Discover Dundee Charm - New Lower Rates for Bookings Through April 2026

This home is built for entertaining with a spacious open floorplan. The chef's kitchen with gas cooktop opens into a vaulted great room with plenty of comfortable seating. Enjoy your meals and commune at the dining room table which seats six or around the large granite island. The primary suite is set off from the rest of the bedrooms and has a comfortable California King bed, walk-in closet, settee, and television. The ensuite bathroom includes a shower as well as a soaking tub for relaxing. The two guest bedrooms are situated next to the hall bathroom and both have comfortable queen-sized beds along with ample storage space. Adjacent to the front door is an office with a sofa bed for additional sleeping space as needed.

Enjoy the beautiful Oregon weather from our back deck or under the gazebo. Or watch the sunrise with a cup of Hawaiian coffee from the covered front porch. On a clear day you can also see Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson, as the home sits on the hill above Dundee. The lot is nearly a quarter acre, and although it is in a neighborhood just blocks from tasting rooms, it feels quite private. Patio furniture, a gas grill and a small fire pit (sorry, you need to supply your own firewood) are available to enhance your outdoor experience.

Safety & Security: Our cleaning personnel continue to follow all recommended cleaning and disinfection guidelines specified by Vrbo and Airbnb. We are blocking rentals before and after stays (no same day turnovers) to ensure that staff has enough time to do a thorough cleaning. While this has led to increased cleaning fees, we are sure you will be pleased with the condition and safety our home. In addition, we have recently installed front and back door cameras to provide assistance, if needed, during check-in, and for security when there are no tenants. System is disabled during your stay once you are checked-in. Thanks for your understanding!

Gale and Jeff Eckerd were born and raised (for the most part - Gale was an Army brat in her early years) on Oahu in the beautiful State of Hawaii. Both of them are now retired from the State's Department of Health - Jeff as a Program Manager for the Indoor and Radiological Health Branch and Gale as a Human Resources Specialist. They love traveling to new places, experiencing local cuisine, and enjoying fine wine.

Why they chose this property

In 2005, they first visited the area on a wine vacation, and Jeff fell in love with the Willamette Valley. Now fully retired, Dundee is the perfect place to spend their golden years. After scouring the area for some time, this home "fell" into their laps in May 2016, and they couldn't be happier. They would love to have you stay and experience all that Oregon has to offer!

What makes this property unique

What made Dundee so appealing to Jeff and Gale was the location and community. Who wouldn't want to live in the heart of wine country? And a quiet, small-town setting with wonderful, friendly people....PERFECT! Not to mention the plethora of outdoor activities available nearby. Away from the hustle and bustle of Portland, but close enough to visit. Plus we are only an hour and a half or so from the beautiful Oregon Coast. Wineries, fine dining, breweries, fishing, hiking, golfing, shopping.....HEAVEN!
