A lovely property and the friendly and helpful hosts have thought of everything. All parts of the city are close by and easy to get to - the setting is also beautiful in a park on an island. Lots to see and do and a lovely garden to relax in with use of the pool - highly recommended and would stay again :-)

Fabulous location

The gite is in a perfect location, within easy walking distance of the medieval city and the new city. Plenty of restaurants nearby but beautifully quiet if you want to just escape. There is everything you need in the accommodation and our hosts were so helpful.

A little Oass

Perfectly located to the explore the Old City and within walking distance of the Main Train Station. Wonderfully quiet spot to return to after a day out and about.

We had a lovely week in Carcassonne. Emmanuelle is an excellent host and picked us up from the airport! The property is well appointed and a superb base from which to explore both the old and new town. As it is on an island it was very quiet and peaceful. An easy walk to the station for trips to Narbonne and Limoux. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Great location, set between old and new town with a short walk to both. Clean, bright and spacious accommodation. Host friendly, offered great recommendations for places to eat and makes the most delicious fig jam. A lovely touch finding breakfast essentials for our first morning! Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. Would most definitely return.

Our stay at this property exceeded my expectations; spotlessly clean, private, nothing was misleading in the description of the property, there was everything you would need for a 2 week stay and the hosts were courteous, thoughtful, friendly and helpful. Communucation with the host was always clear and prompt. It was a pleasure to stay here.

Lovely property on island between the two cities, the property has a lovely garden & pool. Only a short walk to either the citadel or the Bastide with bars & restaurants close by.

A lot of difficulties locating the host once we arrived. Otherwise an excellent property. Kitchen had everything necessary for eating in. Bed was comfortable. Lots of suggestions from host about activities in the area. Even though it was October the host opened the pool for us.

We are a family with two kids, and this property was chosen for us mainly for the pool for the kids in between visiting the magical walled city. (July) While a nice location and pretty property, I felt pool use was restricted or limited. Maybe if you book for family be clear about pool use and expectation as it is shared with owner of property. Each day on our last 2 days there we got in the pool and were notified that we'd need to get out after an hr or so. One was for a pool clean solution and other for cleaning deck. Why not do that before or after, it felt uncomfortable that as soon as we got in we were told we had a limit and it was blazing hot.Carcassonne is magical overall though.

The location is idyllic, on a quiet island in between the old city and new town. Everything is easily walkable. The annex has a private garden, with sunny and shady spots for relaxing after a swim in the pool (which you share with the hosts, but it still feels very private). The hosts were wonderful in picking us up and dropping us back at the train station. We would absolutely stay again.

Emmanuelle et son mari ont été très gentils et discrets. Leur maison est magnifique et située à proximité de l’Aude et on peut aller à la ville ancienne tant bien que à celle nouvelle. La piscine était très agréable et nous a offri un moment de relax important.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt in der LAude

Unterhalb der Befestigung von Carcassonne befindet sich die Unterkunft in einem ruhigen Park an der Aude. Ausgehen und Essen gehen kann man zur Fuß in wenigen Minuten. Auch findet man fußläufig einen kleinen Markt für kleinere tägliche Einkäufe. Neben der obligatorischen und sehr sehenswerte Besichtigung der Cité und Bastide bieten sich abwechslungsreiche Radtouren am Canal du Midi sowie lohnende Wanderungen vor Ort sowie in den Montagne Noire an. Die regionale Küche ist empfehlenswert und preislich sehr fair. Die Unterkunft war bestens ausgestattet, so dass es an nichts mangelte. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, so dass wir stets bestens ausgeruht in den Tag starten konnten. Die Vermieter waren stets diskret und hilfsbereit, vielen Dank dafür.

Excellent séjour

Gîte idéalement situé au pied de la cité, dans une voie sans issue, bordée par une pinède, dans un calme absolu. Des hôtes discrets mais à l'écoute. On y retournerait avec plaisir.

Couldn’t ask for a better location!

This was the perfect beautiful and quiet apartment centrally located to the old city. The old city was surprisingly fun to walk around and beautifully restored along with wonderful food especially cassoulet, So we were very happy to have this location and highly recommend it to explore this gorgeous area. Also the hosts were perfect And everything we needed was there.
