Two Bedroom Apartment

"Pieds dans l'eau" is a three-room apartment located 15 metres from the sea and 300 metres from the historic centre, the boardwalk, restaurants, a supermarket, bus stops, parks, and the harbour. It has the atmosphere of a fisherman’s apartment restored in a vintage style, preserving the original 19th-century hardwood floors and other historic features of this small but quintessential “pieds dans l’eau” home. Shared access to a fully equipped barbecue area, a new pergola, private motorcycle parking, a garden, and an outdoor relaxation area. The entrance is shared with my family’s home, but there’s little foot traffic and privacy is guaranteed. It’s also a self-contained unit, so you can come and go as you please.

It’s a quiet home—you can smell the sea and hear its gentle sound in the background, which adds to the enjoyment of your stay. Please note there is a railway nearby with a few trains passing by at night; I’ve always lived with this, but guests who might find it bothersome should carefully consider their choice. At check-in, guests must pay the city’s tourist tax in cash, which is 2 per day per person for the first 15 nights of your stay. Please note that children under 12 are exempt from this fee. To ensure the best experience for you and future guests, we suggest following these guidelines: Follow the instructions for proper recycling; do not leave dirty dishes or leave the living areas dirty or cluttered; make sure you have not left any food in the refrigerator or kitchen; turn off the air conditioning and/or heating; respect the outdoor areas, terraces, pergolas, and/or barbecue areas; adhere to the check-out time; and report any damage or breakage before check-out. If these rules are not followed, you will be subject to penalties, and in the event of damage, you will be held responsible.

The apartment is truly just a short walk from the sea; you can smell the ocean and hear the gentle lapping of the waves on the beach, which is mostly sandy. The water is crystal-clear, and the public beach allows you to find the perfect spot. The apartment has just been renovated and is located on the ground floor of a single-family home. It isn’t very bright but is cool and quiet. The entrance to the property is shared with my family. The two beds are French-style, 140 x 190 cm, both new and in excellent condition. The kitchen has an electric cooktop. The bathroom was recently renovated and features a spacious shower. I did the renovation and part of the decorating myself, and I hope guests will appreciate it. To ensure guests’ privacy, we have curtains for daytime use and blackout curtains for nighttime—of course, we made those ourselves as well.

Available only upon request; discreet family members live nearby. Please note that the property uses a Sanitrit drainage system; therefore, do not flush any objects, cardboard, nylon, or plastic down the drains, as they may clog the system.
