Relax on the balcony and enjoy one of the most beautiful view's on earth. It is such a beautiful spot that many weddings take place right across the street at Berwick Park. Enjoy taking a walk along the path along side the ocean. Monterey Aquarium and the Outlets are a five to ten-minute walk. (Holidays are 3 night minimum) I have a "Beach Gear" section in the gurst room closest. I have beach towels, boogie board, bucket & shovel, beach umbrella, beach bags, beach blankets. Enjoy the beach!

The Beach House is decorated by an Interior Designer and has a feeling of relaxation and comfort. It has a Nautical and Beach theme. It has wonderful thick Egyptian towels and high count sheets and linens. The electric towel warmer is great especially in the Winter months. The fireplace facing the oceanview is a perfect place to enjoy a book. It is a true place of relaxation.

It has a full kitchen with all of the latest equipment. If you cook, you can enjoy the best views in Monterey or if you go out, there are wonderful restaurants walking distance to Cannery Row.

Great location, property needs TLC

The previous reviews are a fair summary. Location is great, right on the ocean, short walk to the aquarium and Cannery Row and also to downtown Pacific Grove. Lots of lovely restaurants near by. Beds are super comfy, we had a great nights sleep. Aquarium passes are a nice gesture. Kitchen and bathroom need serious investment. The main bathroom has mould on the shower curtain and the grout around the bath is horrible. Towels are not Egyptian cotton but a mix of old dated beach type towels. Kitchen - lots of the appliances were not working properly including dishwasher and washing machine. Lots of the crockery / cutlery / pans were dirty and we had to wash before using.

Location location location!

We had a lovely stay at Sally’s in July. The apartment is in a perfect location to explore Monterey peninsula, with the added bonus of a couple of aquarium passes (tip: for younger kids 8-12ish try the scuba experience there!). Easy access and clear comms. As others note in reviews, the apartment and contents has its own style, busy with lots in there and you very much feel like you’re in someone’s home - but it’s as per the listing images. Thanks Sally!

Beautiful location, helpful host, cluttered property

The location of this property is perfect, facing a lawn/park area, the other side of which is the sea. Quiet, smart neighbourhood and walking distance to shops, restaurants and about 20 mins walk to Monterey & the Aquarium which is worth a visit (2 free passes in the property). Sally was prompt and helpful with my queries - even buying 3 fans in advance when I voiced concerns about the heat having read a review saying windows wouldn’t open. Only negative is that the actual property is so full of furniture and nick nacks that you struggle to find anywhere to put your own stuff. It would be impossible to have small children with you as every surface is covered with glass bowls and ornaments. There is no room to put your own food items so you have to use the kitchen counter and then have no where to prepare food. Also concerned to see no battery in smoke alarm.

Unbeatable Location, But Comfort and Cleanliness Could Use Some TLC

We recently stayed at this condo in Pacific Grove and the location truly can't be beat. It's within walking distance to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Lovers Point, great restaurants, and the charming shops on Lighthouse Avenue. We loved sitting across the street on the grassy bluff and benches overlooking the stunning Monterey Bay, and the balcony view from the unit was equally lovely.The property manager was responsive and helpful when we reached out, and followed up with housekeeping, which we appreciated. That said, we did experience a few challenges during our stay. The beds were quite uncomfortable and the sheets did not appear to have been changed. We also noticed dirty countertops and stained rugs and furniture, which affected the overall feel of cleanliness. The eclectic décor and abundance of knick-knacks may appeal to some, but felt a bit overwhelming to us.If you're someone who needs a supportive mattress or values a very tidy space, this may not be the best fit. But if you're all about location and views, this spot is truly hard to beat.

Beautiful location and property!

Listing was exactly as described. A cozy spot with an unbeatable location and amazing ocean views. Host was friendly and responsive; she even offered early check-in and late check-out without us even asking for it, so nice! Highly recommend this spot, I’d definitely stay there again.

House overlooking Monterey bay

If you’re looking for a cozy lived in apartment/condo overlooking the Monterey Bay near lovers point, this fits the bill. It doesn’t have a lot of room in the living areas if you have small children, and there are a few breakables throughout the house. The bedrooms are roomy. The beds aren’t the latest greatest but adequate. For the price it’s a pretty good deal considering it’s on the ocean has a view and is near many things in the Monterey and Pacific Grove area..

Great Location!

This place was perfect as far as the location. Great views! Great neighborhood! It's the perfect size for a small to medium family. Close to the aquarium. I did have to clean and wipe down parts of the bathroom and kitchen. However, I informed the owner. The owner contacted the cleaning crew regarding being more thorough for future bookings.

One of our best stays, ever!

