The Homes
Rusticana consists of two buildings, an original Cottage built in the 1950s, and the Main House added in 1979.
THE MAIN HOUSE: Cute and cozy with plenty of natural light, the main house boasts spectacular views of the lake from the two huge sliding glass doors in the main room. The doors lead onto a 30-foot-long deck that overlooks the shoreline just a few feet away. Two tables, with seating for 10, plus a gas grill make for a spectacular all-day hangout spot. You will never tire of watching the sun sink over the western hillside while enjoying a glass of local wine, or watching the kids frolic in the crystal clear water. On rainy days or cool evenings, stream your favorite programs, surf the Internet, or lose yourself in a great book. Plenty of card games, board games, and puzzles are available for old fashioned fun. At night, let the soothing sound of the water lapping on the shore lull you to sleep.

THE COTTAGE: Lovingly built by the original property owner, but has many recent updates. The wood frame and wood interior cottage boasts two quaint bedrooms (the “honeymoon suite” has a small deck facing the lake), a full bath, an enclosed porch, a seating area, and a kitchenette. Grab your coffee mug from the original Hoosier cabinet and get ready to embrace the joy of a day at the lake!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
We hope you will love and leave our home as you would your own! While we don't expect guests to clean, please leave the place tidy.
Please leave all bedding on the beds. Place all used towels in the tub/shower. Take out trash/recycling and place bins at the curb. Remove all personal items (including fridge items).
We reserve the right to withhold up to $200 of your deposit to cover extra cleaning costs if necessary. Thank you and safe travels home!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Must review all and return the signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, indicating agreement with all Rental Rules.
Absolutely NO illegal drug use. Although adult-use marijuana is legal in New York State, Rusticana prohibits smoking of any type on the property.
Firearms and any other type of weapon are strictly prohibited on the Rusticana property.

Very nice location on the lake with an easy check in process. If you’re traveling as a couple/with other couples, keep in mind that the biggest bed here is a Queen, but we were totally fine for two nights. Getting to Watkins Glen, Letchworth, and other nearby parks was quick and easy.

Family/Friends Vacation

Amazing property and location. Tons of watercraft to enjoy with the family. You can hang out on the dock during the day and enjoy a fire at night overlooking the lake. The host was responsive and awesome to deal with. Having two house was great to split up the early risers and the people who like to sleep in. I would highly recommend and rent again.

Great spot on the lake, great lake frontage, close to Hammondsport

Stayed for a long weekend, overall great experience and phenomenal hosts. Property is a nice little cottage (that you don’t see a lot of anymore on Keuka). Everything was as described and very clean and ready for our stay. Overall great property, recommend to any couples, families, friend groups looking to just enjoy Keuka.

Long weekend with family

Long weekend getaway

We had a great time at Rusticana. Perfect location to visit the wineries, breweries and to do a little fishing. Something for everyone in our party. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Nancy was very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Fall Getaway!

Rusticana was perfect for our friends and family fall trip! This was our second time visiting and it was just as beautiful as the first. Ann was amazing to work with, the houses were super clean, and the watercrafts got a lot of use. I would highly suggest visiting and we will likely be back again someday.

restful stay

A restful stay in a cozy, well-kept cottage. The owner was helpful and available with a couple of questions I had. The weather was great. The one surprise: Hammondsport restaurants are only open on weekends until Memorial day.

Everything we hoped for

Mom (84yr) and daughters & niece spent 4 relaxing, fun filled days reading, playing cards, rock painting, boating and at times... laughing out of control.The porch is perfect for morning coffee, waving at passers-by, crafting and evening cocktail hour. Although the Rusticana is cozy, it never seemed cramped - there was plenty of room for the friends who stopped in for a day.It was nice to be able to walk out the door for a stroll and get different views of the lake and other cottages.Hoping for another stay next year.

Wonderful rental on the water!

Quaint cabin on the water. Has it all! View, lake, water sports equipment, fire pit, games, books! Well stocked and maintained cabin. Bring your bathing suit and enjoy the waters and the view!

Wonderful value for two cozy cottages

Our family (4 couples, 3 children) had a wonderful stay at Rusticana. Access was easy and both cottages were cozy and comfortable. We especially loved the pedal boat, beachfront, meals on the deck and fire pit. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of towels for everyone. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

This property has been in the family for going on six generations. We've hosted one wedding and more family reunions than we can count at the lake.
