Welcome to The Desert Zen, your comfortable Indio retreat in the heart of the Coachella Valley.

Conveniently located near the Empire Polo Club and Indio’s major event venues, The Desert Zen is an ideal home base for Coachella, Stagecoach, the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival, Tamale Festival, and other desert events.

Approximately 1.5 miles from major festival venue parking and about 0.5 mile from the Coachella rideshare drop-off area. Located near Avenue 48 & Monroe and just 10–15 minutes from central Palm Desert.

Whether you’re visiting for a festival, a weekend getaway, or time with family and friends, The Desert Zen gives you a comfortable place to unwind while staying close to everything the valley has to offer.

Born and raised in Southern California, we love spending time outdoors, hiking, taking long morning walks, and finding new adventures together.

We’ve been hosting for more than 10 years and truly enjoy welcoming guests from all over the world. Hosting has given us the opportunity to meet some wonderful people, and when we’re not hosting, we love traveling and discovering new places ourselves.

A little about us, we’re both nurses. Caring for people is a big part of who we are, both professionally and as hosts. We take pride in creating a welcoming, comfortable home where our guests can relax, enjoy the desert, and make some great memories.

We fell in love with the peaceful desert setting. One of our favorite things is sitting outside with the fountain running, listening to the gentle sound of the water and the birds chirping in the background.

We also love taking early morning walks through the neighborhood, enjoying the beautiful desert landscaping, quiet surroundings, and views of the nearby mountains.

It’s that combination of peace, natural beauty, and the desert lifestyle that made this neighborhood feel special to us, and we hope our guests enjoy it just as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

It starts with the Zen, the positive energy, peaceful atmosphere, and relaxed vibe that make The Desert’s Zen feel like a true getaway.

Our location is another big part of what makes the home special. We’re conveniently located near the Empire Polo Club and many of the festivals, concerts, and special events that bring people to the Coachella Valley throughout the year.

We especially love welcoming members of the equestrian community. Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of building wonderful relationships with guests who return season after season, and those lasting connections have become one of our favorite parts of hosting.

Whether you’re here for an event, an equestrian stay, or simply some time in the desert, we want The Desert Zen to feel like your home away from home.
