We had a lovely time at the house, Laurent and Sylvia were very good at answering our questions. The pool was lovely and very much needed on a hot day. The inside of the house with the air-con was very nice after all of the hot weather. The town is very good there is a Boulangerie a shoot walk from the house and also a little bar to have a cold or hot drink. We went to 2 of the restaurants in the town the first was a Tapa style and the second a Pizzeria. All round a very good place to stay for visits to the local area.

Caunes Minervois is Lovely

The property was very clean and modern with all modcons, the Pool was really nice and the location was perfect, secluded enough that you felt away from the strains off life and could properly relax but with in easy reach of towns city and coast if you wanted to go out. Me and my family loved our stay there and would recommend to anyone wanting a week or two away from it all

We spent 10 nights in this superb property in August 2026. Hosts were communicative and friendly and eager to help without being intrusive. They live locally in the summer so can sort needs if required but otherwise you have the house and gardens entirely to yourself and far enough away from neighbours to not feel like you are disturbing them. There are two air con units in the property one upstairs and one downstairs, coupled with sensible shutter use these kept the house cool even in the August heatwave we were staying in (highs 30’s to low 40’s!) Pool was used by eight of us to have loads of fun throughout the day. Not big enough for serious swimming but perfect for keeping cool and playing with the children. The kitchen is very well appointed and we ate a lot at home as a result. There are great food options in town as well, I highly recommend Cedrac, superb food on offer. We had bread and pastries from the Boulangerie every day as well. The local area has so much to discover. If you have adventurous children search the ravine behind the church at the top of the road the house is on (around a 1.5km walk) and you’ll find climbing grips attached to the walls that take you on trip up the dry riverbed. Really good fun, it’s not advertised at all so you will need to explore! There are Neolithic sites round every corner to explore and the town of Minerve is wonderful, if you like walking even more so. We’d highly recommend this property to anyone. Thank you!

Great location and house. Laurent and Sylia could not be more helpful.

We had a fantastic holiday. The location is close to really interesting places to visit - we did have a car and would definitely recommend that to anyone else staying here. We enjoyed the variety in the area from amazing caves quite close by, castles, chateaus and Abbeys, medieval villages like Minerve and Lagrasse, and Carcassonne itself is wonderful. We split the week with half of it getting out and about, and the rest lazing around the pool which felt very private and had a good view across the valley to the Corbières and on a clear day you can see the Pyrenees. The house had everything we needed, well equipped and comfortable. There were only two of us so we had lots of space, but the house would be good for a family too. There isn't aircon in the bedrooms but the aircon downstairs is very effective. Laurent and Sylvie were great hosts and could not have been more friendly or helpful.
