Top-notch cottage, wonderful views
Bit of confusion sorting out which cottage we were renting (website/agency not very clear) but luckily the mobile worked outside the house and caretakers could not have been more helpful. Loved the location, the views, the warmth and comfort of the cottage. We know the local area well and eadily find waljs and things to do.

Traditional homely cottage in a secluded dale.
Traditional homely cottage in a secluded dale. Well equipped kitchen, central heating is excellent ( we were there in October) and fabulous views up the valley from the sitting/dinning room.
Cottage is a semi but quite separate & unaware of guests at other cottage.
Lots of seats outside & big patio at side , again with fabulous views.
Do walk Penn Hill just behind the cottage.

A lovely little cottage in a beautiful location.
A lovely little cottage in a beautiful location. No amenities in the immediate area add to the unspoilt and 'away from it all' feeling of the property.
It is kept spotlessly clean by the caretakers of the cottage. Every potential need has been anticipated and catered for.
Highlights of the property for us we the location right next to the moor; the open fire with logs, kindling etc included and the ponies in the adjacent field who are very happy to come and meet the latest visitors to the cottage.
Our children are already asking when we can return.

We (2 couples) loved our stay at Griff Head cottage.
We (2 couples) loved our stay at Griff Head cottage. It was well-equipped, spacious, comfortable, and spotless, the view was outstanding. The wifi, which we needed, was excellent. The nearby moorlands were perfect for walking, and when our car broke down we even managed the trek into Leyburn for supplies. We will try to return another year. A perfect break after almost 5 months of quarantine.

Comfortable cottage with a lovely view of the moor and fields.
Comfortable cottage with a lovely view of the moor and fields. Access to the Yorkshire Dales for walking and attractions is good with most places within an hour's drive. Leyburn is the nearest place for food supplies and shops. There are various pubs and eateries within 10 to 15 minutes drive. The cottage itself was well equipped for self-catering, the beds were comfortable and the water for baths and showers was nice and hot. The furniture in the cottage is a little worn and out-dated but if you're out most of the day, it's not a major problem. There is reasonable internet access and a phone landline if you haven't got mobile reception. All in all a good place to stay.

Beautiful cottage in an absolutely stunning location.
Griff Head is a lovely cottage. Very cosy and warm and equipped to a very high standard. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped, with lots of crockery and various pots and pans and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Little touches like hand soap, tea towels, kitchen and toilet rolls were very appreciated, along with the welcoming tea and biscuits. The views from this cottage are simply stunning and the Moor is a few yards up the road, right on the doorstep.
We would recommend bringing (or buying) some bottled water to drink as the tap water does have a taste to it, but be assured that you will struggle to find a more comfortable cottage in a better location.
Campbell’s in Leyburn is a must for any shopping supplies with a huge arrange of goods, a fantastic butchers counter and a whole floor of wine!
Thank you for the use of your beautiful holiday home and thank you Lorraine and Norman for care you give it to ensure we all have such a good experience. We love this part of the world and will be back!

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location with great views over Coverdale. It is extremely clean and well equipped (cleaning materials, condiments, tea bags, sugar, plenty of kitchen/cooking utensils including a good set of knives which, in our experience, is unusual for a holiday property!). The open fire makes it very cosy in the colder weather. There is a secluded patio for sitting out. Would highly recommend this cottage for a family or two couples.

This is a superb holiday setting.
This is a superb holiday setting. The accommodation is very good and the amenities suitable.
The owners have put great thought into tasteful renovation of the buildings within the confines of the Dales National Park regulations.
This is far from our first visit and will certainly not be our last.
We do consider that the 4'6" double beds throughout the two contiguous properties should be upgraded tho Queen/King size. The rooms would certainly accommodate them and the taller visitors would really appreciate such a move
