Retaining original beams, this stone-built cottage was originally used as a stable block, giving the property its name.
It is situated next to a working farm in the pretty village of East Witton, just a few miles from the market town of Leyburn. This is a great destination for anyone looking to explore the Yorkshire Dales, with walking trails nearby, as well as Jervaulx Abbey and Braithwaite Hall. The village has an award-winning traditional pub serving seasonal local cuisine in front of a roaring fire, great for unwinding after a day exploring.

There is so much to do from this romantic cottage, from the walks and cycle trails of the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the quaint villages and market towns including Hawes, Leyburn and Masham. The amenities of Middleham are just a short drive away, and include excellent old pubs and local restaurants, as well as a well-stocked general store and imposing castle. A walkers’ haven, with the challenge of Penhill a particular favourite. Or why not plan a day out to ‘The Forbidden Corner’ a walled garden with surprises sure to delight those who visit. Golf and horse riding nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
