Wonderful stay at house by riverside

Idyllic House & Garden on River Lot

We love this place it was our third visit and hope to return again soon. It was wonderful being so close to the river to relax and loved being in the garden during the day and when it was dark enjoyed sitting out appreciating the moonlight and starry skies in such a tranquil setting.

A peaceful retreat

Great location-quiet with total privacy. Theres much to see in the area, castles, bastide villages and great markets. If you get the weather, as we did, the garden is sublime, with loads of space and a great variety of trees and shrubs. The silk trees in full bloom were a bonus. We enjoyed a very peaceful holiday-perfect relaxation.

A little Paradise

A lavishly renovated fully equipped house with a lot of charm. Situated directly on the water with a beautiful garden. A good place to slow down.

wonderful relaxing holiday

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is very nice and well equipped. The garden ist just wonderful with lots of trees and quiet places to sit and read... A place where you can swim in the river is just a few steps away. The area offers many options for various activities. And Callum and Alex are really wonderful hosts - extremely helpful!

Property was exactly as described and meet our expections, full of character and charm. Very well equipped, fans were especially appreciated. Wonderfull garden with multiple seating areas and numerous trees to give shade if needed. Great location next to the river with nearby towns but reasonably private and peaceful. Callum was very responsive to any communication and an excellent host.

Great place!

What a great and welcoming place to spend your vacation. The house is very well equiped, nicely decorated and finished in high standard. A wonderful tranquil garden right at the waterfront of the Lot. There are serveral lounge chairs for a relaxing time in the garden. I picked figues from the tree in the morning and we even made apple juice from the abondance of apples in the garden. Lovely place!

a home away from home

The house is very homely, not like a rental. Lovely art everywhere from all over the globe. The kitchen equipment is very varied, more than I ever came across anywhere. The furniture and beds are comfortable. The sun loungers are first class. The garden is large and a delight. The nearby beach is great for a swim in the river. A ten!

Pretty house by the river.

Brilliant stay at a very pretty house in a great location. The hosts had thought of everything possible to make it as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible. There is a large and very attractive living space with a kitchen area at one end, a cool and comfy bedroom, great shower, bikes to use, and a river to swim in. The hammocks were a particular favourite of mine with a glass of chilled wine after an exhausting day of reading and sunbathing. Bliss. Highly recommended..

This is a beautifully renovated cottage with lovely finishings and a very homely feel, there is everything you need for your stay..the location is superb with no immediate neighbours and a fantastic garden.we travelled with our 2 golden retrievers who loved the walk and river ( that we all swam in) from the doorstep. There are many longer walks and villages nearby that you can drive to.. there are many vineyards where you can do wine tasting ( free!) and buy great wines at great prices, there are local markets in the surrounding villages where you can buy amazing produce.. there are good restaurants ( all dog friendly) within a 15 minute drive and shops/ supermarkets. Tried to upload photos from my phone but it said they were too big?!

Superb

This private, pretty stone house with all the comforts you need is by the lovely river Lot, a large garden with many places to sit and relax and a fabulous terrace for outside dinning.My family including our dog enjoyed a week here in May with sunny days fishing and exploring the countryside villages and brocantes. Rocamadour is a must. My husband had several fish from the river including a 28lb Carp......great sport.The house is so well equipped and tasteful, the hosts are kind and very efficient, thank you Callum and Alex we hope to come back again.......regards Bridget Lovell (Essex)

Une maison parfaite pour de belles vacances où l'on reprend goût au lâcher prise, à prendre le temps, à aimer ne rien faire.L'emplacement est exceptionnel par rapport à la rivière, on se sent privilégié.Nous y étions pendant les fortes chaleurs et la maison était malgré tout fraîche.Un jardin très agréable où l'on peut se reposer.Propriétaires très réactifs et très gentils.

Wir hatten eine unglaublich tolle Zeit an diesem besonderen Ort. Das Haus ist fantastisch gelegen, hervorragend und liebevolle ausgestattet. Man kann im Fluss toll schwimmen und angeln (Karpfen und Wels!). Die Nachbarn und deren Hund Baia sind sehr freundlich. Wer hervorragenden Wein (Malbec) und tolles Essen (Fois Gras) mag, ist hier genau richtig. Wir waren schon oft in Frankreich, aber das war unsere bislang schönste Unterkunft und der beste Urlaub! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke an Callum und Alex

Authentiek huis aan het water

Heel goed vertoeven, leuk huis. Heerlijke tuin en direct aan het water. Fijn dat er een bakker komt in het dorp (je moet er wel op tijd voor uit je bed). Leuke dorpjes in de omgeving en voldoende wandelgelegenheid, onze honden hebben ook weer genoten.

2 semaines incroyables

Le cachet de cette maison en pierre nous a charmé ainsi que le jardin avec tous ses petits coins pour se reposer ou déjeuné soit au soleil, soit à l ombre. Le plus est vraiment la terrasse couverte et l accessibilité au Lot. Callum et Alex sont des hôtes bienveillants. Merci de partager votre coin de paradis !

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison et le jardin ont beaucoup de charme et présentent confort et dépaysement. La maison est très bien équipée. Un petit coup de coeur pour le jardin qui offre une multitude de coins cosy. Des petites bêtes que l'on rencontre au détour de la propriété, les étoiles filantes qui enchantent les nuits. On peut également profiter du Lot, accessible en kayak, et dans lequel on peut se baigner, la pêche en no kill... La location offre une multitude d'activités pour profiter des vacances. Nous recommandons cette location pour les amoureux de la nature et du calme. Un grand merci à Callum et Alex!

Vacances merveilleuses

Nous avons été très bien reçu , c est une maison de vacances idéale , le jardin est enchanteur et l emplacement a côté du lot avec sa petite plage c est top La seule amélioration serait de prévoir un abri genre store ou pergola sur la terrasse pour pouvoir profiter de l extérieur même quand il pleut

Schitterende locatie, fijn huis, gastvrije eigenaren en alles zeer compleet. Heerlijke tuin, ook voor onze 2 honden en dichterbij zwemwater kun je niet zitten.

Wunderbare Auszeit

Wir verbrachten 4 Wochen in dieser wunderbaren Oase. Der Kontakt zu den Eigentümern war herzlich, spontan, witzig. Vollends begeistert hat uns der Garten. Die vielen Fruchtbäume bereicherten nicht bloss das Frühstück. In der grössten Hitze fand man immer ein schattiges Plätzchen. Die Fahrräder sind in einem super Zustand, die Piste verte ein Genuss. Es war zudem sehr einfach, mit den äusserst netten Bewohnerinnen und Bewohnern des Dorfes Kontakt zu finden. Wir haben an deren Leben Anteil nehmen dürfen, das war schön. Natürlich haben wir in dieser längeren Zeit auch viele Ausflüge gemacht. In 2 h ist man in der tollen Stadt Toulouse! Sehr schöne Stadt, gute Ambiance! Aber immer wieder gerne im Fluss am Abkühlen! Ja, wir danken Callum und Alex für ihre Gastfreunschaft und empfehlen die Unterkunft ganz herzlich!

bord du Lot sauvage

Séjour agréable, jardin poétique, juste le bruit de l'eau et des oiseaux. Maison bien située aussi pour programmer des ballades magnifiques en vélo Vers Biron Vers Montcuq toutes à moins de 30 mn en voiture ( cartes IGN 25/000 laissées sur place par les propriétaires attentionnés ... )
