Private riverfront lodge right on the Kenai River! Relax on your deck overlooking the river or walk down and fish from our bank. Alaskan themed furnishings and top of the line furniture. The kitchen is well-supplied along with your own barbecue on your deck. Queen bed in the master bedroom and also a queen sofa sleeper in the main living room area. There is a washer and dryer and large chest freezer along with fishing poles and nets for your use. And at the end of the day, you can enjoy the satellite tv and high speed internet.
We are just 1 mile from downtown Soldotna which can be accessed by a paved bike trail. There are also many walking and biking trails right outside your door.

If you don't want to cook all of your meals in, Soldotna and Kenai (8 miles away) have lots of great restaurants and fast food places as well as Farmers Markets and local Food Trucks.

And then there is the fishing!! As the different species of Salmon enter the Kenai River, some are just easier to catch from our bank than others. If your budget allows, we highly recommend going out with a guide.

We could walk down to Kenai river and location was very quiet. Marv was very friendly- Janet was out of town but very reachable via text or VRBO messaging.

We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations superseded our expectations. The owners are very special and accommodating. The parking was easy and the fishing was the best I had in the 20 plus times I've been in Alaska. We would highly recommend to our friends and hopefully can return someday.

What was not to like! The hosts were perfect in every way! The place was so cozy and views so beautiful! Everything you could possibly need was available down to the smallest items you may have forgotten! Bed was soooo comfortable! And so quiet I truly believe you could have heard a pen drop! Absolutely wonderful

Janet is the bomb. She was extremely helpful in selecting restaurants, getting us set up in her place (which you could eat off the floor it was so clean), making sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely go back to stay when we return to Alaska.

Marv & Janet are excellent hosts! Gave us good recommendations for navigating the area for hiking and fishing. The apartment is clean with all essentials for cooking/grilling. Towels and sheets are soft and clean. Pictures and description accurate. Close to Soldotna but not in hectic area. We would stay here again. Saw moose and twin calfs 2x off deck.

Comfy place!

This was a great place to stay in Soldotna. Very homey. Marv & Janet were great hosts! The two upstairs units share a balcony with a divider. It could have been awkward if the others were hanging outside but they weren’t when we were. Would highly recommend this place.

Most amazing views!

If you have the opportunity to rent this place, DO IT! Janet and Marv are incredible hosts! This cabin is secluded and has unbelievably amazing views! The actual cabin is very clean and comfortable and the perfect place to spend time after all our outings and excursions. We were able to cook dinner a couple of nights and I really enjoyed relaxing by the fire at the rivers edge while my husband fished. We were even able to have an awesome encounter with a bull moose on the property! It was certainly a trip and home away from home to remember.

Beautiful views of Kenai River. Nicely decorated. Kitchen fully supplied. Convenient to Soldotna. Main bed mattress was too soft and unsupportive for my back. Deck is not private with adjacent unit sharing space divided only by a partial verticle wood fence. Adjacent party has to go thru your deck space to get to stairway to go to ground level and get to River. Mosquitoes are very prominent on the river bank after 6 pm.

Great location and property

My wife and I spent a week fishing and hiking around the Kenai peninsula. The property is great, the river access is really nice and house is clean and comfortable. The only thing I could say is that the kitchen knives could use a good sharpening but Janet and Marv have a great place and we will definitely back again.

After raising 4 children and retiring from the Soldotna Fire Department as a paramedic/engineer, we are enjoying this season in our lives; fishing, golfing, and enjoying our grandchildren. We also enjoy helping our guests plan their Alaskan adventures!

Just a 3 hour drive from the Anchorage airport and 1 mile from downtown Soldotna!

What makes this property unique

Standing on the deck, there is not another building in sight. Just the bird filled trees, the beautiful Kenai River with all of its abundant fish, the wooded bank across the river, and the tops of the mountains towards Cooper Landing. Great hiking trails right outside your door as well as the option of fishing from our bank. Moose and eagles are common to see!
