking for something close to town, but not IN the town -- it's less than 5 min drive, a 10-minute walk on the road (although the walk on the road is a bit treacherous) or a 20-minute hike through the countryside (preferred). The pool deck and grass areas were amazing for relaxing, eating and drinking, and of course napping in the sun. Our only regret is that we were not able to stay longer!

The French Trip

What a beautiful villa and the most superb spot! Not overlooking anyone and no one overlooking us. Owners couldn’t do enough to help and we would love to return. The village is very quaint. We went up to the local ranch and had a two hour hack up into the mountains on some lovely horses. With binos we had fun spotting the super yachts in Antibes and out at sea and tracking the plains below landing at Nice! The pool Ian’s gardens were so lovely we are truly sad to leave. Until next year….

Wow, Just Wow!

We just finished a wonderful week at Catherine’s and Don’s fabulous property “Pura Vida”. I won’t restate what other reviewers have already said other than to confirm that nothing has been overstated! You can rent this property with total peace of mind, there are no negative surprises, only positive ones! We were four longtime adult friends gathering there from the UK (2), USA (1) and Portugal (1) we all agreed that it required an extra effort to get out and about because the Pura Vida experience was so delightful and complete. Catherine thanks so much for your genuine kindness and hospitality! We all left with a new friend and hoping to return.

Beautiful Pura Vida

Firstly, my family had a chaotic beginning to our vacation due to airport delays. Our 11 am arrival morphed into two days late and an 11:30 pm arrival! Catherine graciously received us at this late hour, gave a quick orientation, had provisions stocked for the children, and encouraged us to put the young ones to bed with a plan to meet formally the next day. We were delighted with the house, the kitchen facilities, and all the amenities this property offered. The secure yard is exquisite with flowers, trees and shrubbery everywhere. The pool and the expansive view to the coast breathtaking. Thank you Catherine for your compassion & hospitality.

Slice of heaven in the French countryside

Our recent stay at Pura Vida was nothing short of amazing! From the time we arrived, Catherine was so helpful with anything we needed during our stay. We chose this location in order to be close to places we wanted to visit, yet far enough to have some privacy. The house was perfect for the two of us but would be equally perfect for a family or two couples. The outdoor space with pool was used nearly every day, especially first thing in the am and to wind down from a long day of adventures. We took day trips to Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Eze, Menton, Antibes, and Sanremo. Each were between 25-55 mins from Pura Vida. We also spent time in Tourrettes Sur Loup which has a good selection of restaurants and even two small markets to grab a few groceries (and wine). We have traveled quite a bit and this is one of THE best VRBO’s we’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat!

Excellent vacation home

We stayed for two weeks in this lovely house. The house is very well equipped and we especially enjoyed the large indoor and outdoor sitting areas where we could relax and enjoy the view of the hills and the coast line. We cooled down in the pool and enjoyed the sun on the terrasse all day long. The grill and WIFI is brand new and you can even sit by the pool and still enjoy full WIFI connection. You can reach Tourrettes sur Loup within a few minutes by car or by walking. The walk takes you through the villa area and up the forrest covered hillside of the village. If you are up for a little excercise it is no problem at all. Our hosts, Catherine and Don, made sure we got all the help and support we needed through our stay and they even decorated the pool for a birthday as a surprise. They are very polite, pleasant and the best hosts we have had so far on our many trips to France.

Propriété et propriétaire exceptionnelles!! Villa propre, spacieuse avec tout le nécessaire pour notre confort absolu! Vue magnifique ! Lits très confortables. Absolute Empfehlung für einen tollen Urlaub

Wir (3 Erwachsene, 1 Teenager) verbrachten 2 wundervolle Wochen in dieser absolut tollen Villa. Es ist alles genau so wie auf den Bildern und der Blick ist wirklich atemberaubend. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es fehlte uns an nichts. In der Küche hat man sogar einen Kühlschrank mit Eiswürfelbereiter, diesen haben wir sehr gerne genutzt um den ganzen Tag gekühlte Getränke zu haben. Der Pool ist ein Traum, genau die richtige Größe. Wir hatten vorher Angst dass er zu klein sein könnte, aber diese Angst kann ich jedem nehmen. Er ist wirklich groß genug und die Tiefe ist auch sehr gut so dass wir reinspringen konnten. Wenn man im Schatten sein möchte ist ca. 2 Meter neben dem Pool direkt die überdachte Terrasse mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten. Auch 4 komfortable Liegen sind vorhanden. Die Gastgeber Catherine & Don wohnen nebenan, aber es ist absolute Privatsphäre gegeben. Hier braucht man wirklich keine Angst haben, im Gegenteil. Catherine stand uns immer direkt mit Rat und Tat zur Seite wenn wir was wissen wollten. Wir waren schon in einigen Villen in Südfrankreich, aber wir hatten bisher noch nie so tolle Gastgeber, wirklich absolut zu empfehlen. Vielen lieben Dank Catherine & Don dass wir bei Euch einen so tollen Urlaub verbringen durften, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Un lieu idyllique

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à la Pura Vida en famille. Le lieu est top, le village dont dépend la location très sympa, la vue magnifique, les pièces sont grandes et belles. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine à débordement, et n'avons pas eu à souffrir de la chaleur en cette période car la villa a été très bien pensée. Une mention particulière pour l'accueil reçu de Catherine et Don, chaleureux et généreux.

Excellente semaine….

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans la maison de Catherine et Don. Ils nous ont réservé un accueil très sympathique et chaleureux, accompagné de délicates attentions. La maison est conforme à la description ,tout est bien pensé pour passer de très bons moments. Les enfants ont adoré la piscine, et nous avons adoré la vue splendide… Enfin le village de Tourettes sur Loup est très jolie et à proximité rapide en voiture.. En résumé une très bonne adresse pour passer d’excellentes vacances.

En perle med nydelig atmosfære og god beliggenhet

2 uker her var helt perfekt for oss, familie med 3 barn i alder 11-17 år. Vi har kost oss i og ved bassenget og nytt utsikten over åsene og Middelhavet. Huset ligger også sentralt og gjorde det lett å ta dagsturer til byer, landsbyer og fjell. Flere gode supermarked i nærheten og pizzaovn og bra grill gjorde det lett å tilberede middagene hjemme. Veldig hyggelig vertskap som alltid var klar til å hjelpe og svare på spørsmål, føltes veldig trygt. Vi anbefaler stedet til alle som har/leier bil og som søker en unik eiendom i rolige omgivelser.

Perfect in every way

We loved everything about this gorgeous home. The views were magnificent. Everything you needed was in the home. The infinity pool was stunning - and close to where others would sit and read or sip a glass of local wine. Something for everyone. And the hosts (Catherine and Don) could not have been more welcoming or kinder. We hope to come back

Excellente location

La maison est très propre et bien équipée pour un séjour en famille. Les propriétaires sont discrets, sympathiques et serviables. Les pièces de la maison restent fraîches lors des chaudes journées. Le jardin est fleuri et harmonieux. La piscine est grande, agréable et permet de nager avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la côte et le cap d'Antibes. Toute la maison est agencée afin de profiter de cette vue, de ce panorama qui change en fonction du temps et des heures de la journée. Un endroit rare oú il fait bon vivre et se retrouver ensemble.