Wonderful home in an amazing location! Just across the street from Berwick Park, with incredible views of the rocky coastline. Also, an easy walk to the aquarium.The home is so cozy and inviting. Everything was very clean and in great condition.We definitely plan on returning!

Beautiful property right across from the Bay

Came down to celebrate a friend's birthday and were delighted by the property. Proximity to Cannery row and downtown were excellent, unit was charming and the perfect size for our group of 4. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable.Couldn't get enough of the view! Would happily come back

Anniversary Getaway

We loved staying at Sally's place. It's very close to a lot of amenities and within walking distance. My husband proposed to me at Lover's Point 11 years ago and we wanted to come back for our 10 year anniversary with our 2 young sons to show them where it essentially all began. The house has a beautiful view overlooking the ocean, my husband and I loved sitting on the patio drinking a bottle of wine. It provides what you need to cook, eat, shower and sleep. We definitely want to come back!

Great views!

We had a very comfortable stay here. Me, hubby and our two friends stayed here for the Monterey Bay Half marathon weekend. The property was in a fabulous location and had great views! Check in and parking easy. The condo itself has comfy couches and beds were comfy too but did squeak a bit! The kitchen and bathrooms was well equipped. Sally has a lot of notes around for helpful hints. We didn’t find batteries for the fire remote but we didn’t really need it except maybe we would have used one night. I saw the mixed reviews but for us, we wanted something cozy with a view and close to race course so it fit our needs. It is not modern, it’s cozy so set your expectations!

Great location but not the greatest property

First, the location across from the park and bay is great! Only a few minutes to Monterey or the 17 Mile Drive and road to Carmel/Big Sur. The apartment itself is one of several in a building. There are quite a few steps to access. For us seniors, this was a bit difficult with luggage. The interior feels small because the place is chock full of furniture, artwork and knick knacks. There are some nice art pieces but lost in the clutter. The kitchen is a disaster. Appliances are fine. But, nothing in the cupboards and drawers is organized. I preheated the oven and luckily checked inside as it was full of pots and pans, some of which I'm sure weren't oven proof. You couldn't find anything as there was no organization. A professional needs to empty the kitchen, assess what's needed, CLEAN thoroughly and put only the necessary stuff back in some semblance of order. We who rent VRBOs often do so to cook our own food. The place wasnt really clean. It's too hard to clean with all the clutter. Couches, cushions and bedspread felt grimy. The cleaners, who weren't done when we arrived at check-in time, left rugs in the washer. We told them we'd finish those as we didn’t want to wait what ended up being almost 2 hours to finish washing and drying. The small rugs were so old they left a trail of disintegrated backing in the washer and dryer. Sorry about this review but it has to be said.

DO NOT BE FOOLED

DO NOT BE FOOLED by the good reviews on this listing. The bad reviews are accurate to what you will experience. Views and the location are great but that is where it ends. After accidentally arriving a bit before the 3pm check-in time and seeing the place was still dirty we immediately left. We returned at 3:35 to made beds, dirty kitchen, trash full of old bananas and to go food, dirty rubber gloves on a chair, and a used band-aid on the nightstand. The furniture is extremely worn and dirty. We only felt comfortable sitting on the couch after covering it with multiple sheets. The window in bathroom is broken and will not lock. It’s accessible from an exterior staircase that leads to other units in the complex. A safety concern that we were not willing to take. Owner argues it’s not broken and 99% of people like it open. Its broken and the option to secure the window should be there. When confronted the owner was unapologetic, as you can see by her response to previous negative reviews, and as you will most likely see as a response to this review. She indicates previous renters never reported until they wrote the review. I was very transparent from day one BUT that did not change her attitude or provide the ability for her to take any ownership of the condition of the property. We stayed at a hotel and never slept a night at this property. After working directly with VRBO and the owner not a single portion of the rental was refunded. Beware of renting this property.

Celebration of 80th birthday

My sister, sister inlaw, myself rented the perfect house in the perfect location to celebrate our moms 80th birthday. The memories will be cherished forever. Thank you so very much. Waking up having coffee every morning on the patio looking at the ocean and hearing the waves was breathtaking.

Beautiful Pacific Grove location

We absolutely loved the location of this unit. Spectacular views of the ocean right across the street; nice park like setting with great walking paths. Close to the Monterey Bay Aquarium (owner offers 2 free passes)... we took a whale watching trip from the harbor... within 2 miles of the condo. Had a wonderful time with nice cool weather which we appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place.

Needs a Deep Clean

The location of the property is great that's why we are disappointed that house is not clean. The sofa, dining chairs and pillows are old, dirty and stained. The bed in the master bedroom squeaks. The windows in the second bedroom has black mold. It would be a great place if they did a deep clean and update their stuff. Having the aquarium passes is a great perk as it allowed us to skip the long line.
