This place was a really nice surprise. It’s probably one of the most perfect vacation homes we’ve rented so far and we travel a lot. Not that it’s luxurious but roomy and practical and well apportioned. Everything we needed.
We loved the quiet neighborhood and enjoyed walking the trail nearby. The place had everything we needed to be comfy and more. I would just suggest not using such strong smelling laundry detergents in the bedding and not having glade plugins We took them out and double bagged them, left the windows open for two days, and the smell was still overwhelming.
Definitely recommend! We had a wonderful stay. We hope to stay again, for future visits to our daughter who attends SUU. It was great to have a walk in with no stairs to enter. It had big windows that allowed natural lighting to the main areas & bedrooms which was great for a basement apartment area.I was glad they had fans for us to use because we returned late after attending a play and they didn't see the message about it being warm down until morning. The thermostat upstairs controls the whole house. We did need to borrow a cake pan/casserole dish (from my daughter's neighbor) so we could make part of the birthday dinner on Sunday.
We stayed here for a quick overnight while in town for a gymnastics camp. The place was easy to find and tucked beneath a lively family home—think charming basement apartment with a quiet intermittent pattering of tiny feet above. Didn’t bother us one bit, but in case you’re sound-sensitive, they thoughtfully provide complimentary earplugs (a classy touch). The main house had small children playing outside that greeted us when we arrived —the apartment itself was spotless. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the bonus coffee and cookies didn’t hurt either. For the price, it was a solid, cozy stay and a great value. Would happily stay again.
Our family enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and felt like home. Cute decor. It was in a quiet neighborhood and we got the rest we needed. Loved this place and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
Location was fabulous. The extra touches the hosts provided, such as biscoff cookies, maps and brochures were very thought out. The earplugs for a night's sleep were placed on nightstand by each bed...such a GREAT IDEA! Multiple blankets and pillows were available as well.
The apartment was very nice. Located in a quiet neighborhood and a convenient location for visiting the national parks. Also close to the highway. The apartment was clean and comfortable.
A couple of things to point out. The listing says excellent views which is somewhat misleading. The apartment is in the basement of a residence and there aren’t really any views from the basement windows other than those of the driveway and the backyard. Also, when we were checking in my wife discovered packages of earplugs in the bedrooms which raised the red flags. We couldn’t figure out what they were for until the second night of our stay. The family had returned that evening and one of the family members has an insanely loud snoring problem. It was so loud that I had to sleep on a rollaway bed in the laundry room with the door closed. This issue is NOT mentioned in the listing, by the way. If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is not the place for you.
Very pleasant stay. Very clean. Nice little basement apartment set up but didn't feel like a basement. Comfortable. Spacious, yet cozy. Nice neighborhood feel.Quick response from property management when I had a question. I would stay again.I only saw options for sleeping arrangements for 5 guests, instead of the 7 listed. There was a strong smell of cleaning chemicals.
Our stay was quite enjoyable! Thank you.The property was clean and well kept. The property manager responded quickly with missing linens. The listing says it sleeps 7, but there are only 5 beds.Recommendations: replace the mattress on the roll away bed (it is very uncomfortable, with springs poking up). Cut the lowest branch on the tree on the right side of the driveway & cut back the plant that is growing out into the driveway to allow easier access for larger vehicles.
All the rooms were very clean and spacious. The whole apartment was decorated to be cozy and welcoming. A wonderful place to return to every day! It made our first trip to Utah even better. Thank You!
Although the listing said there was a DVD player, there wasn’t. The owner wasn’t aware that was in his listing. He went out of his way to purchase the movie we brought with us so we could watch it on Amazon. Very communicative and helpful in every way.
Great place to stay for my son’s graduation. Great hosts who really paid attention to the details.

About the host
Hosted by Jaxon Haderlie
My wife Sarah and myself have been living in Cedar City since 2012. We are passionate about the outdoors and love sharing that passion with others. If we aren't busy chasing our kids around, we are likely climbing, skiing, mountain biking, canyoneering, or camping. We love Cedar City and hope you enjoy your visit to this great community.
Why they chose this property
We chose to purchase this home because of the fantastic neighborhood and location. After renting a nearby property for many years, we knew that we wanted to stay close to the area that we loved so much. This home provided us with everything we wanted in location and offering as well as plenty of excess space. We couldn't watch the extra space go to waist so we decided to offer it as an option for the many wonderful visitors that make their way to Cedar City every year.
What makes this property unique
Two of my favorite aspects of this property are the view of Cedar Mountain and the quiet neighborhood. Cedar mountain casts a beautiful shadow over the city as the sun comes up in the morning and we have a fantastic view of the colorful sunsets in the afternoon. The neighborhood is on a closed block so we lack any unnecessary traffic and it is very unusual to hear anything more than the birds singing.
