I have a lovely 4 night stay at The Shippen. It was very clean, tidy and comfortable. I was met by Ann, the owner, who is very friendly and showed me all the facilities of the cottage. She also gave some good tips for walks etc and there is handy information, such as bus timetables at the cottage. I found it to be perfectly placed for walking the South West Coast Path and the nearby beaches. Recommended.

This cottage was near enough to the beach, Broadsands Beach, to walk, about 30 minutes away, if you didn't mind the 230 steps down and up. The beach was perfect for swimming or canoeing. The costal walks are a little limited but fine for us. The village shop is very good for immediate supplies. It was very peaceful and it's the first cottage we have been to that had every piece of equipment that we required. Super welcoming cream tea. Comfy bed and lovely outside area that you could use even if it was a little damp. We would be happy to go again.
