About this property
The Carlton Farmhouse: A Quintessential Stay
Welcome to The Carlton Farmhouse, a beautifully restored historic home in Oregon's “Great Little Town” of Carlton. Perfectly situated in the heart of wine country, this charming retreat blends timeless character with modern comfort. Just minutes from world-class wineries, tasting rooms, and restaurants, it offers the perfect home base for your Willamette Valley getaway.
Lovingly renovated to showcase its original grandeur, The Carlton Farmhouse retains its vintage warmth while offering every modern convenience. Set on a shaded corner lot in a quiet neighborhood, it's only a short stroll from downtown Carlton's lively main street, where tasting rooms, cafés, and boutique shops line the historic streetscape.
This home is proudly owned by a local winery, and guests enjoy exclusive perks through our partnership with Moffett Vineyards. During your stay—and when visiting the vineyard's tasting room—guests receive special offerings designed to elevate the experience. Located just a few miles from Carlton, Moffett Vineyards' new hilltop tasting room sits high above the valley floor, where sweeping views extend across a patchwork of verdant fields and vineyards all the way to the Coastal Mountain Range.
Why guests love staying here: Guests are drawn to The Carlton Farmhouse for its rare blend of historic character and unbeatable location. Being able to walk to downtown Carlton's tasting rooms and restaurants, return home to a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, and enjoy exclusive access to a local winery creates a stay that feels both effortless and special. It's the kind of place where mornings start on the porch with coffee and evenings end with a glass of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.
The main level welcomes you with an open, light-filled living and dining area. Picture windows flood the space with natural light, accentuating the home's thoughtful décor and inviting furnishings. The living room features a flat-screen TV for cozy movie nights, while the adjoining dining area seats eight, perfect for shared meals and conversations over your latest wine finds.
Upstairs, the rustic yet refined primary suite exudes farmhouse charm with shiplap walls, sloped ceilings, and a brand-new king bed dressed in luxury linens. Two additional guest bedrooms each feature comfortable queen beds, cozy reading nooks, and open closets for easy storage. The upstairs guest bathroom includes a classic clawfoot tub with a shower, soft lighting, plush towels, and locally crafted soaps for an authentic Oregon touch.
The spacious kitchen has been fully updated with new appliances and stocked with everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals inspired by local flavors. Also on this level, you'll find a luxurious full bathroom with a separate standing shower and a deep soaking tub for two, as well as a convenient laundry area for guest use.
Step outside to a private, beautifully landscaped yard filled with fruit trees and blooming gardens. Dine al fresco at the large farm table under the open Oregon sky, or start your day with coffee on the covered front porch. A BBQ grill is provided for outdoor cooking and leisurely summer evenings with family and friends.
Carlton Farmhouse offers easy access to the region's finest wineries, restaurants, and local charm. Spend your days exploring nearby tasting rooms like Ken Wright Cellars, Soter Vineyards, and the Carlton Winemakers Studio, or stroll through town to enjoy artisan fare at The Horse Radish and fresh pastries from Carlton Bakery.
For an effortless day of exploration, let Pinot Car Wine Tours design a private itinerary through Oregon's world-renowned wine country, where every stop offers a taste of the valley's signature warmth, flavor, and hospitality.
Traveling with little ones? We offer baby gates, high chairs, and pack 'n plays for rent, as well as yoga mats, air mattresses, and outdoor games such as bocce ball and croquet available upon request.
As a guest of a winery-owned home, we encourage you to take advantage of your exclusive Moffett Vineyards perks during your stay. Whether you're planning a relaxed afternoon at their hilltop tasting room or building a full wine country itinerary, a visit to Moffett offers a memorable way to experience the beauty, views, and hospitality that make the Willamette Valley so special.
